Monday lunch at Thai House. It's probably been over 20 years since we dined at the Thai House. I never think about Thai food but as I stopped at 23rd and Walker earlier today I noticed the Thai house and thought I'd take Jan there for lunch. As I recall from years ago, they had a buffet line, but it is now gone. They have daily lunch specials (seeds photo), but we ordered off the regular menu which is quite extensive. I ordered (T2) Thai Chicken Cashew. It came with steamed rice. I enjoyed it. It was flavorful and prepared and presented differently from chicken cashew I've had at other asian restrauants as it came in a bowl with broth. I'm used to chicken cashew being plated. I requested medium spiciness but it came very mild. I would order it again. Jan ordered (NO10) Kui Teo Tom Yum with mild spiciness. It came with medium spiciness. They may have got our spiciness requests reversed. She enjoyed it. It was hardy, flavorful, and served in a large bowl. It was enough for two. The restrauant is ordinary, uninspired, and lacks imagination. The table spacing is so far apart it seems odd. The service was good. The prices were $13.95 and $13.75 for the two dishes. read more

The food is delicious here. I've had it as takeout and also ate it in the restaurant and it is a wonderful experience no matter how you do it. The service is great in the restaurant. The ambience is just a typical restaurant feeling, but they're very inviting in. It's located in an accessible part of town. read more

This is my favorite place to get pad Thai. It is one of the few places that can make it spicy but with flavor not just to burn my mouth. I have been going to Thai House for years now (ever since I was in high school). I was introduced to it by Jason from 23rd Street body piercing (if you need a new hole go see him ;) I can't speak on how authentic Thai house is or isn't I hear, see and read differing opinions. What I can say is whatever I have ordered I have always liked. I will admit anymore though I tend to stick to the chicken pad Thai though made spicy as it is my favorite. The servers are always on top of things keeping my drink filled and making sure I am comfortable. This last time they brought out an extra fan and situated it for me. That's service. My only gripe is they have kinda odd hours, but other than that I highly recommend giving them a try. read more

Wow! Thai House rocked my night. If you want truly spicy and delicious Thai food in OKC, go to Thai House. I was overly ambitious and ordered extra spicy red curry chicken, and ouch! It burnt so good. We came in less than an hour to close, and our server was great. It's a cute little spot to dine in. But it looks like carry out is king. They had like 10 orders picked up while we had dinner. They have a good parking lot, which I appreciate in okc. And prices were very fair! I highly recommend! I am surprised that Thai House only has 3.5 stars. This is hands down the best Thai in OKC. The flavors are always perfectly balanced and the food is fresh. The menu is extensive and the website is played out nice for ordering. I have never eaten inside as I typically order takeout for home. read more

Went there for lunch and had one of their daily specials. It had a sample of their favorite dishes. Each day has different dishes available listed. Food was very good, the service was lacking as they get overwhelmed having to cover the Togo orders and the lunch crowd, somewhat expected. I'll be back to try something new. read more

Best Thai food in OKC, it's not even close. The food here is always delicious and fresh. The food sometimes takes a little long, but the chefs clearly put a lot of effort into each dish and it shows. They use ingredients that are more authentic and elevate the dish. Most Thai restaurants that I've been to in the OKC area use regular broccoli in substitution for Chinese broccoli, this place doesn't. Perfect ratio of price, quality and quantity. The staff are really friendly. If you are on the fence about trying this place, give it a shot, you won't be disappointed. If you only care about quantity and don't care about quality stick to Panang or something. This place is a gem compared to all others. read more

Probably my favorite part about Thai House is their daily lunch specials. It's a fantastic way to try a variety of items from the menu in small, affordable portions. The food is amazingly prepared and packs so much flavor. I love it when a place knows how to do spicy right, and Thai House gets it. The staff are all super friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have about the menu. This place is awesome and worth frequenting. read more

