I have seen the majority of providers, and they are all clinically advanced, open to discussing alternative treatments not just prescribe unnecessary medications. I appreciate that's the last resort. I schedule a new patient yearly exam visit. I was 10 minute late for my appointment and when I got there the told me I had to reschedule because I doctor had another appt. So my appointment was only for ten minutes. What a joke this was going to my primary doctor. I think I find another doctor that wants to meet me for more then 10 minutes especially for the first visit. read more

They used to be the best, but now they NEVER answer their phones. I send them messages and it's if they don't even read them. They say they send in prescriptions, but they send them to the wrong pharmacy, or forget to send in all the prescriptions. They say they are making a referral, but they forget. It's gotten bad! I'm not sure they even read the blood draws. They will say, "they are fine." but then when I finally get in to see a PA, I find out they were not fine! read more

I would not go here. They demand you sign papers so you are there Medicare clinic. I understand they get money but they do nothing but stress people out. I tried to ask Brianne why I needed that test to be seen she was very rude. She said I am not here for questions just to schedule. My husband and I had our first (new patient) visit with Dr. Sciara at Alliance Med and we were both impressed. The staff couldn't have been more helpful or pleasant. Casey went over the prelim with each of us and explained everything clearly and was very friendly. We were very impressed with Dr. Sciara! Their bedside manner is terrible and they seem to lack empathy, especially with their short unhelpful answers to the issues I bring up. I've had quite a few medical issues and with the most recent ones I've had a lot of pain, which feels like it has been completely written off. I feel like they have been completely ignoring the issues that I am actually concerned about (even when I'm crying in their office) and talking about pretty much anything else. Scheduling was easy through their website. The day of my appointment I checked in, only took 3-4 mins and was called back within 10 mins of arriving to the office. The staff greeted me with a smile, took my vitals and showed me to my exam room (which was decorated very nicely!) Robyn the NP that I was scheduled with came in and introduced her self to me and my daughter. She even commented on my daughter's shoes, which was cool because what 11 year old likes to go to the doctor's office let alone with her mom? Made us both feel right at home! She was very thorough with her exam and came up with a game plan for my health issues I was having. I highly recommend her and this practive for all of your healthcare needs! read more

I have been going to alliance medical clinic for over eight years. In all of that time I have never had one bad experience. With an appointment I wait less than 15 minutes most of the time sometimes less than three minutes. The Care has been professional and complete. In fact, the nurse practitioner Diane Wren after examining me with very vague complaints, sent me off to labs,EKG and chest x-ray. Long story short x-ray revealed modules. She sent me immediately for a CAT scan and then referred to the pulmonologist and later the surgery. Due to an early diagnosis I did not have to suffer chemotherapy and radiation. I had the upper lobe of my lung removed with a three day hospital stay. I couldn't have asked for better care. read more

Nurse Wren is not only a good medical practioner, she has the ability to deduce things that your comments don't tell you!

Follow-up calls are ridiculous, you just get voicemails. I contacted their office on the 25th of April six times and was able to talk to someone only once. I requested a referral and wanted to get a CT scan and nobody seems to work there or return my voicemail and waiting on the NP to approve my request. I will attempt calling the following day. read more

Made an appt looking for a new PCP in January, was able to get in and see Dr. Sciara, we discussed arthritis and BP medicine needed to change due to no longer being effective. Dr changed my medicine and ordered blood tests. Dr and or the office never followed up to see how I was doing on new medicine and still have no idea of what the lab results are. because again his office did not follow up. I called and left a message curious about my results and to let him know the new BP medicine was not working never got a callback. Flash forward to today 3 months later I had my follow-up and I was told he wasn't in the office today and I should have gone to his other location for my appt. Why would I switch locations from the one I established with?? Now I get to go find another new PCP and start this process all over again meanwhile my health suffers and the expense of this. Hopefully, this review will red flag any other potential patient from this practice. read more

