Outstanding food and nice wine. On a pleasant day, eating at an outside table is very relaxing.

I ordered a hibiscus tea while I waited for my friend. It was incredibly refreshing and flavorful, the best I have ever had. For food, we shared a bunch of stuff. We got a dip sampler with labneh, hummus, and an eggplant dip. All were fantastic and came out beautifully. They brought gluten free crackers out for me as well. The shrimp was divine. Garlicky, flavorful, so good. Will be thinking about this for a while. Definitely order sides, as the proteins just come with the protein listed unless you do a lunch special. The halloumi fries were incredible and came with an amazing sauce. Fried in a dedicated gluten free frier- amazing. The food was paired with a lovely aperol spritz, a lovely patio, and a kind and attentive server. Would go back every week if I could.

We went fairly late and found out that their last call was at 8:30 PM--something to keep in mind if you're planning a visit. Overall, I enjoyed the food profile, though the service could definitely be improved. It was challenging to get the server's attention, and some cutlery was missing until we asked for it. My friend and I shared the Mezza Sampler - Hot ($32), which included 2 falafel, 2 kibbeh, cauliflower, and halloumi fries. Each dish was quite good, but the highlight for me was definitely the fried cauliflower. It was served with tahini, tzatziki, and pita bread. I'd recommend this more for sharing, as it can get a bit greasy. Our other friends ordered the Lentil Soup (small - $5), served with bread crisps, and the Batata Narra ($10), which are potatoes in a tomato chilli sauce. They said both dishes were good, though the Batata Narra wasn't spicy at all.

We ordered the Lahm b Ajeen w Jabneh, Zaatar w Jabneh, and the spicy chicken reinvented flatbread (which didn't even make it to a photo because we devoured it so fast). The texture, flavor, everything was spot on. The place itself is a small, cozy hole-in-the-wall with charming, authentic décor. The service was just as impressive, super quick, warm, and welcoming. I'd 100% recommend this spot without hesitation.

My husband wanted to try the new Shiok Express stall that had recently opened up in the Lougheed…read moremall food court, so we went to have lunch there together. The menu at Shiok Express is limited and heavy on meat, which doesn't work so well for me as I'm Pescatarian. Consequently, we made a stop at Golden Pita just outside Lougheed Mall so that I could grab something there for my lunch while my husband would eat food from Shiok Express. It's a small restaurant but there are a few tables there if you'd like to sit and eat there. They've got one of those things that stands upright and rotates while holding a big chunk of meat on it. That's something I used to enjoy back when I was a meat eater. It definitely caught my husband's eye. If he hadn't already been set on eat at Shiok Express that day, I think he would have ordered some kind of meat dish from Golden Pita, so he could have the meat carved freshly from that rotating thingy...(I really need to figure out the proper word for that thingy!) I ordered the Vegan Special which came with 3 pieces of falafel, a spinach pie, stuffed grape leaf, tabbouleh salad, rice, pita bread and hummus and tahini dips. This was a wonderful meal and I highly recommend it. Even the rice was tasty. This one order gives you so much variety. The only thing I didn't like was the tabbouleh salad. There was too much parsley in this salad. Everything else was delicious and I really hope to go back there again sometime! Service: Fair Parking: Plentiful and free. Location: Convenient. Lots of shops and places to eat both at Lougheed Mall and in the surrounding area.

Ended up coming here for lunch twice in one week. First time my mom had the Chicken Shawarma Wrap…read moreand I had the Vegetarian Denver Omelet Pan. Seems like the Pan items take longer to prepare, so it took awhile for the order to come out. Worth the wait in my opinion though. I loved my Vegetarian Denver Omelet Pan. It was piping hot, and the Omelet was so fluffy! This dish was a definite winner for me. One of the best things I've ordered in all the times that I've come here. Next time we came I ordered Fries and Cheese, with a bowl of Levantine Lentil soup. Mom had the Shawarma Chicken Pan, and my daughter had the Pesto Avocado Egg Wrap. The first thing that came out was my Levantine Lentil soup. I wished that they had brought it out later though. I don't like eating before everyone else's food has arrived, and it was quite awhile before the rest of the food arrived. Probably due to the Shawarma Chicken Pan since as I said before, that the Pan items seem to take longer to prepare. I took a few spoonfuls of my soup every few minutes just so I could enjoy at least few spoonfuls of it while it was still somewhat hot, but I would have much preferred for the soup to have been brought later, together with all the rest of the food. I felt guilty taking those few spoonfuls, but then the longer I waited...the colder my soup got. Next time I will tell them to bring the soup out later, when all of the food is ready to bring to the table. My fries and cheese came out after the soup. This also came before the other orders were ready. When it came, the server said she would bring some forks for us to eat the fries, and also some sour cream to go with the fries. Holy smokes...she took ages to come back to us. How long does a person need to go grab a few forks and a small container of sour cream?! I think the Shawarma Chicken Pan didn't look quite as impressive as the Omelet Pan I'd had earlier in the week. It was just chicken in the Pan. My Vegetarian Denver Omelet had been a lot more colourful than the Chicken. The dish did come with fries and they also gave my mom some bread as well. None of it very colourful though. I think if my mom wants chicken at this place, then we'll stick to ordering wraps for her. They seem to do very nice wraps at this place. My daughter had enjoyed the Pesto Avocado Egg Wrap before so this was her second time ordering it. For Pan dishes, I'd recommend the Halloumi Pan that I had on a previous visit and the Vegetarian Denver Omelet Pan.

My first time here. Take out order…read more The Tabouleh/Quinoa Salad $12.95 with added Chicken $4.95. When I first arrived home and took the salad out of the bag my mind forced an involuntary laugh out of my mouth. That's how small the salad was. I mean for nearly $18. The Chicken itself was well seasoned. Tasted Mediterranean. The Quinoa tasted older than a restaurant should serve. The Tabouleh. Because it was not prepared fresh there was no lemon juice, and that's a must for Tabouleh. Underwhelming really. The dressing it came with didn't taste like anything. Just slightly oily. So, I used my own at home. Also, because the portion of the chicken was so tiny, I added my own egg. At home. :/ While waiting for my order, I noticed they grabbed my Tabouleh salad from the pre-made window for foods to go. So, that explains why it wasn't fresh. I checked out their menu on their website first before going in. Much of what's on their website is not offered in-house. I wanted the Chicken Salad which they didn't have. When you walk in the place the experience is very different. Cute little spot. Friendly Service. Clean. But, the actual product falls very very short. Disappointing more than anything. .......so, keep that also in mind. Yeah....I'm kind of done with reviewing this place.
