These investors have no business opening more locations. I believe it is a husband and wife that own the place, but I cannot in good conscience call them owners because they obviously don't monitor this location or take any pride in it. This is a rural area without many options, so I've had the misfortune of going here twice this summer. As the weather was nice we sat on the patio both times and each time we had to sweep ants off all the chairs before sitting down. These same ants are then crawling on your feet and legs and biting; today was worse because there were small beetles crawling on the table and dropping from the umbrellas into our drinks. (Gentle suggestion: if you aren't going to remedy the insects yourself, call Orkin or Terminix.) Wednesday in Wisconsin means wings, and we arrived at about 5:15 pm and I tried to order the wing basket and was told they didn't have any wings because the person in charge forgot to order them (other tables arriving after us were told this too). Ooooookay. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich instead, and my Mom & husband shared a pizza. The sandwich and fries in my basket were cool (not hot) and the mystery meat in the sandwich was extremely bland and dry. The pizza had the same problem as it did last time we visited. The crust isn't the same as in years past; we guess it's because now that the investors don't care the cooks aren't letting the crust proof and rise anywhere near as long as crust needs to before being baked. And last, you have the drinks. As a true Sconnie lady, I ordered a brandy old fashioned sweet with Korbels. It came out clear like soda water; no hint of maraschino cherry juice and if there was even any brandy in the glass it was probably cheap Christian Brothers brandy for all the color or flavor the cocktail didn't have. The gentleman at the table next to us ordered a gin and tonic and after tasting it he called it a tonic and water. So clearly while the investors aren't watching, the alcohol and extra money people are paying for higher quality brands is going somewhere other than the customers' drinks. read more

We visited Caddy Shack Saturday evening around 6pm on Labor Day weekend. Fortunately, the weather was great, so that allowed us to sit on the patio. We had a group of 8 - four adults and four kids. The tables and seating were worn, but it worked for us. The waitress seemed attentive when we arrived, and even took our initial drink and appetizer order just a few minutes after being seated, so we were off to a good start. Unfortunately, things changed quickly. The appetizers we ordered came out one at a time, which is always awkward, especially with hungry kids. The last appetizer (of 3) came out a full 15 minutes after the first one. On to our food order (and by this time, drinks are empty). Anyway, we placed our food order at 5:45, but the food didn't arrive until 6:30. These were sandwiches, wraps, and chicken tenders - certainly nothing that should have taken 45 minutes. Unfortunately, same story on the food order - 1 plate didn't arrive until 6:45, so many were done eating by the time that one came out. All-in-all, the general consensus at the table was "cold fries", "dried out beef" in the french dip sandwich, and zero accouterments with any of the plates (no au jus with the french dip, no dipping sauce with the chicken tenders, no salsa or sour cream with the mexican wrap, etc.) And, did I mention the empty drinks? After the appetizers were dropped off and our food order was taken, we basically never saw the waitress again. Ultimately, we probably won't visit Caddy Shack again. If you're looking for a pizza and some domestic beer, Caddy Shack may be fine, but if you're looking for a burger (they don't have burgers), decent service, and a beer with some flavor (aka IPA), then Caddy Shack isn't for you. Go down the road to Gilligans - they always have decent food and service. read more

This pizza definitely did not live up to the reviews. They were out of the hand tossed so we went with the thin crust. It was burnt in spots and soggy. Thin crust should be crispy, we could not even pick up the pieces without a spatula. The toppings were ok, however, I ordered onions and green olives on half - I got onions and green peppers. It was okay, just a regular old bar and grill, nothing fancy or anything. The food is typical bar food, but is okay for bar food. I had a brat patty and fries, the brat patty was burned, but I actually like them that way, I'm sure a lot of people don't, though... My husband had the pizza and that looked pretty good, lots of cheese. Our waitress was very nice and I really liked her- very attentive, and we never had to wait for a pitcher of beer, which is pretty great. I think if I were a local it might be a fun little bar to hang out at, but it felt a bit awkward to be there as an out of towner. If you come here, call ahead with your order (apparently locals do this). We waited 35 minutes to be served our drinks and 1 hour 10 minutes for our food. The table next to us waited 1 hour 15 minutes for their food. When we were seated, we weren't given any indication that there would be such a long wait for the food. If the food was amazing and the service was terrific- it would've been worth the wait. Regretfully, it was not worth it. The only thing memorable was the horrible wait time and our receipt not being correct after all that time. We eat out weekly around here and we won't make the mistake of giving this place a second chance. read more

