I thought I was not hurt until after a week. I was in so much pain, and I was depressed for a while. I cried all day until I spoke to Sylvia. Sylvia is very calming and has such compassion. She helped me a bit with how to accept the accident, and the thing that matters is that I am alive. My case took a while, a little over a year, which I knew from the start, as James explained to me. James is a very nice person as well. He was very gentle talking to me, making sure that my feelings would not get triggered by the accident. I didn't have to do anything. All I had to do was answer the phone when Sylvia called. They dealt with the insurance and all that. I only contributed a bit when I was having problems with my health insurance. I cannot make phone calls anymore because my brain is all over the place, and guess what, Sylvia and her assistant took that burden, and they made all the phone calls. They have a team of really good doctors. All have compassion and so much understanding. My pain subsided slowly until I felt 100% whole again. My depression lessened as well. I am back to working out and started meeting people again. If I didn't meet this firm, I would be inside my place, repeating the accident over and over again until I looked old from depression. This is my third time posting this because they have reached out to Yelp to remove my review and have my account deleted multiple times but I am an actual former client posting an honest review. *Warning* Do not hire this firm if you want to win your case. Terrible service. Incompetent staff. Constant gaslighting. My experience with Ross Quient at MelMed Law Group was utterly unacceptable. 1. Lack of Preparation: I hired Ross in July 2023 for my unlawful termination case, but he failed to gather critical documents, only informing me of this on mediation day. We were unprepared, which undermined my position. 2. Failure to Advocate: He sat silently while the mediator made personal attacks against me, leaving me to defend myself in an unprofessional setting. 3. Unprofessional Settlement Handling: Ross repeatedly provided incomplete drafts of the settlement agreement and pressured me to sign incorrect versions. This felt deceptive and unprofessional. 4. Tax Documentation Neglect: He neglected to secure necessary tax documents, exposing me to unexpected financial consequences. 5. Coercive Tactics: I felt bullied into accepting a low settlement, resulting in a loss of income. I cannot recommend Ross or MelMed Law Group. Response time was excellent. Phone screener's review of concise/factual info, active listening skills, and remaining pragmatic about discrimination in today's workplace was very poor. What's more, when the screener is presented with info that an employer's unfair treatment is because of (Race, Sex, etc.) he dismisses it as simply unfair treatment (Mutually exclusive - Unfair treatment due to Race). According to EEOC, Race discrimination involves treating someone (an applicant or employee) unfavorably because he/she is of a certain race...(https://www.eeoc.gov/laws/types/race_color.cfm). I and likely most could respect simply be told that the Law Group has decided not to become involved rather than to be treated in a dismissive manner when presenting prima facie info to screeners. I can't speak to the qualities of Attorney Melmed because I have not had an opportunity to interact with him over time. If he is the leader of Melmed Law Group, I expect great Attorneys and leaders to take responsibility for the conduct of their staff in such instances and take steps to prove the two 5-Star reviews posted here on Yelp are consistently true. read more

Mr Delshad will notify you serval times that if he takes your case. The process is very slow. Although you may have provided all the information that he required. It's not up to him to determine how quickly things can go. I would recommend giving him a call every 3 months to check on his well being . ( nobody likes being in court all day ) Or call every 5-6 months if you do hear from him to just as nicely about a friendly update. - please consider some things. Jonathan is an extremely high profiled attorney. Most of his days he is in court.ALL DAYYYYY.where he is unable to use his phone. He also attends depositions that are recorded. His office is located in Los Angeles and traffic is insane. I takes me 1 hour and 50 minutes to get to his office and I live 20 miles away. He also has a life as well. Things happen like emergencies. Therefore, considering all these factors and try reaching out again. He would be glad to hear from you and see if he is able to assist you. Jonathan will also do a screening to determine if he is able to take on your case. He will not waste your time at all. Wow.. where do I begin?.... I believe I've been blessed to work with Jonathan and his team. He is kind, honest, classy, great sense of humor and intelligent. He carries confidence in a humble way. He takes pride in representing his clients therefore he does not disrespect nor let his emotions show Coming from someone who has some trust issues I will not lie and say I trusted him from day one. But I will say that his work ethic, character, drive and encouraging words is what allowed me to have faith in him. He is very positive and will be up front with you at all times. For me, I enjoyed learning from him and utilizing it when needed. There are so many things you can take away from working with him. He make you feel good that there are still nice honest people in the world. Not all lawyers are bad apples. You will not be disappointed at all. He really does care and takes his time to ask about your well being. There were times I needed to vent about how my case was emotionally draining me. He listened to me and gave me his best advice without ever forcing me into making any decisions for his benefit. He allowed me to find my closure and finally heal. I can't thank you enough. My attorney abandoned me for 2 years. No call, no emails , no return, no copies or updates on case, but wants 40% plus fee. So offered a settlement price agreed to price, $17,500 but when I got the paperwork to sign, for the final agreement, i notice that they WOULD HAVE RECEIVED $16,150. I would have received $1,350. This case was for stolen wages. Sad your own attorney was about to steal it again. Not 2026 or ever. See you all in court!!!!! BE AWARE

Unfortunately, after about 1.5 years of my case essentially going nowhere, that firm recently decided to drop my case. From the very beginning, Avishai and his team moved my case forward with a level of urgency, professionalism, and attention that I honestly had not experienced before. The difference in progress was immediate. What took my previous firm about 1.5 years to barely touch, Avishai and his team began actively moving forward in a matter of weeks. To their credit, they responded quickly to my outreach, but it was immediately clear they had not actually read my message, which was detailed, organized, and clearly outlined the legal issues at play. Instead of engaging thoughtfully, the conversation devolved into a rapid-fire stream of questions without ever allowing me to fully answer a single one. I was repeatedly interrupted mid-sentence, often cut off halfway through explaining key facts, only to be met with either a condescending "explanation" or another unrelated question. It made any meaningful dialogue impossible. What was particularly frustrating is that I am highly informed on the legal framework involved -- including California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), protected vs. unprotected leave, and the employer's obligations around the interactive process. This was not a vague or uninformed inquiry. The case is nuanced, yes -- but also legally strong and well-documented. I was more than capable of articulating that, had I been given even a minute to speak. The overall tone was dismissive, condescending, and frankly misogynistic. There was a clear dynamic of talking at me rather than with me -- as if my role in the conversation was simply to respond to interruptions rather than present a coherent set of facts. It felt like an "old school," ego-driven approach that left no room for a collaborative or respectful exchange -- particularly with a younger woman who clearly understood the subject matter. If he had paused long enough to listen, he would have quickly understood both the structure and strength of the case. Instead, the interaction was dominated by interruptions and assumptions.Bottom line: Gross experience. Condescending, dismissive, and unprofessional. I would strongly recommend avoiding.
