I found my vet! From…read morethe moment we walked into Animal Hospital of University Drive, the office staff was warm and welcoming. The tech, Jamie, immediately put both me and my pup, Paddy, at ease. Paddy was nervous and hiding under a chair, but Jamie gently reassured him, promised she'd be back in a minute--and sure enough, she was right there. Before we knew it, his blood test, rabies vaccine, and other needed shots were done quickly and smoothly. Then Dr. Carl Ansara walked in--with a smile, jeans, and a T-shirt--completely unpretentious and instantly calming. He asked thoughtful questions, gently examined Paddy, complimented his haircut, and with a wink and a nod even "sanctioned" our next stop for Paddy--a snug nap after a McDonald's treat! It was also clear how much they truly love animals; Dr. Ansara and Jamie even shared stories about their own seven dogs. I couldn't have been more pleased. At the end of the visit, Dr. Ansara stepped out and returned with his personal cell number, saying if I ever needed him, not to hesitate to call. That level of care meant so much. The pricing was reasonable and fair, and the level of kindness and professionalism was outstanding. Over the years, they've helped our cats through eye infections, cyst growth, heart murmurs, parasites, and more, and we always felt our cats were in very good hands. The pricing has also always felt very fair no hidden fee, and before any more expensive tests, they always took the time to explain and ask first, which we really appreciated. The vet assistants are also absolutely amazing and so kind, and the front desk staff are always warm, friendly, and super quick when we need receipts or SOAP notes. Overall, we've had such a wonderful experience here. We're honestly really sad that after leaving Fort Lauderdale, we won't be able to keep coming here and seeing everyone anymore. She got my little girl Lilli in to see Dr. Bennet on a cancellation. We had never been to this office before, but from the moment we walked in, the ENERGY was amazing. The two ladies at the front desk were holding two little dogs; the love they were showing those little ones was amazing. My Lilli began walking around checking the office out and a little dog came up to her and offered to show her around the place. I was stressed so this made me feel good. Dr. Bennet, Jill, Suzanne, and the other Lady (so sorry forgot her name) were so gentle with us. I know Lilli was not feeling good, she is 16 years old. Dr. Bennet was so thorough in her exam and testing, explaining images, blood work, and everything until I completely understood. My Lilli ended up having cancer that is now invading her other organs. I will go to this office to have them support me in releasing Lilli into heaven tomorrow. After leaving the office with this horrible diagnosis, the receptionist called me to comfort me for 45 minutes. That is service above and beyond!!!!! Thank you.

They gave us a list of places to choose from and we picked Scarbrough Animal Hospital based on the vet assistant's recommendation. I called the same day, explained the situation and I was given an appointment for the very next day. I had the presence of mind not to feed my baby in case they needed to put him under. I was seen right away. Treated with compassion and respect. In the end my dog needed 13 extractions due to an infection, he also bites the corner of the wall and caused a lot of damage to his teeth in the process. I left him there at 10:30 am and he was ready to be picked up at 5:30 pm. They also explained everything in much detail, and even called me the following morning to check on him. It wasn't inexpensive, we paid almost $2500. I can't say whether they are priced competitively or not, but my dog and I were treated right. I highly recommend

We first brought our beloved Jack there about a month ago in a very serious condition. He was suffering from acute kidney problems in addition to advanced heart disease. The team treated him with extraordinary competence and care, and he improved enough to come home and spend three more precious weeks with our family. Those weeks meant more to us than words can describe. Unfortunately, we had to return when Jack went into severe congestive heart failure and was struggling to breathe. From the moment we arrived, everyone treated him with urgency, tenderness, and respect. They placed him in oxygen, tried to stabilize him, explained every detail honestly, and gave us the time and support we needed to face the most painful decision of our lives. Jack passed away there in my arms, exactly as I wanted: close to me, surrounded by love. My husband and our children were also able to be present and participate in saying goodbye. The staff created a peaceful, private, and loving environment for us. Even during such a heartbreaking moment, they were gentle, patient, compassionate, and deeply respectful of both Jack and our family. Today, they called to let me know that Jack's ashes had arrived and were ready to be picked up. That call brought all the pain back, but it also reminded me of how thoughtfully they cared for every part of this experience--from trying to save his life to helping us honor him after his passing. Jack was not "just a dog." He was our family, our companion, and one of the greatest loves of our lives. We will forever be grateful that, during his final moments, he was surrounded by people who understood how deeply he was loved.