Okc is my hometown and came here after being gone 10 years in Cali due to unexpected circumstances and came here with family we experienced very friendly staff, nice clean establishment, food made fresh to order, and delicious. Excellent Thai food - their Khao Soi was the bomb. Generous sized portions for their spring rolls as well. Server was also very attentive and had periodic refills of either water or iced tea. Their exterior sign visible on the street also has periodic and excellent witty Thai-cuisine themed puns like "Live Free and Thai Hard" or "All You Need is Larb". (There may have been a third to complete the trilogy but those two are already very hard to beat). The interior dining room was also very spacious and well-lit. Everything was bought to go. Portion size for to go orders is on the smaller side for the cost of the food. They do have some stand outs, particularly the deep fried pork and grilled squid. They are simply delicious. The green beans stir fried is okay. Pad se ew is sweeter than other places. Curry is too light. I feel like it needs to be creamier. Originally, I wanted to go to the Thai cafe but it was closed. The wait was very long. There was a sign on the door that stated they were short staffed, but I waited an hour and half for rice and curry soup .After reading the comments I realized that this is normal. Hmm just ate here recently and thought the food was much better than what the reviews say. Tasty no-frills Thai restaurant. Decor is a bit simplistic, which along with the seating layout puts the ambiance somewhere between hole in the wall and nice. No alcohol to be had--not necessarily a bad thing with all the after-dinner options in the area, just a note. Anyway, the food is priced right and is delicious. We generally share a curry (h/t red curry) and then get some appetizers. I have mixed feelings about this place. It use to be very good and consistent. Lately, it's been very inconsistent and the wait is ridiculous. I know they have a note on the door that wait is longer than normal, but from sitting down, to getting a menu, to ordering drinks, and getting the food... it was a good two hours. The staff is nice, but they clearly were only pushing out mobile, to go, DoorDash and Uber eats order. They have a board on the wall that is full of receipts and you can tel only the to gos we're being made. I kept asking the lady who was bringing out to go orders if she can check on my order, and going to the board, she said you have 7 orders ahead of you. I said those seven orders were not there before me.... And her response was we have to get those out first. Wow. Anyways, if you go on a day where it's slow, you will get good food. On busy days, the food isn't great. It's mushy and you can tell the food was not cooked properly. Spices are not correct. My meals came out before my appetizers. When I asked about those, they came out 30 mins later. My kids were so hungry and fussy, if it wasn't bc we had already put in our order, I would have picked up my family and left. Today, I have met up with some friends to have lunch. We visit this restaurant quite often. Today we all decided to order Tomyum Noodle. It was that sort of day. You know, pretty gloomy and wet. We also order moo-ping and Chicken Sate as appetizers. Appetizer were great. However, the Tomyum Noodle turned out to be disaster. Well, first I noticed the noodle was not cook. It was pretty hard. And then as we eating the food. The ground pork was uncooked. We attempt to tell staffs about it they said that they will recook/reheat the pork. We waited for few minutes and they brought out my friend bowl. It was the same bowl they were only recook the ground pork. We were really disappointed. We decided to not eat and go somewhere else. They have refunded us for the noodle and apologized. read more

There was a sign on the door warning us that wait times were longer due to staffing issues, so we were prepared for a longer-than-usual wait for our food, but unfortunately, we experienced unacceptable (in my opinion) wait times. When we arrived, maybe half the tables were full. We were seated immediately, we got drinks, we ordered, and then we waited. Several tables left, a few came in, and we kept waiting. Take out orders were being brought out pretty regularly and picked up. At about 40 minutes in, we started looking around, and soon realized that two other tables that had arrived after us had not only gotten their food, but they were halfway through their meals. And they didn't order cold food or salads, where I could have understood the delay on our food. Around the same time, we asked one of the servers about the status of our food. I worked in food service AND retail for years, and I'm not out there being a jerk to people in the service industry. But it was clear that our server was bothered by us asking, even politely. They provided no information as to how much longer our food would take. One of the dishes we ordered arrived around the 45 minute mark. It was overly salted, and very close to being inedible, though I suspect it would have been eaten regardless. The second took closer to an hour, and though some of it was hot, the meat was actually pre-cooked. I know this because part of it was cold. The noodles were sticking together, which I always suspect means they were refrigerated. The taste was actually pretty good, which is why they're getting a second star. Maybe our order was forgotten. Maybe they don't make the dishes we ordered frequently and had to put some additional spice mixes together. S*&t happens, I get it! I don't expect any restaurant to do it right or perfectly every time, but when your wait times are so far above the average, I think you owe it to your customers to be more transparent.
