Not only was class very productive but it was fun as well! I am a beginner swimmer and I truly appreciate this center for providing the community with the opportunity to develop lifelong skills. The surrounding area had plenty of parking, shops, and food around as it's located in the heart of city heights. I felt safe during my lesson and the facility itself was clean. Service is really outstanding. During our meal, we met several waiters and bartenders, all of whom were helpful and attentive. I'd be happy working there too as it it's such a fun ambiance. The drinks and food that we got were really good. Get the Wet sand cocktail - you'll be happy you did. They also have bottle archive available. It's a small menu food but with some really great options. Our fish tacos were really good - with lots of fresh guacamole on top. The açaí bowl was fresh with plenty of fresh fruit.

It doesn't end there, if you're there around lunch time, you can get yourself a delicious smoothie, power bowl or a margarita while soaking in the sun, sitting under a cabana or a beach chair. Literally does not get any better. Everytime I hit the gym feels like vacation. I love their classes, access to the plunge pools and all their amenities like eucalyptus cool towels. Members are always wiping down their equipment before and after use and the employees are periodically cleaning all around. The locker rooms & restrooms are spacious with many spots available so that there is no stalling between guests. The amenities are wonderful - sauna, steam, tanning, gym equipment, kids club - EVERYTHING!! Do a 7 day trial and I promise you will be anting to sign up on day 3!

It was the primary reason I joined. Unfortunately, the circuit has never functioned as described. Staff doesn't enforce the intended rotation, and members routinely treat the machines like standard equipment -- sitting between sets, often on their phones, with no regard for others trying to move through. When I asked to work in during rest periods, I was met with outright rudeness. Even when staff stepped in to explain the circuit guidelines, members pushed back. A gym is only as good as the culture it cultivates. Enforcing the features you sell -- and holding members to basic courtesy standards -- should be non-negotiable. This gap between what was promised and what I experienced is why I cancelled my membership. I was also sold a personal training package by their independent in-house fitness training company and it was also not as presented--the trainer didn't listen to me, cut my session short, and never gave me the exercise plan as promised. I'm still fighting to get my $379 back for this.

We also had the opportunity to meet Chloe, Danny, and Ramon, who were all incredibly kind, professional, and dedicated. Their hard work truly shows, and they do a fantastic job keeping the facilities looking their best. The only issue we noticed was that the men's locker room was not as clean as the women's locker room or the pool area. It also seemed like there were very few employees assigned to that area, which makes it difficult to maintain the luxury standard the hotel aims to provide. Even so, the staff members we saw were working very hard and were clearly doing their best. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely return without thinking twice. The rooftop pool is connected to the hotel next door so there are always new people to talk to who are usually so sweet and excited to explore San Diego. I especially like the amount of machines they have and how clean the gym, locker area, and rooftop are kept. Shoutout to the maintenance staff for all they do! The food available is also pretty good and fresh every time! When I have visitors from out of town I bring them here and they're always impressed. When we first came in for a tour we were impressed with the details and service as well. They offer day passes so I would recommend trying them out.

People here are accommodating and know the rules and work with you on sharing lanes if it gets crowded. But the pool here is one of the best I have been to in all the YMCA's I have swam at. It would be my regular go to swim place if I lived in the area. Parking can be a challenge but you can always find a spot.

Today I showed up for a water exercise class only to be told it's canceled. No notifications to me beforehand, no emails, and the online pool schedule still shows the class as happening. Annoyed. But it was the lackluster attitude from the front desk employee that made me go from annoyed to pissed off. There was another older lady who'd shown up for the same class, and similarly frustrated. The employee gave her some attitude and implied it was her fault for not knowing, "There's a board out front that says it." Well I went to the board and it's in extremely fine print, and there are several other boards there too, who reads all that. Plus you only see it once you're at the gym, so you already wasted time to get there. I told the front desk employee the online schedule needs updating. She stuck to her story, "It's on the board." I asked what other classes are happening now, maybe I could attend another since I'm already here and this is my time in my schedule to exercise. The employee looked at a schedule and said 3-4 random class names, times and studios. I asked to see the sched so I could browse it. She gave it, and I picked out a potential class. She said, "Oh see this schedule is no good." Ok so what's the point then? I asked her for her name. "Vi," she said curtly. I asked for her last name, she said, "I don't have to give you my last name." Wow! It was evident that this person had no desire to help me. Nor did she really know anything about the schedule of the day. Nor did she know much about how to resolve customer issues. Nor did she care. If this is all Vi does at her job, then just have a computer do it. At least a computer will give real information and won't give me attitude. Another time, my family came for family swim and the pool was short staffed on lifeguards. They made every family wait poolside until somebody in the pool left, to keep their ratios. Some poor families sat there waiting for 30 minutes. The lifeguards were terrible at communicating what was happening, why, or how it would be resolved. Then in the middle of the pool time, they made EVERYONE get out of the pool and take a "mandatory break" for 5 minutes. No idea why, no explanations. It was ridiculous.
