My experience with MemberSolution has been extremely disappointing. About 15 days ago, I contacted them to get a required document, and it took 3 days just to receive it. I took the document to my doctor, had it completed, and submitted it on 7/15. Seven days later, I received an email saying it was rejected due to a missing signature. I signed it and resubmitted it the same day. Since then (for 3 days now), I have been unable to reach them by phone or email. I have called several times, emailed, and submitted an online inquiry cancellation. I can confirm that they argue with you and don't care if they have unsatisfied customers, even long term customers aren't valued. Do not use this company! We really need a 0 Star Rating selection: A year ago I had canceled my Auto Payment (I was still in a 6 month contract with my gym and needed to "NOT GET PLACED on Autopay once my 6 months was over). If I knew that my taekwondo membership was going to be attached to this billing service, I would've never signed up for classes. First of all, I made a contract with the taekwondo company, NOT them. Secondly, when I explain to them why I wasn't able to continue my classes, they responded to me with a condescending tone and told me that even if I talked to my teacher and the director of the taekwondo, they won't cancel my membership. I just had a terrible experience with Member Solutions. I didn't have enough money in my account to cover a payment from a school I attend. I called them 3 times before I could stay on the phone long enough to get through the wait. I was charged a $10 late fee, ( I didn't know my school charged a late fee, plus I called as soon as I realized the payment didn't clear.) by MS not the school I attend, I was also charged $25 return item fee on an electronic transaction. I contacted my school and informed them I don't want MS having access to any of my banking info in the future. and I refuse to use them to pay my monthly bill. The gym I'm using was closed for some time due to COVID, then opened up only partially via video (still being charged nonetheless) and now the participant I pay for has a medical condition and is high risk, but guess what member solutions said when I complained, "sorry you still have to pay, lifetime contract that renews automatically". My martial arts studio uses this company for billing and I have had non stop issues with the company. I changed my payment method and they charge the previous payment method on file instead. I switched to manual payments and am constantly charged a late fee for payments made on time. I have to inquire about this and send screen shots of my payment history from their website. I tried to cancel my account or membership, after attempting many times to get into my account to cancel the service because of a change in financial situation. I called today and was told that I COULDN'T TERMINATE! They said that the my account auto-renewed on 10/9/2021 and now I am stuck for another year in this nightmare! In order to cancel we must have moved 50 miles from the nearest gym or have a medical issue! I find it very suspicious that I couldn't get into my account at all but then it wouldn't have done me any good because it seems you have to call them. If I want to terminate, I have to pay $646.40, and then she had the brass to say, that it would take a while before it cancelled. What? That's more than I paid for the 6 months when I signed up! I truly don't like leaving bad reviews but what an absolute nightmare it was to try and cancel a contract through this company. My boyfriend needed to cancel his MMA gym membership because he was diagnosed with seizures and it was ordered by the doctor that he cannot keep participating. We had the proper paperwork filled out and they denied it twice and were very rude on the phone. They claimed it had to be filled out by an M.D even though on their form it says "filled out by a PHYSICIAN" it did not specify which kind. Nurse practitioners and P.A are within their legal right to fill out and sign this type of paperwork. When we explained that he is also not supposed to drive due to the seizures they weren't sympathetic to the fact that he had to rely on other people to get him to the doctor to have this paperwork filled out. He ended up paying an extra month simply because he had to wait on one of us to be available to take him to the doctor again. read more

They have people who don't even know state laws in which they operate working the call center. If you ask to speak to a manager, you are lucky if you get a call within 48 hours. Here is my experience with this company: 1) Expect a long wait when you call - it was difficult to reach someone. 2) Expect an argument from them - there was pushback to my request to end the billing. So here is my strong suggestion if you contact them: When you call them don't take "no" for an answer. Stand your ground and tell them to stop billing you immediately. Also, Email them with your account number and tell them to stop billing you. Call your credit card company and inform them that this business is not abiding with your simple request and to reject any future billing draws. At the time of his review I have that have informed me that they will no longer make draws from my account. They told me I would get electronic confirmation in five days... But I never did. I've had to call back four times! I'll update this review once I receive confirmation. I do need to say that I absolutely understand this business model and I understand that they don't want you to end automatic draws. That's how they get paid. It took over a month and several phone calls for them to even send me the necessary forms to cancel my contract (which I never signed with them by the way, but that's another story). Then they've given me the run-around and refused to cancel my contract despite me sending them everything required to do so. I had little bit of a struggle canceling my membership, however after calling a second time a customer representative named Annette was able to resolve my troubles. My account was charged twice by accident and after calling in the first time I was given a run around. When I called in the second time Annette took the time to listen to my problem and had it resolved within the same business. I got a full refund on the amount that was charged and was told that she would be 100% responsible if it hadn't gone through. I see a trend in the reviews here. It seems like a lot of gyms use this company, probably because a lot of gym owners have no idea how to actually run a business. I, like many other reviewers, tried to cancel my membership. The only thing they would let me do is put in a Do Not Draft order to get them to stop withdrawing money, but I still technically owe them. This has got to be the WORST billing system our company has ever used. We switched to Member Solutions with high hopes but it turned out to be a huuuuge let down. For one, their customer service sucks! We were promised one point of contact. Instead, they had us going from person to person before we could actually ask a question only to give us the runaround. We had a lot of unanswered emails and when they did reply, they took forever to get back to us. As a billing service, also give it one-star. We had A LOT of people not billed on time, people getting overcharged, and even people who weren't getting charged so we had to settle payment issues with our members ourselves. We had a lot of unhappy members as a result. Also, there's practically two services: Member Solutions and My Volo. They do not operate together so we had to constantly go back and forth. As a result, there were a lot of inconsistencies in billing, reports, payments etc. They're basically two different companies, each with the same horrible service. Finally, we decided we would no longer do business with Members Solutions/My Volo and switched to a different company. It's so much easier has good customer service. However, even though we are through with Member Solutions/My Volo, they keep billing us! So they're still giving us trouble even after we got rid of them. I have been using Member Solutions as our billing company for about 12 years, and have been very happy with their service. At the core, this is a company that handles electronic billing for monthly tuition payments. If there is ever a problem, such as a declined charge or expired credit card, they contact the customer and resolve the problem. It frees me from having to spend time on billing, and allows me to focus on what I want to do most, which is to teach martial arts and run our school. Are they perfect all the time? Of course not. Nobody is. But every time I've had an issue and spoken with our rep, it has been resolved to our satisfaction. There are many other billing companies out there and I get offers to switch, but I've no reason to switch.
