Spent the weekend here and I have to say it was amazing. The staff and the grounds are gorgeous and the rooms were amazing The restaurant, babblers was just as good. I had the salmon. Overall, I highly recommend staying here or even just coming fora meal It's right in the heart of town with so much to do

Main lodge. Registration, rooms, cafe, and onsite restaurant are located here.

Had a lovely time here with my group. All staff were nice and helpful. Made everyone feel welcomed and even provided helpful information. Loved that there is a bar/restaurant and cafe onsite. When not open, can walk or check out a bike to ride down the street to a coffee shop that also has food. Rooms are comfy. I found the bed very comfortable and recommend any room with a balcony. Aa others have mentioned there is no cable TV. You'll need to "cast" your own television app to the TV. I also missed having a coffee maker. Great location to other nearby towns and Windham Mountain. Check their website for special events. Would stay here again.

I wish I had filtered these reviews better, before spending almost $1,000 on three nights at what's essentially a motel with a pickleball court and two barrel saunas. I'll start with the good - the staff was great. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The grounds were beautiful. Everything else was genuinely rough. The place was filthy! This is the one time I forgot my hotel slippers, and the floor in our room felt like walking on sawdust. I swiped the floor with a baby wipe and the result was disgusting. We stepped on an endless amount of things from previous guests - earring backs, dog kibble, random sharp shards of plastic, A PILL. We were traveling with our toddler so that was totally unacceptable. There were cobwebs behind our nightstand and on the cloth headboard. Lots of spiders and massive carpenter ants in the room. My allergies were terrible because this is a dog friendly hotel (we love dogs!), and there was definitely dog hair all over the room. If we weren't traveling with my in-laws who drove almost 9 hours to meet us from Canada, we would have left early. The rooms were bare (no dresser or fridge), and SO NOISY! We heard people thrashing up and down the hallway stairs all night, and heard every step from the people upstairs. You don't charge $300 a night (upwards of $500+ a night on fall weekends!) for that experience. That's just outrageous. The resort basically shut down come Sunday night. Nowhere to get snacks, ice or even a bottle of water. Monday morning was completely deserted - again, wild to charge a resort fee on days when there's literally nothing to do, and nowhere to even get coffee. Coming from Brooklyn, Wylder felt like Fort Greene was transported to the mountains. Way overpriced and full of people who are willing to pay for a few Instagram photo ops, regardless of actual quality. I wanted to love this place, but sadly it was a bust!

Great stay with very sweet and attentive staff. They have a lot of fun programs such as a cocktail making class, paint and sip, and live music! The property is gorgeous with fun amenities like a barrel sauna, bikes, and pickle ball courts. You can also walk down to a few small shops like a bookstore, ski shop, and pharmacy.

    Babbler's Restaurant

Absolutely wonderful! The staff is the sweetest and most helpful I have ever seen. So many amenities and activities. An absolutely amazing weekend! 100/10

I disagree with the first reviewer, Michael, by far. The pricing of the resort for sure isn't cheap, but I challenge you to find all the amenities they offer plus a place to stay and the kind staff they have all totaling less. I believe you're paying for convenience too-I imagine after a long day of skiing this would be as wonderful as it was in the fall. Some downsides: while there is Babblers restaurant on the property, there isnt room service- fortunately we were able to coordinate that with one of the hotel staff so it ended up work that out. We also had selected a room with a balcony, but the balcony didn't have any chairs or anything on it so while it was a nice view there wasn't really an opportunity to sit out there and enjoy. Other balconies had Adirondack chairs but I guess we just were the ones who didnt get them. Additionally, there is an ipad that seems to offer different services, but the services I ordered throughout the day (towels, room cleaning at a certain time) didn't end up happening until I called the front desk (which really is the best way to coordinate everything since they're so accommodating). The good (and there is a LOT of good): the saunas were lovely and never a wait to book them or use them. The heated pool was empty both times I used it both at night and in the morning. It was a large pool and perfect for the season- the resort was private, we barely ran into anyone else on the grounds unless we went to the main house or restaurant/bakery. The bakery was great! Got an oat latte both days and an avocado toast which was amazing. The restaurant was nice too although we never ate in it we got some food delivered and it was satisfying and good portions. There were hammocks and fire pits that were set up you could just enjoy and you could sit by the creek for a relaxing time. Yoga was saturday morning and all of these amenities were included for for the price of the the stay. The instructor was excellent. Apparently when its warm yoga is outside too! Would have loved that. The rooms were nice safe. I also loved that there were bathrooms in the main area of the building too so you didn't have to use the room's bathroom if you had to... go #2... honestly something every hotel needs. We took the e-bikes out to a gravel trail nearby which was super fun and EXCELLENT hiking trails were just a 15 minute drive. You don't need to leave the premises if you dont want to- they have everything you need and you feel very welcome the entire time.

