Michelle was really fabulous all around. She works in the NICU AND does newborn photography as a side gig but she does not treat it like a side gig. She gives her utmost attention to her craft. She's quick to respond. She values her time and the quality & care she can put into your session/photos so she is very clear when she is at (or getting close to reaching) capacity with her client load. Since she works with newborns in the hospital, we trusted Michelle with our newborn baby boy as she maneuvered him into balls and buckets for the cutest pics we've ever seen. She was able to soothe him to quiet down and relax for nearly 5 hours worth of photos in our apartment. He even smiled in so many of them. We had an epic, long, great session with our babe and Michelle... because we listened to all the advice she gave us prior to coming (ie: get the room nice and warm to be conducive for sleeping, feed him 2x right before she arrived, have a pacifier on hand, etc). We even learned a new way to calm him to sleep by rubbing his forehead & between his eyes ;-) We also ended up upgrading our session to a pricier package after we received our first round of photos so that we could get more final edited photos since it was so hard to pick. The only thing I wish is that I could trade some of the package options (printed pics / printed tri-fold) for more digital images instead. However, Michelle was clear from the get-go that the options were not able to be customized like that before booking. Overall, wonderful experience and I'm sure we'll be using her again! read more

We hired Michelle to photograph our 1 year old smash cake session after searching online for a great photographer at a reasonable price. After doing research, Michelle was definitely the best and I'm glad we chose her. She diligently answered my questions, providing suggestions via email. Michelle comes to your house, which is really a big deal when you have a newborn baby, especially after having a c-section. She is amazing with babies, and her work is incredible. It was wonderful to work with Michelle and we had a really positive experience. Even when I was deciding between photographers, she was super responsive in answering my questions by email. It was great that she came over to our house with all the props, back drops and outfits. Many other photographers I contacted required us to go over to their studio and I was not comfortable bringing my 2 week old newborn around town. Michelle is super organized and emailed me complete directions and on what to expect a couple of weeks before our scheduled session. The whole session took around 4-5 hours. She was professional and really worked well with our baby. Being a NICU fellow and in addition to her experience, she really knows how to sooth babies. Michelle was on top of my list for a newborn session and I was estatic to find that she still has an availability despite my last minute inquiry (I was not aware that photographers get booked as early as 9 months in advance). 3 things on why I booked her: 1. I like her photography style compare to others I found in the area 2. Her packages may look expensive at first glance, but if you compare what's included she's pretty competitive especially when she's also a pediatrician. 3. She will come to our place instead of us coming to her studio and giving us atleast 4 hours of her time - no rush, no anxiety to get the shoot done in a definite time. Fast forward to the day of the shoot, Michelle was very patient with Liam even though he was crying for more than an hour. Knowing she has probably dealt with this numerous times with other babies, we weren't too worried about it. After the crying and the pooping, Liam finally cooperated (fell asleep, stopped being fussy) and we got to see the real magic of how intricate the wraps and poses that Michelle has to do to get the most amazing pictures for us parents to reminisce in the future. She's also a perfectionist, not only of the style and composition but also of the best angle to hide our post-pregnancy weight. I highly recommend Michelle! She's very worth it and you definitely won't regret it. We are so in love with our photos and I'm sure you will be with yours too! Having Michelle take our daughters photos was such a great decision! For starters she responded to my email so promptly and was so helpful with providing the information regarding her services. Then she was quickly available with dates for our shoot, when we told her my daughter was born and ready for her big photo debut. We hired Michelle to do our newborn photoshoot. From the very beginning she was extremely professional. She responded to my inquiry quickly and answered all of my questions. What we really liked is that she comes to your home and sets up a mini studio.
