They don't take reservations which gave me pause, but when we arrived around 6 PM there were a couple of 2-tops available along with bar seating. We chose the bar which gave us an excellent view of the kitchen. It wasn't long though until all the seating was taken. It's a lively place with a high energy vibe. We started with a couple of beers. I chose the Parrie "PAA PAA" Japaneese rice larger beer. It was light and mildly distinctive. Jan selected Lao Gold, another rice larger. It was light with floral hints. We enjoyed both brews. We ordered the double fried chicken wings to share ($14). They come seasoned with red curry fish sauce, shallots and herbs. They were excellent. We also ordered sticky rice ($4) and charred green chili dipping sauce ($2). Loved the dipping sauce, the flavor and the heat was just right. I was taking the sticky rice and breaking it into chunks and dipping it into the green chili sauce. Nice! We also ordered beef skewers ($15) to share, two to an order. Loved the skewers. As I was eating my skewer, I was thinking that I should had got my own order. Our server/ bartender did a good job. All the staff was friendly and helpful. It did get a little noisy, but it never interfered with our conversation. Everything is ala carte. The prices are moderate.

Be warned, though, the original papaya salad at "light spice" is incredibly spicy, even for a thai person. Sai Oua (sausage) is exactly how it should taste and I loved this nice little side dish. One star off for service - not only was the service really really slow (had to walk inside to ask for the server to come out and take our order), but we ordered the fried chicken and never received it because our server forgot to put in our order. So sad, especially since the fried chicken is supposed to go with our salads and sticky rice we ordered! And the fact that we don't plan on coming back to OKC in the near future. Street parking wasn't that hard for us during late lunch hours.

I had read an article that this place was closing down over the summer due to family health reasons and was so pleased to hear that they still have their doors open! We enjoy supporting local, small businesses. We ordered 2 orders of chicken pad Thai and a six piece of their fried chicken wings! Our order took 10 mins and we received our food hot and fresh! Everything was made to order. You've got to check this place out! The owner did inform us that they plan retiring in a year so don't wait as long as we did to try it! Ambiance: It is quiet and nicely decorated. There is TV playing in the background as well as music. Food: The Beef Pad Thai (1/5 spice) had extremely good flavor and a heaping portion. The peanut sauce was smooth and not overly sweet. The Chicken Tom Yum (4/5 spice) was served in a family style dish. The flavor was incredible and addictive. Mushrooms are not a preferred vegetable, but the broth flavor overtook the mushrooms. Wonderful sour flavor, but the spice level was no joke. There is also a cooking class on Saturday's 2-4.
