The pool is awesome, finally open and brand new from what I heard. I have not been there for 3-4 years but I'm coming back.

The lifeguards were really sweet and it's a nice pool with decent hours for kids. My kid had an amazing time.

This pool is almost like a trap...the pool is humongous but there are way too many rules and you can barely enjoy yourself

Nice pool, cheap, and has a kiddie pool of the chlorine levels are up to par. Otherwise, it's a great community pool.

I come here during the week to do open swim (I do the walking and swimming without lanes.) They have weights and noodles you can use as well as kickboards. Apparently she's been working there for long time and doesn't care about the customer. There are many seniors with walkers, canes and wheels chairs and she just doesn't care about their well being. Her focus is to lock up the door as soon as the pool closes. The pool hours are still on pandemic operating hours, it closes at 2.30pm till 4pm???? Why close the pool in the middle of the day and weekend? The hours are not clearly posted on the entrance, only in fine print. The city of Chula Vista has the funds to run the facility with longer hours but don't. If the city pay lifeguards according to market rate, they can find lifeguards. The YMCA has 6 lifeguards for a pool smaller than this pool. The worst locker room, shower only drip when more than 1 person turn it on. The shower tower is the same type on public beaches, it's not acceptable in 2024. Chula Vista funding is not well spent for the general public, instead, the funding is spent on the wealthy East Lake areas!

From the start, he was honest, transparent, and never once used high-pressure sales tactics (which I really appreciate). His quote came in fair compared to others I received, and he took the time to really understand our needs. We needed the fence as part of the process to become resource parents for San Diego County foster youth, and Matthew was incredibly thoughtful in helping us make sure everything aligned with CA code requirements. He even encouraged us to confirm details with our social worker and was flexible when we hit a small curveball with elevation changes from a nearby step. Installation day was seamless, about 4 hours for 136 feet of 5-foot fencing, and the finished product looks amazing (pictures don't lie!). He also went above and beyond by cleaning up the area, walking us through how everything works, and making sure we felt comfortable using the gate and removable sections. What really stood out was how easy and genuine he was to work with, it felt more like talking to a friend than a vendor. Plus, the lifetime warranty is a huge bonus and something we didn't see with other companies. I highly recommend Aquaguard and Matthew if you're looking for quality work, professionalism, and someone who truly cares about getting it right.

During the consultation, he took the time to explain the installation process, answer all of our questions, and educate us on the best approach for our pool. His pricing was fair, and the installation was quick, professional, and hassle-free. The finished fence looks fantastic, and most importantly, it gives us peace of mind knowing our kids and pets are safe around the pool. We're extremely satisfied with the entire experience and would highly recommend Matthew and AquaGuard Pool Fences to anyone looking for a quality pool fence installation.

I am writing to formally bring to your immediate attention a severe operational and safety failure…read morethat occurred at the Balboa Super Sport location in San Diego. On the consecutive late-night shifts of July 4 and July 5, 2026, the facility was left completely unstaffed for an eight-hour window starting at the 10pm shift. Operating a 100,000-square-foot high-volume fitness facility with zero employee oversight during these hours presents an unacceptable risk profile and a profound breach of the standard duty of care. In a high-risk environment of this scale, the total absence of personnel creates staggering liability. Had a member experienced a critical medical emergency, sustained a severe injury under a heavy lift, or had a physical altercation or security breach occurred, the lack of immediate staff response would be entirely indefensible. This operational gap placed both the members and the organization in a position of extreme vulnerability. Furthermore, reliable internal sources indicate that this lack of coverage was not a standard scheduling oversight, but rather the result of inter-club politics and regional friction between the La Jolla UTC and Imperial Avenue locations regarding sales credit allocation. Allowing regional rivalries and internal metrics to compromise basic facility safety and operational security represents a severe breakdown in leadership. Given the gravity of this situation, it is imperative that upper management intervene immediately to investigate this systemic failure, address the underlying operational conflicts, and implement strict protocols to ensure a facility of this magnitude is never left exposed again. I expect a prompt review of this matter to restore standard safety and professional oversight at the Balboa location.

She glances at me and starts talking to him again. I'm just standing there waiting patiently and I notice in my peripheral vision that she stares at me one more time. Decides to not even talk to me at all and glances back at him talking about things not related to work at all, lol. To grab her attention I had to glare at her to which the guy notices and points towards me to actually talk to me. She doesn't say good morning at all, or.. anything at all matter of fact. So I have to properly greet myself and let her know what I was there for, to activate my 3-day free pass. Three words only came out of her mouth; read the sign, while pointing at it. Yeah, no. I couldn't read it, BECAUSE IT WAS ORIENTED IN A MANNER THAT I COULDN'T READ IT. Those were the only three words that came out of her mouth, right after that she just went back to straight yapping which was hysterical. If I entered the gym and saw the huge pink sign properly displayed, maybe I would've read it and went "Oh gee, maybe I can't do this 3-day free pass thing!" I had to go through a solid 5 minutes of her glancing and ignoring me just for the big reveal that it was on a sign that literally in an orientation that I wasn't able to read when walking in.
