The evil jungle curry is so delicious but it had very little broth today and it seemed to have a lot of rice in it which I don't remember it being that way. Maybe so and I just don't recall. Middel of the strip mall with a "Panang" yellow and green sign you can't miss. Food is always good, vegetables are fresh, and you can always tell them what spicy level you want. Service depends on who you get. Most of the wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Every so often we get someone who has a little bit of attitude for some reason. Service is always top notch and the food is no less. Always fast service whether you're dining in or taking out. It's a small, casual, comfortable place. The service from Kary was great! The food was excellent! Everything was flavorful and fresh. However, PANANG Thai Restaurant is absolutely hands down in several locations around OKC, Norman. The restaurant on South PenSylvania is y favorite. The atmosphere is nice. The food is playful and incredible. I love their garlic shrimp bowl and shrimp spring rolls. Dumplings are excellent to. I can't say enough good about this place. I can't begin to eat all the food they serve but it makes good leftovers for sometime the next day. Restaurant is clean. Food is exceptional. Service is great. Whenever I crave Thai food in Oklahoma, Panang is the place to go! Portions are always generous. Atmosphere is casual and service is fast! Spicy Catfish: Spice is on a scale of 1-5. I typically go for a 3, which I don't think is that spicy. Tender fried fish soaked in a curry sauce with mixed vegetables. so yummy! Shrimp Fried Rice: A classic! I always have to order this. Pour some of the curry from the catfish onto the rice, and it's the most perfect bite. Crab Rangoon: Crispy & filled to the brim with filling. 10 pieces was extremely generous! I can't complain. Seafood Tom-Yum: Soup that has nice sour accents. It comes in two sizes: a personal, singular serving or a hotpot, larger serving for 2-4 people. My only complaint is that they only give one bowl of rice for the larger serving. Larb Salad: We don't eat this often, but when we do, it's pretty good! Was seated pretty quickly but felt like we were almost forgotten because it took a while for someone to come take our order. Ordered a few different dishes. Food came out quick afterwards. Great food, great service in a nice place. We were greeted as we walked in and seated right away. Our server did a great job suggesting appetizers and one of the people in our party had not eaten Thai food before and the server helped them make a good choice. The pot stickers were really good. I had Shrimp Pad Thai and it was probably the best Pad Thai I have ever had. Great flavor, loaded with shrimp and a good size portion. Everyone commented on how good their dishes were. Our server checked in on us regularly during our meal to make sure we had everything we needed and that we were happy with our meals. My sister, husband and I had lunch here on Tuesday. We all had some version of the Tuesday special. The daily specials are interesting because you pick one thing from groups 1-4. I selected Spring Roll Pork, Green Curry Chicken, House Chili Chicken Stir-Fried and then i noticed they gave the option of Pad Thai Noodles instead of rice, which is so bland and ubiquitous, so I chose Pad Thai Noodles! Everything was delightful except the green beans in the House Chili Chicken Stir-Fried. They were TOUGH. I don't mean lightly sautéed and crunchy, I mean old and tough. Anyway I had to pick them out and I'm not picky. I only report these so the cooks will be more careful and not use them if they are tough or freezer burned. I didn't eat the pad thai since I'm allergic to peanuts, but everyone in my party seemed to like it the most (for reference, we all Asian). The dishes marked as spicy were maybe medium, so if you want spicier/milder, you can probably ask. Portions were large, and we were able to eat family style. The restaurant provided us with extra plates/bowls as needed. They refilled our water in a timely manner.
