I don't know if it is the owner, manager or cook but the man that cooks the food is so miserable! (The cooking is done behind the bar - hide him in the back) It's hard to have a good time when the man behind the bar looks like he just wants you to shut up and leave immediately. The bartenders are always so nice - but even they look terrified of him. Odd place for sure! The food is ok, not bad but not great. Patio looks very nice, but we have never been there when it's open. Unfortunately, I think we have given up on this one.

Totem Pole Inn definitely fit the bill. About 2:30 on a Saturday afternoon and the place was surprisingly full with a semi-older crowd all being loud and boisterous having a good time. It appeared to be a husband and wife team running the show with the Mrs. on the bar and getting the tables with the husband hitting the flattop grill right next to the bar. The menu is sparse but has enough choices of about seven or eight appetizers like beer batter pickles, fried mushrooms, mozzarella sticks, and the like. They didn't have the pickles I wanted, so I went with six BBQ wings which came with ranch. My friend had the mozzarella sticks and a cup of lobster bisque. My wings were excellent with breading and well crisped in the fryer. The mozzarella sticks were fine and the lobster bisque also was just ok but not bad. My friend also got a Makers Mark on the rocks which hit the spot. The facility appears to have been just recently renovated and was very clean. Service was attentive and friendly. I'm sure this is a place where locals love to come. The entrees seems to be burgers and people liked them that I could tell. $26 not including tip for an appetizer, cup of bisque, drink, and entree of six wings. You'll like the Totem Pole Inn! Oh, they also have a single pool table, digital juke box, and some electronic gaming machines.

Dim lighting, big comfortable leather chairs, bookshelves lining the walls, a fully stocked bar, and historic photos throughout the space create a classic lodge vibe that feels timeless without being stuffy. It is cozy, polished, and incredibly relaxing. The staff is knowledgeable and clearly takes pride in what they serve. The craft cocktails are well made and thoughtful, and if you prefer beer, there are solid options there too. As a bourbon lover, I especially enjoyed their private barrel pick served neat, a real treat and easily a standout pour. This is a perfect pre-dinner or post-evening stop, we have done both, and it works beautifully either way. Dress is slightly casual but leans upscale, and while pricing is a bit higher than average, it feels completely worth it for the setting, quality, and experience. We sank into the chairs, talked story with friends, and lost track of time, which really says it all. If you are anywhere near Skytop Lodge, make sure this is on your list. Plan extra time, you will want to linger.

Wow they were juicy and tender and just the right amount of smoke, No regrets here!! I had a few cold beverages and finished up my ribs. Couldn't fit in my mouth. I ordered rare and it came rare BUT without drippy blood. It was cooked absolutely perfect for my palate. Super delicious, excellent excellent service - friendly and attentive. The waitress told us the meat is freshly prepared from the restaurant and I can really attest to that! I am a real burger aficionado having traveled all around the country sampling great eats and the Outposts nails it 100%. There was live music here on the Friday night with a loaded and lively crowd, we bumped into this place coming back from an ATV ride. This being on the main drag on Rt. 97 but for us in the absolute middle of nowhere. Other than going rafting or a drive up Hawks Nest this is NOW our monthly destination to get to die for burgers.

The food was absolutely outstanding. The avocado toast with salmon was immaculately executed and, quite frankly, a huge portion that really impressed us. One of my friends ordered the Greek omelette and confirmed it was just as tasty. We also ordered the Caesar salad, chicken wings, and mozzarella sticks for my kids back at our summer home--they absolutely loved the takeout. The service was rapid, friendly, and exceptionally attentive; both the older lady at the bar and our younger waitress made us feel so welcome. It's a great atmosphere, too--they have a lovely patio in the back complete with a beach volleyball court, a ping pong table, and a dedicated party venue. I'll definitely be back to finally try one of their giant Bloody Marys (it was just a little too early in the morning for me this time!). Highly recommend checking this place out!

The taproom inside feels cozy, and the two young women working were super sweet about getting us samples and drinks. Get the Endless Summer! It's a light, refreshing beer with the perfect hints of cucumber and watermelon and it is absolute heaven on a hot day. The lime lager was also excellent. We took our drinks and went out to the patio area under the tent where they were doing the pizza vending. There was a nice vibe in the air: a mix of folks and ages, but everyone just chilling and having a fun time. Bugs weren't too bad! The outdoor pizza set up is John's of Arthur Ave, which we have always had as to-go, but wow, they are bringing their A-game here with the outdoor ovens! The pizzas are INSANELY GOOD! Like, Razza-style impressive. We were seriously blown away because it's nothing like what we've had in the past from there. We ordered their white pie with ricotta and the "Bronx Bomber." DAMN. Perfect char and chew on the dough, and while we know that the ricotta on the first pie wasn't homemade, it practically tasted it. The BB pizza was outrageously delicious as well: loved the meat and banana peppers with the hot honey, which we're normally not a fan of, but it was perfect here. Cannot say enough good things about the pizza! Overall, a wonderful visit despite a heated conversation about world events at our table! Four very happy stars and we hope to have just as good of a visit next time, which will hopefully be soon.
