I stopped in today and was greeted by a host who offered me to sit anywhere I'd like. I was starting to think there weren't many, if any Filipinos in OKC and was delighted to see not just Filipinos but other backgrounds dining in as well. The restaurant itself was clean and well decorated. The menu had a pretty standard offering of Filipino dishes as well as additional items on a separate chalkboard on the wall. I saw things like 'pinapaitan' and 'kilawen' and knew for sure they had to be ilocano. I ordered chicharron bulaklak and bangsilog. My order didn't take too long to come out and when it did, the presentation was neatly plated with heart shaped rice on each plate. I really appreciated that small attention to detail and felt they really put a lot of love into the food. I thought the food was excellent. They nailed the texture on the chicharron bulaklak and I devoured everything. Towards the end I saw they had cassava cake (my personal favorite) and was really excited to order it but was told they had sold out. Regardless, it did not take away from my experience. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will make sure to make this a regular stop whenever I'm in town for work.
