Serena was so lovely and got me water, ice, some Benadryl cream, and even offered to drive me to urgent care (which is quite far) if I needed to go. When traveling on your own, it's so lovely to know someone has your back if something goes wrong. I went on several lovely bike rides around the hotel, which was a highlight. There's also a little creek right across the street that I took my dog down to wade around and cool off. I didn't get to use the pool because I was working most days but all the kiddos at the hotel were loving it. About a mile from Phoenicia Diner, which never disappoints. Martin, one of the hotel owners, was so lovely and checked in on me a few times. The rooms are clean and well appointed. And finally, I made a SUPER silly mistake and didn't realize that I booked an extra night. They didn't have to refund me at all...it was my mistake...but they did and I'm so grateful. This is my second time here, and I will be back!

The bathroom has very nice toiletries with a rain spout shower, Turkish cotton towels and a heated floor. There were more than eight floor to ceiling shaded windows to view the waterfall and pretty vegetation. From 3pm to 7pm snacks and La Colombe coffee beverages of all types are available with chocolates, cookies, dried fruits or nuts and candies. Coffee and biscotti are available from 7:30am till 10am in the morning. The staff is composed of four lovely women whose names all begin with the letter A. There are also s'more kits supplied to be made in multiple fire-pits at your leisure by the creek. Recommendations from dining, shopping, hikes or some great live music are given by this great staff. If you are looking for a relaxing stay at extremely reasonable rates that are less than two hours from New York City The Woodstock Way Hotel is the perfect choice.

There is so much good to mention from our stay at East Wind in Windham. There was also a few little…read moresurprises that were mostly because we didn't read the website description or dig thoroughly enough, so I will try to make this as helpful as possible! For reference, we stayed in one of the Lushna cabins that are best described as the size of a big teepee tent with one beautiful window wall. First surprise, I don't think were were fully expecting how small it was and that there is basically just a bed and then room for a bag or two. Yes, the bathrooms are detached and you have to go outside to get to them but they are a few feet away, private, and they keep them so incredibly warm that it was actually really nice in there. They are very spacious, have plenty of shelves and the shower is huge and luxurious. My bathroom at home honestly pales in comparison. There are two saunas on property but the one right outside of our cabin was not working, most likely because of how cold it was outside. It was a bummer, especially because we didn't want to trek to the other farther away one. We ate at Dandies, their on site restaurant, our first night and everything was incredible. Their staff was super friendly and lovely to chat with. We went back for the mulled wines more than once and stopped by in the AM for coffees before leaving for the day. It was great to have so close by. Our first morning we tried the breakfast basket and loved that it just appeared at our door. For $30 we got a Stanley thermos of coffee, hard boiled eggs, yogurt parfaits, OJ, and croissants. Nothing too crazy but I loved having a slow start to the day with breakfast in bed. Windham is filled with great places to eat, cute antique shops, a movie theater, bars, and is not far at all from other great towns. This wasn't a ski trip for us, but we never ran out of things to do. Yes, it was expensive and might not have fully felt like it was worth the price with all of the surprises, but we had an amazing time and we also got engaged over this weekend in this teeny tiny little teepee tent so my heart is full of love and 5 stars for everyone.

It was clean, comfortable, unique, and a lot of fun, offering the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. What I loved most was that it felt like camping, but without sacrificing comfort. The Lushna Suite gave us that outdoorsy experience and connection to nature while still having a real bed. My back was extremely thankful that I was sleeping on a comfortable mattress instead of the ground. I was also a little concerned that being so immersed in the woods would mean dealing with bugs, but we had absolutely zero issues during our stay. The property itself is beautiful, with plenty of fun things to do on-site, but we spent most of our days exploring the surrounding area. We hiked, kayaked, and fished, then returned each evening to relax and enjoy the atmosphere at Eastwind. A special shoutout to the food. The BBQ was outstanding, honestly some of the best I've had in a very long time. It far exceeded expectations and ended up being one of the highlights of the trip. Specialty drinks were delicious too and my son said it was the best Shirley Temple he's ever had! The combination of unique accommodations, great food, a beautiful setting, and easy access to outdoor activities made this a truly memorable getaway. Most importantly, it gave me the opportunity to spend quality time with my son and create memories we'll both cherish for years to come. I would highly recommend Eastwind to anyone looking for a relaxing escape, an outdoor adventure, or simply a chance to reconnect with family while enjoying all the comforts of home. What is unexpectedly amazing about this hotel is the service. I have never experienced such warmness and understanding from any hotel staff. There was a snow storm on Sunday and my friends actually got into a car accident. Thankfully, nothing terrible happened and everyone was safe, but the whole experience had us shook. That was the day we were supposed to check-out. As you can imagine, we were all worried about driving back in these conditions, especially as the storm kept getting worse, rather than slowing down. The hotel staff offered to extend our stay, free of charge, so that we could wait out the storm. They even provided us with extra linens and towels so we could have a more comfy evening. I cannot say how thankful we all are. Our stay at the Kaatskill Mountain Club was amazing. Aside from the amazing staff, the hotel amenities themselves are pretty cool. We had a fun time at the hot tub and heated pool, and the complimentary breakfast is the perfect pick me up before a long ski day. If you're looking for a cozy weekend getaway, and an amazing hospitality, that's the place for you.