It's very close to the mountain and a couple blocks from the main street in Windham with restaurants, coffee shops, and more. The rooms were updated and nicely decorate. We were hungry and with most of the restaurants closed or closing soon, Jacob offered to make us some chicken tenders. They were absolutely delicious and really hit the spot. You have a variety of choices for breakfast - warm muffins, croissants and chocolate croissants, fruit, oatmeal, cereals, granola and your choice of teas as well as coffee, cappuccino, and macchiatos from a machine I wish I had at home. Starbucks watch out...lol. The warm croissants are made each and every morning by Jacob. Our Mountain View room had a king size bed, which was so comfortable and oversized pillows that felt like clouds. Everything was so luxurious and very clean. Coming back to our room on Valentine's Day, we found a box of chocolates and a Rose left on our bed. What a pleasant surprise! You can tell that Jacob, his family and staff really love what they do. It's this small family feel that you will not find at any hotel chain. Downstairs there's a lounge area with board games, a foosball table and lots of places to sit, eat, read, talk and just relax. There's a separate building with a heated pool and a sauna right outside. We didn't get a chance to use this, but look forward to it the next time. You have access to the Windham Path right from the property as well. Lots of restaurants in town and our favorite breakfast place, Clutch and Throttle is a must go to. And make sure you visit the Gem Mercantile for your clothing needs or gifts to take back home. We are looking forward to another visit to Hotel Vienna in the future.

Our children enjoyed the "Waff-cakes" a hybrid waffle pancake with whipped cream and preserves. Rounding out our selection was the Savory Lion, scrambled eggs and cheese that was decadent. Combine the food with a welcoming couple who own and operate, along with a staff that is attentive and courteous, and you have a destination that should not be missed. There was also a few little…read moresurprises that were mostly because we didn't read the website description or dig thoroughly enough, so I will try to make this as helpful as possible! For reference, we stayed in one of the Lushna cabins that are best described as the size of a big teepee tent with one beautiful window wall. First surprise, I don't think were were fully expecting how small it was and that there is basically just a bed and then room for a bag or two. Yes, the bathrooms are detached and you have to go outside to get to them but they are a few feet away, private, and they keep them so incredibly warm that it was actually really nice in there. They are very spacious, have plenty of shelves and the shower is huge and luxurious. My bathroom at home honestly pales in comparison. There are two saunas on property but the one right outside of our cabin was not working, most likely because of how cold it was outside. It was a bummer, especially because we didn't want to trek to the other farther away one. We ate at Dandies, their on site restaurant, our first night and everything was incredible. Their staff was super friendly and lovely to chat with. We went back for the mulled wines more than once and stopped by in the AM for coffees before leaving for the day. It was great to have so close by. Our first morning we tried the breakfast basket and loved that it just appeared at our door. For $30 we got a Stanley thermos of coffee, hard boiled eggs, yogurt parfaits, OJ, and croissants. Nothing too crazy but I loved having a slow start to the day with breakfast in bed. Windham is filled with great places to eat, cute antique shops, a movie theater, bars, and is not far at all from other great towns. This wasn't a ski trip for us, but we never ran out of things to do. Yes, it was expensive and might not have fully felt like it was worth the price with all of the surprises, but we had an amazing time and we also got engaged over this weekend in this teeny tiny little teepee tent so my heart is full of love and 5 stars for everyone.

Misleading Listing - Hot Tub Legally Closed, Poor Conditions, and Pressured to Remove Review…read more I booked this stay in December mainly for the hot tub, but when we arrived, it was covered in snow and frozen, with a "Notice of Closure" sign SINCE OCTOBER. I learned it was actually shut down by New York State due to missing permits -- something never disclosed. At first, staff blamed the maintenance people and told us it was "safe to use" and would warm up in a few hours, once someone came to fix it. To accommodate us, they said that we can use the hot tub upstairs, and yes, other people were staying there. Another recent review mentions the same issues, so this isn't an isolated incident. And they've known that the hot tub was out of commission since October, so I'm not sure why they continue to advertise this place that it has a hot tub. On top of that, the experience getting in was frustrating: the place was extremely hard to find, the access code didn't work, and we had to rely on the building's Wi-Fi just to reach someone for a new code. Inside, the unit was not clean (dirty floors, dirt in the shower, no blankets), and the noise from upstairs was so loud we could hear every footstep, conversation, and personal relations. When I expressed how serious the hot tub issue was, amongst other things, they offered only 20% back on the condition that I remove my negative review, which is inappropriate, unethical, and illegal under consumer protection laws. Between the misleading listing, poor conditions, noise, and pressure to hide my honest experience, I cannot recommend staying here.

My husband and I stayed here in February for a weekend getaway to Windham Mountain. When we arrived I was informed that the deal I was promised over the phone, which included free lift tickets to the mountain, was not applicable because it was Presidents "Week." Was I told this over the phone while booking? No. So I was already upset before we even went up to our room. And the price was not adjusted even though we now had to shell out money for lift tickets! The room was large with a separate living room area. I was actually impressed. Until I noticed the thump thump thump of someones loud music. I assumed it was our neighbors and it would eventually stop. So we left our room to get some food and drinks. We came back at night to discover that the music had not stopped and our room was in fact located over the kitchen of the attached restaurant. It was like 12am or 1am and the staff was cleaning up and blasting music right below our room. My husband was nice enough to go down to the front desk and ask for another room. The staff was not very accommodating, they acted like they couldn't move us, although they finally did thanks to my husband's persistence. The whole process took 30 minutes, which is ridiculous. Our new room was luckily much quieter - and MUCH smaller. So small that the door basically opened up into the wardrobe that held the TV. Was the price adjusted?
