Eg two of us were only able to eat half the cauliflower served to us. Highly recommend the duck; it was great! I am picky about wine and really loved their glass list. The French Chardonnay in particular wowed me. They had free bikes which we didn't have time to use to check out the nearby bike trail. The complimentary brownies were rich and luxurious. We arrived April 2 for our 2 night stay, for my daughter's 16th birthday with two of her friends…read more Our room was not ready until well after five when it was supposed to be ready at four. Their waterpark is only open from 11 AM to 7 PM when basically every other waterpark that I've ever been to is open at least 12 hours a day. When the waterpark is closed, there is nothing else available in this place. Food is almost impossible to come by and if you do, you will wait an incredibly long time. The waterpark is small and crowded. Almost all the restaurants are closed until five if they open at all. Our room which was over $400 a night was not what I expected in the bathroom looked like something that you would see in a prison with the drain in the middle of the floor of the bathroom no designated shower or bath area it's just a shower curtain which had molded all over the bottom of it, over a tile floor. Our garbage had someone else else's tissues in it and our shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were all empty. This made me wonder what we waited till 5 o'clock for because checkout is at 11 and check-in is at four. That's five hours for their staff to clean the rooms. I think that that is enough time if you were properly staffed which they are far from. It was the worst resort waterpark I've ever seen or been to. The manager, sabrina is elusive. I asked for her when Daniel was at the front desk when we were trying to figure out when our room was going to be ready and he couldn't find her and then the next morning I called down and got Sabrina on the phone, but she put me on hold for forcing me to go downstairs and then wait for her yet again. This place is so poorly managed. The only good thing I can say is that the employees were nice. And I think that that says a lot because they're constantly hearing how horrible this place is and they all know it. This was also the most expensive waterpark we've ever been to. Please save your money. This place is an absolute rip off, and you will be sadly disappointed.

My wife is from LI and grew up coming, so here I am. The nostaglia factor is huge here, and I don't have it. So to be fair all around, I'm noting what I have experienced and grading them on the food. Place is upstate ghetto, and I mean that in a good way. There is plenty to do, however most of it is comparable to a park. There is a swimming pool, pool slide, lake, boats, playground structures, pool, basketball, video games, shuffleboard and more. Lots of outdoor activities. The great thing is being with other families with young kids, and being able to drink with the other parents while the kids go off. They also do stuff like a hayride--no hay included, just a dude speeding in a pickup truck on the country roads--a DJ night and a visit to a farm. They make the most of the area which is good. Accommodations are simple, however they have upgraded some of the rooms which has made it a lot better than it was. The food is better than it has any business being. All meals are 100% homemade, themed with 1 offering each, all you can eat, include dessert, and it is worth noting what is served on what day. The best by far is the roast beef, which is accompanied by german potatoes fried in bacon fat. They are superb, especially with some gravy and the rare roast beef. Thanksgiving is another good one, as are the homemade cold cuts. It doesn't always make sense, however have never had a 'bad' meal here. Even the baked ziti isn't bad. Always ask for the lemonade. Weirdest damn thing is they never have fries (not even at the lunch counter). Shakes at the lunch counter are superb though, as is the over buttered popcorn. I've grown to like coming here, and my son loves it. That's enough for me. Wish there was a brewery nearby or something instead of the stupid golf course, but such is life.

She is one of my guides and we had a very thoughtful conversation about my itinerary. She made some key adjustments that really aligned with my needs and also took time to explain some of the concerns I had. I would absolutely give her a full 5-star rating- way to go, Kelty! Additionally, I had a conversation with Tim couple days ago who was my reservation agent. Tim went above an beyond-he helped me arrange payment for my package, showed a lot of care, and even spoke with his supervisor to ensure my concerns were met. The instructor was very knowledgeable, offered hands-on adjustments, and made the classes challenging. The facial was fine, but not that good; she had me sitting by myself with a sheet mask on for 10 minutes, and didn't even bother to give me a hand or foot massage during that time like most spas would offer. Probably the most disappointing part of the day was the food. For what I paid for the day, everything on the menu should have been EXCELLENT. It was not. Honestly, I wasn't drawn to any of the entrees, so I just ordered a bunch of the appetizers as my meal. They weren't that good, to be honest. The crab cake did not have Maryland crab in it (I'm from Maryland, and that's the only way to make a proper crab cake!), and the tabouleh was just quinoa. You could easily take the money you would spend on a day pass and treat yourself to a facial/massage, yoga class, and nice meal for less money and have a better experience.

Nicole is not only incredibly organized and thorough but she gives tremendous advise too. The cottages are lovely and spotless due to her focus on the details and big picture. With Nicole as manager, we are considering renting some of the cottages for an extended family winter vacation. Nicole and everyone on her team are courteous and helpful, setting a wonderful tone. The neighborhood is just ok but once you walk onto the property, you'll see why its a little oasis, right on the lake. The cottages are lovely --modern with full nice kitchens, fireplaces, comfortable beds, etc. We used local vendors which worked out so well! They all had worked on the property and with each other so it was flawless. We had such a good experience, we're considering renting some of the cottages for a family reunion.