If you want a practice that treats you like family this is your place! I see Dr Sciara & Angela NP and they both equally awesome. They spend the time to sit with you to fully understand your needs & address them appropriately. I have never had any issue getting in to see them in a timely matter either, as a matter of fact the last time I needed an appointment they were able to get me in that afternoon. I recently changed my insurance carrier & they are not on my plan but guess what, I still went to them & just paid the cash price rather than find a new practice...that's how much faith & trust I have in them. I was mis diagnosed with a heart attack according to Diane Wren She did an EKG and told me I had had a heart attack. I needed to rushed to the hospital either by ambulance or someone would have to come and take me, she told me I could not drive. She also told me they would get me right in because of my condition. Got to he hospital the triage nurse looked at my EKG and questioned who told me I had a heart attack. I sat there for over 4 hours waiting to be seen by the ER doctor. I checked with the triage nurse she told me they take patients based on priority and I was not a high priority. I told her my Dr. sent with with a possible heart attack, still I waited. Finally got in the ER Dr. also asked who told me I had a heart attack. I had had chest pains a few days earlier and I told Diane Wren I suffered from Acid Reflex and I had been burping a lot and thought that may be the problem. The ER Dr. suggested I stay overnight to runs tests. After a day of testing the heart Dr. came in and told me there was no sign of a heart attack and my heart looked very strong. Oh before I forget I asked Diane Wren to contact my heart Dr. and send him a copy of the EKG so he could look at it before I go to the hospital, she told me "no". My wife was in Canada had been there one day of a 3 week stay, she flow home when I called her. She did go back to Canada 2 days later when she could get a flight. I called to talk to Dr. Scaria, he did not return my call instead he had one of his office personnel call me to say there must have been something wrong because the hospital admitted me. read more

I went there today for a doctor appointment but before I went, I verified with the office they were in network. I got United Health to switch me to them and when I got there they told me that United Health had their tax ID wrong. Then I was told I had to call the insurance company and straighten it out for them. My sister who worked for an insurance company for years told them they need to do it as it's their business. They said they didn't want to tie up their office phone!!! So I used my cell phone to call United Health which we did and they said the doctor's office has to do it, not us! So using my cell phone, the doctor's office told them the tax id # and they company said that's the one they have and the girl behind the desk told them it was wrong! No other patients in office, doctor looking on, and this was to follow up on a fall, broken arm and elbow and I was needing some home health as broke dominate arm with bed ridden husband at home. THE DOCTOR'S NAME IS PATRICK SCIARA!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE AND DOCTOR. read more

I am absolutely appalled after coming here! I scheduled an appointment for 4:00 today. A lady with long black hair was up front as was a gentleman with dark hair and in blue scrubs. I believe it was the doctor. The lady up front got off the phone with a patient and she and the doctor began bad mouthing the patient. They said her name, they talked about her medical file and that she didnt want to go get another sleep study and mimicked some the things she had said. The lady up front said she "Had to listen to her bit@#&ing". They reffered to the patient as "crazy" and how it was good that she wanted to go somewhere else. All of this with me, a new patient, right there. Ummm no thank you. I handed the new patient ipad back and said I can't be a patient here after hearing you guys talk about another patient that way. They didn't even bother with an I'm sorry. BTW if you are a lady in your sixties or seventies that called about 3:45 on 2/20, you may want to consider filing a complaint. read more

I did not have an appointment but felt I needed to be seen right away and so I went to this clinic at the recommendation of a friend. I was told at the front desk that the soonest appointment would be around 3:00pm, mind you.. I was there just when they opened at 8:00am and NO PATIENTS were even in the office. I told them I felt like I was going to pass out and my blood pressure had been up and down ALL weekend. They told me they could not see me and that the soonest availability was in the afternoon. I asked if they could check my pressure, which they did at MY request.. it was high but still did not get me in to see a doctor, even though NO ONE was in the office but the staff. I even agreed to come back for the available appt, after taking my blood pressure.. upon trying to schedule the appt, the girl at the front desk said the appt was no longer available. I walked OUT before I really lost it in there with the staff! I do not recommend this place to ANYONE.. not unless you have an appointment and you do not have a serious issue going on because they do NOT care. Do not go to this place to seek medical care, you are better off going elsewhere, they do NOT treat you like family as other posts stated! read more

I have been a long-term patient of this medical practice, but today, I am done! The process of getting prescriptions re-filled continues to difficult at best. I understand the compliance need for medical practitioners to have patients come in for a visit when a prescription is out of refills, but what I don't understand is why this practice continues to hold patients' hostage when they are completely out of and in need of medication. I was told this morning (9am) that they would approve my refill after I scheduled my next appointment which I did. I went to pick up my script at the pharmacy around 1pm only to learn that it had not yet been approved. This happens all the time with this practice. I called them at 2pm asking to please approve it for me, so I could pick it up soon. The answer - "I can't guarantee that, it's in Dr. Wren's inbox." I said, "I am out of medication and need to pick it up today, can you please have her sign off on that for me, so I can go pick up." The answer - "No. She will get to it when she can." So happy to be with a medical provider that thinks thier time is more valuable than mine and who could care less about thier patient's needs. If you require monthly medication, I highly recommend you don't go here. Your frustration level will only be elevated by talking to Shannon at the front desk who is absolutely no help.
