We love to come here Friday evenings when we arrive at the lake. They serve until 10pm & the bar is open until 11. The food is fresh and yummy! The servers are friendly and down to earth. Just went back after a long break from the area and this gem remains one of our favorites at Lake Wallenpaupack. Sometimes the food takes a little bit long but they make it all from scratch and even have signs to make sure you know might have to wait a little, but it's definitely all made with care and I don't think I've ever had a dinner here that I didn't love. Worth the wait and the price. Super nice staff also. 10/10! read more

The food, service and ambiance are all excellent. We enjoy their cheese steak "with" all the extras, the grilled salmon sandwich and the highlight for me are the Ruben egg rolls which are unique and extraordinary. While inside seating is relatively limited, it does not at all feel crowded. Additionally there is an outside covered patio with several tables. Enlarged framed historical photos adorn the interior and add local interest. The servers are very caring and service is fairly prompt even at primetime. The selection of beers on tap is somewhat more limited than many similar venues but thoughtfully chosen spanning a nice range of styles. Paupack Watering Hole has become one of our favorites, so much so that we were there twice last week! read more

The waitress was friendly. There is a sign on the table that says were a small place, small kitchen, the food takes time. It took 30-40 minutes for our food to come out. My aunt had French onion soup and a salad. I had a gyro lamb pita and a small side salad, which were good. They were out of sweet potatoe fries. I asked about regular fries and was told they come in a bag, frozen. No thanks. We asked about dessert, unfortunately they were out of ice cream. read more

Such a wonderful warm and welcoming place to stop while visiting Lake Wallenpaupack! Our pup was allowed on the porch and staff were all so friendly with her, waitress brought water for her right away! My husband had a beer from their wide variety of local beers, I had a wine from a local winery! We ordered wings with their house " Hole" sauce which was a combomix, wings were good size not over cook and really good!!! We ate them all! I ordered cheesesteak which was probably the best I have had in a long, long time!! And let me tell you I've been searching! Also had the best sweet potato fries I've ever had! Truthfully! Husband had the cheeseburger which was really good , done perfectly and curly fries he said were great too.! We would definitely stop there again!!! Very good. My wife and I both ordered this lunch special (which we rarely do) and loved it. A pulled chicken sandwich with a hot sweet garlic sauce and slaw on a brioche bun... oh and fries. My husband and I ended up coming here after realizing most places would be closed by dinner time. The vibe is awesome, the food is great, and our server Sabrina was lovely. The food was amazing!! I ordered the chicken bacon ranch wrap and my fiance got the cheesesteak, both perfectly cooked. It was my first time eating here and the service was perfect, very positive waitresses and family friendly! I came with my 4 month old son for Mother's Day and they were all so welcoming of him. staff sucks, bugs in drinks, filthy tables!! boycott if you are a local bc this place openly refuses to allow locals to order takeout when they are not even busy on a wednesday night but choose to prioritize tourists over year round residents. this is our 5th attempt to order in the past 8 months and our business was outright refused! locals keep your doors open and i have already filed a formal complaint with the bbb. i hope you are fined and shutdown. you were a dive hole in the wall bar just a few years ago and dont deserve any business from the people who kept your filthy doors open over the years! we know many prominent locals and i will do everything i can to ensure you lose as much business as possible bc your staff is rude and disgraceful with zero care for the people who matter. i will not stop until everyone knows the truth and your dirty bar runs dry. whatever legal action i can take will be pursued. go to the brewery, the lager haus, renos, anywhere but this ungrateful scum hole. the food and service is far better elsewhere. i will start a local campaign to expose this shit hole and hopefully get it shutdown. we gave them so many chances after rotten food, bugs in drinks, dirty tables, rude unprofessional workers and stale beer! but this was the last straw. read more

Im local and with the much better options around I've only dropped in twice, tonight will def be my last time. Food was very mediocre. Wings (garlic and hot mixed) which should be a bar staple, were almost tasteless as well as undercooked. Cheese curds were good but its pretty hard to mess up fried cheese. The rueben rolls and chicken fingers were average. Service itself was almost non existent. I won a gift certificate in a tricky tray a while back that I've tried to use for take our but they keep refusing because theyre "too busy". New bar to the area that replaced the Pines Tavern. Cute decor. Great wine pours. Nice selection of beers and taps. They kept the Jell-O shots that Pines used to have. Small lunch menu reasonable and everything sounded good. Didn't try the food but liked the atmosphere. read more

They even admit it and have a letter on the table admitting it and basically saying you need to be patient with us. Well, over an hour later and half our food's not here. My family and I had a great experience here during our weekend in the Poconos. We decided to get takeout from here after our hike since we also had our dog with us but saw they had a patio once we reached so we asked if it was possible to sit outside with our dog. The waitress said we could definitely sit outside but the only catch is that if we sit on the patio we could only order food from a select patio menu. Most of us were fine with that but we had a vegetarian in our group and there were no veg options on the patio menu but the waitress was more than accommodating and let them order whatever veggie options they wanted from the full menu. The waitress was also very sweet and brought a basket of veggies for our dog while we were eating. I got the chicken parm hoagie with a side of sweet potato fries. The portions were huge and delicious! The sweet potato fries were also one of the best I've ever had!
