    Coffee on the sun room

What a beautiful place with an honorable misión. We had the Hope House Coffee - Delicious! My wife had the fruit and walnut chicken salad in a toasted Croissant and I had the Pimiento Cheese Chicken salad pressed on sourdough. All very tasty - we ate it before thinking to take pictures. Everyone loved as friendly and the service was great. It's worth a stop, or two, if you are in the area!

I've been here a couple of times. The food and service is always good. I like sitting on the porch with all the windows

Wow!! We stopped on a long road trip, not expecting such a gem. The coffee is very good, the chicken sandwiches great, and the turnip greens soup unspeakably good! The staff are SOOO nice, and the proceeds support a residential recovery program. Can't ask better!

What a great lunch! They offer salads, wraps and sandwiches. They also offer small cakes, brownies and chips. It is a simple menu but served very well. We had a baja chicken wrap and chicken walnut salad salad with bottled water and tea. I really enjoyed my salad with the veggies I liked. The baja wrap was also good and served with a pickle. They have a few gift store items around and a fun space for kids and coffee in a back room. The entire restaurant has such a good feeling. The ladies were very friendly and we enjoyed the music playing. We would recommend stopping for lunch or calling ahead for take out. We wish we lived closer to support their efforts.

This is just a lovely little spot to grab a bite. You should try it once just because they have such a good ministry.

I loved their pimento cheese sandwich, and it tasted just like Meemaw used to make at home.

We chose to dine on the porch since that was what had originally drawn us in, but there were several fun and uniquely decorated seating options inside the cafe as well.

We were hungry after 4 hours of hiking and they were very welcoming when we called to inquire about dine in services. We arrived at the restaurant and were immediately greeted and seated. We wanted a special drink to share so we asked for their bar drink menu. They certainly had lots of choices of mixed drinks... some I had not even heard of. We were chatting with our server and all of a sudden there were two more servers commenting on drinks as we asked what was in them, etc. I love restaurants where servers are this friendly. One recommended a couple of the drinks and having never tried one of them we chose the not so nicely named Leg Spreader. It was pretty good and probably sneaks up on you because we could not taste hardly any alcohol. It was pretty good... if you love honeydew melons you will love it; if not try something else. Overall, it was good but not sure if we would order it again. Sometimes you have to stick with the classics. Although they had some healthy choices on their menu (and that is my typical choice), I decided to indulge and ordered a philly cheesesteak which I have not had in many, many years with a side salad. My husband ordered one of their specialty burgers with some french fries. The food arrived in a reasonable amount of time and wow, did my cheesesteak look good... no photos because I was so hungry I just dove in and completely forgot. It was served open faced. I polished that baby off in no time. It was so good. Full of onions, peppers, even banana peppers and just the right amount of cheese so that it complimented the other items and didn't overbear them. If the roll had been grilled just a tad bit longer so that it stayed a bit more firmer, it would have been utter perfection. My husband enjoyed his burger and fixings... he ended up not eating his roll. He also was happy with his french fries. I did not hear any complaints from him and I was probably too involved in my cheesesteak experience anyways but I have to assume he liked his late lunch, also. Overall, the servers were great. The drink was so good after 4 hours of hiking and we were very happy they were open for dine in. I forgot to even mention that my side salad was pleasantly a decent size and I have to assume that if the side salad was that good that their full size ones are probably excellent. Thanks for the memories, Jeffersons. You were a pleasant surprise.
