I've been living in this community for almost 10 years without knowing there's such an awesome kids pool within reach. Can't beat $4 for adults, $2 for children. It's also great to see Life Guards everywhere, they're strict in policy to ensure safety so I have high respect on that. 4 Stars because time is limited.

Looking for a community pool close by to take the kids to and came upon this place. It was a little hard to find at first because it's tucked away on some college campus. The open swim hours are limited, something like 12p to 4p on saturdays. Admission is $4 for adults (even if you're not planning on going in the water you still have to pay to get in) and $2 for kids. There's a regular pool for the kids to splash around in, a deep lap pool with several lanes, and a shallow kiddie area with a little clam slide that my youngest absolutely loved, a bucket structure that dumped water on the kids below and another play structure complete with a slide and several water spouts spraying water. The pool water felt warm and heated but the kiddie area water was cold which didnt seem to bother my kids just like how cold san diego ocean water doesnt seem to affect them either. The kids had fun and they didn't want to leave so we'll more than likely be back again. They offer a deal where you get 10 swims for $30 for adults good for one year from the time of purchase and accepted at all the city pools.

It is a city pool similar to others, near college in Mira Mesa. $4 for adults and $2 for children.

Definitely busy and chaotic during the summer due to field trips, but my kids loved it overall.

I hate this place. One of the life guards was rude. The process to register is terrible and they lack any kind of customer service.

Yes, it is a city pool so there are some rules that are enforced by the lifeguards but nothing crazy.

(This review is for the basic adult group swim lesson) I…read morejust took a basic adult group swim lesson at this facility. It was every Mon & Wed for 30 mins each time for 2 weeks. I was super excited when I found out there were only 3 women in the group. I wasn't excited anymore after 2nd session. During the first session I learned that one of women in the group already knew how to swim and she was there to learn how to lap swim. So basically she already knew how to do free style and could swim from one end to the other end of pool without any problem. She just wanted to polish and refine her techniques. She should have taken an intermediate swim lesson, not a basic lesson. Oh, and a private lesson, not a group lesson. I started feeling uneasy when I noticed the coach spent way more time with that woman than rest of us. The coach spent about 15 mins with her and maybe 5 mins with rest of us each time. It was obvious that woman acting like this was her own private lesson, kept on asking the coach tons of questions, interrupting that short 5 min session that the coach was having with another student by asking her to check her own techniques. I know there is always a person who would think she/he is entitled to do so. Then it should be the coach who needs to split the time equally for each student because this is a group lesson, not a private lesson, but the coach failed to do that. So if you are interested in taking a group lesson, look elsewhere.

I visited 24 Hour Fitness yesterday and witnessed an incident that left me feeling uncomfortable…read moreand possibly unsafe. An older customer directed racist language and derogatory comments toward another member, and the situation escalated quickly. At one point, I felt that the older man's behavior became threatening, by saying what he would do to the black guy after he responded to him for speaking down to him. When the black guy said your mama, after being called a slur, I was sure things were way past fixing. The interaction felt hostile rather than respectful or appropriate for a gym environment. When the other member stood up and responded, the older man left to speak with management. From what I observed, it appeared management may have taken the older man's side without fully understanding what was happening. I've also seen this same customer act rudely toward others in the past, particularly around personal space and how he interacts with members waiting for or using equipment. I'm reporting this because threats and racist conduct have no place in a fitness facility. I have experienced it also but I hope management takes complaints seriously, investigates thoroughly, and ensures members feel safe.

We love the pool, obstacle course, and amenities (showers, etc). We arrive at opening and always find parking. Here's why I'm giving 3 stars and may not renew my pass for next year. The fun you have is dependent on who is on staff that day. I don't know what happened between this year and last, but this year is not great. Some lifeguards and people at the desk are so rude. On one hand, I'm sympathetic because I know these jobs can be seasonal and you have to train new people, deal with customers, safety, etc, etc. But they create so much confusion and then they're rude when you follow the rule someone else on staff gave you. Then you tell them another person told you to do that and they act like you pulled this info out of your own butt. Last time I was there, I was going back and forth from the pool to the desk because the lifeguard and desk staff couldn't agree on whether my kids needed wristbands. Like I said, if this is just confusion between newer staff, that's fine, I feel for you. But they were both SO rude about it and were getting annoyed with me ‍ This is just the recent example, but it's now probably half our visits that there's some weird triangulation between me and two staff members telling me different things. There are some people who work here that are awesome and friendly. When they do swim tests, they speak clearly to the kids and give instructions/expectations clearly. They're straightforward and friendly when we check in. I think he might be a manager (he wears the pit vipers and has facial hair), he's super friendly although I don't see him that much any more. Sorry I don't know their names, but always relieved when they're there (and coincidentally they all seem to be on the same page with the rules/expectations ).
