My brother found Dr H because he occupied a new Honor Healthcare building close to my brothers house in far north Scottsdale. Since both he and the facility are brand new, they have all the latest medical gadgetry and I've found I can always get in to see him within 24 hours if not the same day. His initial comprehensive examination did not leave a stone unturned and the precise note taking of my medical history(lengthly) made me feel like, by the end of our first appointment, that he had a solid grasp and understanding of my relatively complex medical history. My only concern was that I thought he wouldn't know all the best specialists since he's new here, should I need referrals. No worries! The other doc that practices with him has been here for many, many years, and knows all of the top notch docs to refer out to. The Doc and me bonded over our love of music and travel, along with our love of Arizona and all of it's wonders, amazing history and culture. While I'm just a music aficionado, Dr Ken ( and his wife)are actual first rate musicians, and have already immersed themselves in our local music scene and have been preforming all over town. Most importantly, it is apparent right off the bat that he loves his job and truly cares for all of his patients. Whether you want or need 10 minutes, or 60 minutes, he will carefully listen to all of your concerns and gripes, triumphs and disappointments. HE CARES! The empathy is genuine and I always leave his office feeling better both emotionally and physically. Presently I'm facing a lot of stressful challenges, be they in my life, my kids lives', and my entire family's lives. When you have someone in your life who genuinely cares, and wants to help you to help yourself better learn how to begin tackling the problems/ issues, offer you useful tools to help smooth out the rough patches that we all seem to hit at one time or another, when you have a Dr H.in your life, everything everywhere becomes immeasurably better, and easier to get through. I began PRP injections for one knee and StemWave therapy for both knees in an attempt to hold off surgery. I honestly didn't expect positive results, but felt the need to try something. I'm glad I did. After a few weeks there was a noticeable decrease in swelling in the knee having PRP and a drop in pain in both knees from StemWave. I'm hoping the effects last. Time will tell. He figured out a combination of medications and supplements that really really has helped. There is no cure but mostly I feel much much better. Usually great in fact. I had an appointment on Tuesday 10/12/2020. I then found out he had left the practice in September. I was not sent a letter from the practice (still open) regarding this change. The whole staff has changed except for Michelle at the front checkout/schedule desk. The interim doctor is Dr. Debra Michel (pronounced My-kull like the name Michael), she is no nonsense but thorough. The office now accepts insurance (Medicare, BCBS, and others). They are getting new insurance companies as time goes by.
