The shelves are filled with a large selection of books, all organized by genre. There's a section for stationery, puzzles, totes, and other fun things as well! The dedicated children's section has the most whimsical little door where you may catch grown-ups slipping through from time to time.... While you're there you may see one of the many shop dogs they have as well! Parnassus is very involved in the community. They host events like author talks and book clubs. My…read morehusband and I braved the Hillsboro Pike traffic on a Sunday afternoon and ventured to Parnassus for the first time a couple of weeks ago. It was busy but not packed when we arrived, and it looked like the staff was setting up for an event. Books are arranged by genre, with newer titles near the front of the store. I found a few novels I've been eyeing, and the prices are fair. I could have easily spent a few hours browsing ... as easily as I could have spent a small fortune on books. It is worth noting that my husband was disappointed at the graphic novel selection (it was only one small end cap), and sadly he left empty-handed. Even still, this is a great spot to pick out a new novel, and a great chance to support an independent bookseller!

Love Christian Publishers because they have a little bit of everything, Christian Classics,…read moresupplies, a decent selection of Bibles, and even what many would call Spirit Filled or Charismatic authors. They have a little of everything for everyone! Most of the "Christian Bookstores" in Middle Tennessee have been or are denominationaly driven, but Christian Publishers is not. Which is refreshing. I like to read many different authors and have enjoyed being able to find just about everything I've wanted here, and at a fair price and many times cheaper than Amazon! I highly recommend Christian Publishers! Check them out!!!

I have been here on more than one occasion solely for the café, but I do find myself wandering the store browsing for a good book from time to time. Most of my purchases here have been books for my nephews and a few corporate/career-based books. The store is always well stocked, well kept and clean. Service is beyond friendly, and they are always so helpful! I legit look lost each time I go in, so I ask for directions and they make sure I get to where I am going in the store. Overall, cool to still have Barnes & Noble brick and mortars around, especially this location!
