My favorite LaFayette restaurants were closed that Monday. But, guess what is open on Mondays? The Lafayette Library is! Did you know that there is a precious coffee and lite breakfast/lunch spot inside the library? I got an Americano - it was really good too. We were hungry for lunch and thanks to Yelp, I knew we could order food. We both got the chicken salad on a croissant. Also very good. What I was delighted to learn was that we could get a local favorite cinnamon bun at Wolf's Den too. I've heard that the Cinnamon Grove booth at the Lafayette Farmers' Market sells out all the time. More good news, the charming barista, he turned out to be the shop owner Baelyn ! AND Baylyn sells his delicious coffees, mugs, teas and flavored sugars at the same Farmers Market. What a fun lunch and a wonderful find! Today, I went to buy a few gift cards. I met local customers Deena and Jude. They came to Wolfe's Den three years ago when a grandchild apparently smelled the chocolate doughnuts. Deena and Jude told me that they've enjoyed everything they have tried here! If you, like me are trying to "buy local" and "support small businesses" ~ Wolfe's Den is gonna be your spot too! Don't you love finding new favorite places?

I was able to enjoy the breakfast brunch sampler which included ham and cheese quiche, a tomato pie, and a strawberry crêpe with fresh fruit. I appreciated the selection of quality teas, locally made dessert options also a plus. Not sure why yelpers have been so up appreciate this locally owned business. So I do hope that you guys will read through some these reviews with an open mind. We waited, probably about 20 minutes to be seated, which isn't too bad, especially without reservations and as another yelper mentioned wait times. The prices were very reasonable compared to some of the mass chain restaurants you find or even other spots outside of Mentone. The only critique I have would be for our server savanah. She kind of rushed us a little bit with bringing us a check before we were quite finished. I chalk it up to her being young and maybe not as experienced, but she was very friendly.

Milk & Honey absolutely lived up to the hype. We went for breakfast, and despite the fact that they…read moredon't take reservations, we didn't have to wait at all which already felt like a small miracle. Our server Katie was fantastic. Since it was our first visit and everything on the menu spoke to us, she helped steer us in the right direction. I ended up ordering the pistachio croissant, and honestly... I'd go back for that alone. It was warm, huge by croissant standards, and absolutely heavenly. I even grabbed another one to take home because Future Me deserved a little happiness too. We also tried the raspberry lemon danish, which was a delicious combo, but the pistachio croissant stole the show without breaking a sweat. We started with the poutine, and while it wasn't the traditional version I've had before, it was incredible. Instead of cheese curds blocks, it came with pulled pork and melted cheese, and somehow it just worked. Comfort food with a little Southern flair. For breakfast, we had the ham and cheese omelet with breakfast potatoes. It was exactly what you want it to be--classic, satisfying, and impossible to regret if that's your usual order. I also tried the Liquid Gold juice. Their juice selection is impressive, but I may have accidentally found my forever order on the first try. It was so refreshing, with just a hint of ginger. For a hot drink, I highly recommend the London fog. I'm not usually a tea fan but if you don't want coffee, this is an excellent option. Before we left, we picked up some of their salted caramels to go, and they make the perfect little gift... assuming you have enough self-control not to eat them all in the car. The vibe here is upscale southern diner. One of the signs on the wall said, "All are welcome, but you need to act right," and honestly, that's the kind of life advice we could all use. I also really appreciated that parking was free. In Chattanooga these days it's hard finding a place where you don't have to scan a QR code, download an app, and pay to park just to eat. Great food, great atmosphere, great service. Milk & Honey is absolutely worth a visit...and if you're debating the pistachio croissant, stop debating and just order it. Your only regret will be not getting a second one.

We spent some time outside before being seated, but the food and service made it worth it. I stayed in my carrier throughout the meal and was able to join my humans indoors. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and never made us feel out of place. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was lively, and the service was attentive even though the restaurant was busy. Now for the most important part of this review. While enjoying brunch, I witnessed something I never expected to see: a baby goat riding around the restaurant in a pet stroller. At that moment, I realized Chattanooga may be one of the most pet-friendly places I've ever visited. Between the great food, kind staff, and unforgettable people-watching opportunities, Milk & Honey ended up being one of our favorite brunch stops of the trip. Dogba's verdict: Excellent brunch, friendly service, comfortable carrier dining, and unexpected goat encounters. Five paws !

We tried a few items from their beverage menu, including the specialty Churro Iced Latte, Mango Smoothie, and a Horchata Milk Tea. Each drink was well done and I liked the variety. I can be indecisive, but the descriptions made it easy to choose. The atmosphere of the cafe was cozy, despite the large space. It had a relaxing vibe, smelled great also. The baristas were friendly and efficient, managing to serve a solid line of customers within a short waiting period. I particularly appreciated the thoughtful attention to detail regarding the espresso-to-milk ratio. As someone who is caffeine-sensitive, it was great that the barista mentioned the amount of espresso in my drink, so that I could adjust it. My husband appreciates that you don't just get a cup of "milk" when you're ordering a larger latte. It's a win-win. The Mango Smoothie was also surprising, my daughter loved it and she is picky! I had a little bit and liked it as well. I also decided to try the Horchata Milk Tea, just in case I didn't make it back, and I'm glad I did.

I didn't have dinner last night so I decided to get a breakfast sandwich opted for the sausage, egg and cheese sandwich on a bagel... All four of the things were low quality the bagels, tiny the sausage and egg are for sure. The smallest I've ever seen in my life. There is a half of slice of American cheese on it definitely don't I also wanted, but apparently they don't have that so I got an Americano, which is fine but it just seems like the type of place that up charges you everything and you'll be spending lots of money for low quality dot I guess the service was OK. I don't know if she was shy or not but didn't even say hellojust stood there and I ordered. Still looking for a good breakfast place in Dalton, Georgia. I'm editing this after taking bites out of my sandwich... This is literally the worst sandwich I've ever had in my life. I can't even eat it. If I could give this place lower than one star I would.