They have a concierge for your ski equipment, and a shuttle if needed (it wasn't needed this time, there was plenty of snow on the path to ski to the lifts). The room had a luxurious feel to it, spa-like. It was clean and well stocked. We had wifi keys which is a nice feature, and the elevators were efficient. Breakfast was included, and it was a "grab and go" assortment of oatmeal, pastries, apples and granola bars, along with hot beverages. I would have liked it if the hot beverages had been available after skiing as well, but there were coffee pots in the room with coffee, teas and actual mugs, along with creamers and sweeteners. We will surely be coming back to this great location!

The cabin we selected included a queen bed, a table for two, a small kitchenette, bathroom, and AC. The outdoor space was really the highlight, featuring hanging lights, a picnic table, a firepit with three bundles of wood, and a hammock. Check-in was done virtually, with a code texted to your phone. When we entered the cabin, we were greeted with a personal note, a box to store away phones, and a snack package that included a s'mores kit. The cabin itself was small but had all the essentials. They really encourage disconnecting from technology. There's no TV, and they provide a designated box to put your phones away so you can be more present in nature. That said, I was happy to see there is Wi-Fi available if you need it. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the firepit and relaxing in the hammock. It felt peaceful, cozy, and different from our usual getaways. This was a completely novel experience for us and one we would absolutely do again!

We honestly weren't sure what to expect, especially because we were bringing our 80 pound Doberman. We ran a bit behind so we arrived a little late but the campground was so serene and quiet and we were pleasantly surprised to see that the bed was definitely large enough to fit all 3 of us. The kitchen came fully stocked with all the supplies we needed to cook the food we packed, but having a grocery store only 6 minutes away was so helpful when we realized we forgot a few minor things. We had access to WiFi the whole time and never lost connection. My husband was surprised at how fast the WiFi was since we both had to take a few work calls during the day. You can definitely see your neighbors but they are somewhat far enough away that it won't be a bother, unless they have a loud dog. Overall, we had an amazing time and we were able to do some golfing at Island Green and get a hike in to see Kaaterskills falls. We'll definitely check out another Getaway location!

I remember finding this place online and being happy that I could save a few bucks, and still be close to Woodstock, and yet... they had this giganto-enormous bath tub that my wife and kid would love. The owners are nice, and I feel this is sort of a side gig for them. It feels kind of like a VRBO in that you don't need to see people at a reception desk every time you return to the Inn... you just park in the quiet parking lot out back, and do your thing. We had room # 3 on both visits, so that's really all I can speak to. The owners are responsive to emails, and kindly stock the mini-refrigerator with Poland Spring water. It has a kitchenette along with a little living area (including a sleeper sofa), and then a private bedroom along with the massive bathroom. I think my favorite part is the bathroom. Too bad you can't sleep in there. At least, that wouldn't be safe! We share the King bed, me, my wife, and daughter. It's not very comfortable, so I didn't sleep well. I requested a strong a/c, and I think we got that, though it's cold outside still, and the place isn't very energy efficient. There's actually a little balcony door along the side wall, and you can see the wind outside blowing the curtains sometimes. I don't think the place is thoroughly cleaned, but the kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom are definitely clean enough. We didn't feel uncomfortable. What's nice about this place though is the location. You're right in the heart of the village of Saugerties with the coolest shops and best restaurants around right here.