Ordered the Thursday special buy 1 pizza get second half off, so we ordered two pizzas. 20 minutes later pizza came. One of the pizzas was missing a chunk out of it and had black specs on it. The server said it got stuck in the pizza oven and was only going to charge me half price for it. So i figured i got another half off the pizza. NOPE, they charged me the normal Thursday price. Couldn't eat it, had a funny taste to it, like it was dropped in a pizza oven!!!! And to top that off, they brought out a USED (had grease spots and crumbs in) pizza box for the other pizza to take home. I did get the server to take the dropped pizza off the bill. They should have never brought that pizza out and just made a new. Being up in the area the other day with my sis to discuss some business with a friend, we came here for lunch. Sis had earlier expressed that she wanted to buy lunch for she and I and since she likes pizza and had never been up here before, I recommended we come to this place. We ordered a large *deluxe* (same as what I had my first time). It was fantastic. While sis said she'd like to see more cheese out to the edge of the pie, she was really enjoying her lunch There was about 1/3 left when we'd had enough to eat and so we had Carol bag it for us to bring back home for her family. It was after we'd eaten our fill of pizza that we discovered that they now serve 1919 Rootbeer on draught. Being lovers of this nectar-like soft drink, I asked for a mug for us to share. I would give this 0 stars if I could-the service was the worst I've ever experienced! We ordered 3 pizzas & it took over 2 hrs to get it (it took 45 minutes just to place our order, and we were able to do that because we went and found a waitress)! I think the only reason this place is still surviving is because it's in the middle of nowhere & the locals probably have no other choices. Terrible. Waited over an hour for 2 pizzas. The crust on the pizzas we received were ultra thin, which wouldn't be a problem if they were cooked in a super hot brick oven that would crisp it beneath the pie. Sadly, what we got was a greasy pile of melted cheese on a soggy, flavorless cracker. Making it worse, the pies were cut in puzzlingly small pieces, some only an inch square, without exaggeration. No discernible crust was found anywhere but the edge of the pie. 1 inch beyond the edge was a molten soup of cheesy slop, impossible to hold. Pickle fries and cheese curds were solid. Maybe the other food is too. Idk. If you're looking for actual pizza, go back to Chicago. Avoid. read more

The customer service is wonderful. The gentleman who was our server was the bartender as well . My husband and I each ordered a cheese burger while my son ordered the kids mac n cheese. The hamburgers were dry and not seasoned very well. I asked for fried onions on my burger and they looked like someone threw them on the pan to cook and quickly removed them, they were still quite raw. French fries came with our order and they were quite undercooked and very soggy. The fries did have good taste to them, I believe if the fries were cooked correctly they would be delicious My son had the mac n cheese with a bread stick. He received a bowl of easy mac and the smallest bread stick I have ever seen. I have noticed a lot of resturaunts use easy mac in kids meals which to me I find lazy and unprofessional for a resturaunt. I did inform our server of the poor quality of food and he was kind enough to remove one of the burgers from our bill. That is once again I need to give a shout out to our server I wish I remembered his name so I could let everyone know. I have heard they have excellent pizza so maybe we should of stuck with what they are known for :) the place had a relaxed bar and a few diner tables for customers. My husband and I go to Caddy Shack to eat whenever we're in the area or whenever we have a hankerin' for the best pizza south of Highway 8. The atmosphere may be hectic, but that's because the local folks like the friendliness of the bar and the tasty food. Sometimes the wait is long, but that's because so many orders have been placed ahead of us. We have found all the staff to be very friendly. When we were there last, a band was playing on the deck so we sat out there and thoroughly enjoyed a lovely Saturday afternoon. We haven't had anything but pizza and beer there - but that's all we want when dining at Caddy Shack! read more

We somewhat accidentally ended up here yesterday in search of something different to see/do. I remembered seeing Caddy Shack at a recent trip to the nearby golf course. It had looked intriguing at the time, so we decided to stop by for a beer and check out the food options. We ended up having the BEST time we've had at a venue of this type in years! They had a band (The Gators) playing on their adorable tiki hut designed patio. The band was great, and it was such a friendly crowd in attendance! Everyone was having a great time. The place was packed. We saw a pizza go by our table and decided, very trepidatiously, to order it. Pizza in these Northwood parts is generally awful compared to back in the cities. The pizza....oh my gosh...the pizza....I won't say any more. I would just be gushing. Suffice it to say, when we return, we'll have the pizza again and again and again.
