I have been under his treatment for a chronic medical condition, for several years, and he has, always been meticulously in my treatment, and has, always, been patient and attentive in discussing my concerns. Without fail, during each visit, he would thoroughly explain my blood test results and take the time to talk to me about the progress of my disease. There is no possibility that Dr. Alfredo Sardinas Jr. would ever conduct himself in the manner that Alayna A. had suggested in her review. Neither would his assistant conduct herself in the manner suggested by Alayna A.. Both Dr. Sardinas Jr. and his assistant, Shira, have always responded promptly to my requests and concerns. It is disturbing that someone would try to tarnish their character, reputations and good works.

They rushed me through my entire physical even though some of that was good feedback. What break…read morethe camel's back was that after I received my Physical reports through her assistant (Doctor does not have time to be concerned with your reports), I suggested to her assistant that I have a quick question for the doctor. Lue or Liu her assistant suggested that I should relay the question to her which she will relay to the doctor then the doctor relays the response to her which she will convey to me. This just feels so inefficient. I have no clue who this assistant is and why should i be forced to talk to her when I have a question for the doctor. When I insisted on this she said just make an appointment to come speak to the doctor. I would have been open to doing this but the fact that I do not have access to my doctor who is happy to charge the physical money to my insurance but does not want to call back her patients about the report or field any question related to that is absolutely unprofessional. Also the patient portal information has not been received after a week. Asking any one about that and they say front office deals with that, front office forgets to tell you about that.

Dr. Kovacs changed my life. I had stomach problems all my life and it got to the point where it was affecting my education because i was missing so much school. My two previous doctors refused to test me for anything and blamed my stomach problems on nerves, even though I was doing well in school despite being absent so frequently. I finally switched doctors to Dr. Kovacs and, for the first time, i felt listened to. She tested me for multiple things and gave me confidence that we would find the source of my health problems. Turns out I have celiacs, an autoimmune disease where my body attacks itself when I ingest gluten. I had absorbed that i was just an "anxious person" and i would have carried that definition of myself as truth if not for her. With a relatively minor dietary change, i was able to get my normal life back and finish school. I am still angry at the incompetence of my previous doctors, but also forever grateful for having Dr.Kovacs. I still recommend her whenever one of my Houston friends is looking for a primary care physician. Thank you, Dr. Kovacs!

I've had to leave numerous VMs and ONLY after leaving a rude message, does he ever call me back. I especially like that during her visit with you, she really takes the time to listen. It doesn't feel like she's just wanting to get you in and out to move onto the next.
