I'm very disappointed with my overall experience with Edicine…read more I called the front office to schedule an appointment yesterday for a lingering cough at 1:45pm and she said she didn't have anything available until after 3pm. After talking to her for a few minutes she told me to head over as she'd squeeze me in at 2pm. When I arrived, there were no patients waiting in the lobby which seemed weird that she made it seem like they were fully booked. Nonetheless, the check in process was fast and I was grateful to get in so quickly. The front office staff member took copies of my DL and insurance card, charged my card for payment and a few mins after I was taken back. The appointment was very brief; the doctor checked my vitals, throat and ears and wrote a prescription for antibiotics. The medical assistant asked for my preferred pharmacy and I gave her the cross roads. I received a voicemail this morning from THE WRONG PHARMACY 20 minutes away from where I live... stating the prescription needed prior authorization and had not been filled due to insurance issues. I called Edicine and left a voicemail as soon as their office opened explaining that I needed a different prescription sent out to the Walgreens by my house and stated the address in full, including my full name, DOB and call back number. I have called Edicine 6 times today and have not heard back from anyone. I'm going out of town tomorrow morning and it feels like a complete waste of time and money getting seen by their facility when they completely screwed up the most important part. I'm extremely frustrated to say the least.

You judge for yourself the level of transparency they have: Me: Hello doctor, I was wondering if you can provide certificates of testing for a particular batch of Wolverine pack that you are planning to sell to me. Specifically, I'm looking for certificates for these tests. doctor: we only order from 503B Pharmacies. Please research what 503B vs 503A is. Only 503A provides COA's. 503B pharmacy medications are tested by FDA. 503B has much higher leve of testing standards. Me: Ok, that's good to know. Would you be able to tell me which 503B pharmacy you are sourcing the product from? doctor: I'm sorry, we won't be able to disclose to you which 503 B Pharmacies we have contracts with. Me: Thank you for letting me know. The lack of transparency is not necessary a dealbreaker, but still a red flag for me. Given the amount of misinformation and misrepresentation on vendors and practitioners out there, I hope you understand my level of scrutiny. If your source pharmacy is 503A, I would need testing doc on my batch. And now 5 months later I'm still trying to work with insurance to get someone to care. There should have been $0 charged, but they billed multiple times due to an error with the insurance. Now they wont remove the duplicate bills, or fix the coding error, as they stated I came in for an entirely different reason. Not to mention, the extent of my annual physical was asking me a few questions then sending me off. No blood work or anything, other than blood pressure. How is this standard practice?

I am on Insulin. I am overweight and I have high Blood Pressure. I came into the Desert Foothills Medical Center Urgent Care a few weeks ago. I was in a panic. I couldnt breath. I thought I was having a heart attack. It was 4pm in the afternoon, and I found Desert Foothills in the phone book (they dont have a webpage, if you can imagine). I was greated at the door by a well dressed lady with a calm demeanor. I came to find out that she was the owner's (Doctor Martin Chattman) wife Joann. Granted, you might at this point think this is an odd "mom and pop" style version of Medicine. But it's not. The urgent care was modern, immaculately kept. I was immediately ushered to a Cardiac Bed and hooked up to a heart monitor. Within 5 minutes, Doctor Chattman himself was seeing to me. He was calm, extremely knowledgeable. He determined that my heart had no problem. I was relieved. I wanted to leave. Dr. Chattman prompted me otherwise, and spent the time (Which i have never had a doctor do) to talk to me, and really understand what I was going through. I told him about my chest tightness, my dizziness and slight cough. He insisted I get a Chest X-ray, which they did in the back room. 30 minutes later, I got my results. Dr. Chattman took one look at my X-ray and diagnosed me with pnuemonia; A condition brought on by my weakened immune system. Something that had been missed by every other doctor I had seen simply because they considered my symptoms on the part of me being obese. (turned out later to be "walking pnuemonia" which is harder to diagnose). I cant go as far as to credit Dr. Chattman with saving my life. But I can surely attest to the fact that he has made it a lot better. I am on the mend, and I feel wonderful.
