It's a club like setting with loud popular music and songs you can sing along to.. You have to know how to swim, it's not a life vest it's a foam waist belt that you fasten around your waist. Wear a hat, optional to wear a rash guard or water sun shade long sleeves if you don't want t to get a tan and wear a one suit as some exercises can loosen oversized or stretched out swimwear. Diego who taught the class made my first experience very memorable. My body was sore post 3 days after the class.

Not only was class very productive but it was fun as well! I am a beginner swimmer and I truly appreciate this center for providing the community with the opportunity to develop lifelong skills. The surrounding area had plenty of parking, shops, and food around as it's located in the heart of city heights. I felt safe during my lesson and the facility itself was clean. Stark pockets everywhere. Small floor. Turf the size of a welcome mat. Four benches for the entire building. You will wait. You will get asked about your bench or someone might casually try to move in on your space. The plates themselves aren't the problem. GP free weights feel heavy and real. Everything around them feels like it hasn't been cleaned since the ribbon cutting. No paper towels in the locker room. No soap in the showers. Dudes literally using the hand soap dispensers to get soap to take into the showers. Water pressure from the last decade. Toilet stalls full all morning like it's a bus station. People stare with no sport and no shame. After I rinsed, my slippers were decorated with pubic hair that did not clock in with me (see photo). No housekeepers anywhere in sight. Juice bar. Blow dryers. None of that makes a gym. Thanks to the Leads for their professionalism getting me in with ease but the comfort ends with the greeting. I hated being there so I trained hard and then couldn't wait to get out. Trial day one was the whole experiment. Dirty like EoS, smaller, darker, and proud of it. Do not recommend. I will not be back.

The rooftop pool is connected to the hotel next door so there are always new people to talk to who are usually so sweet and excited to explore San Diego. I especially like the amount of machines they have and how clean the gym, locker area, and rooftop are kept. Shoutout to the maintenance staff for all they do! The food available is also pretty good and fresh every time! When I have visitors from out of town I bring them here and they're always impressed. When we first came in for a tour we were impressed with the details and service as well. They offer day passes so I would recommend trying them out.
