Last Thursday, I dropped it off for Dan Dolin to clean and oil. I asked if I could have it back by the 16th. He got it done in 2 days and I didn't recognize it!!! Please take that into consideration when writing your review". As a healthcare professional, I understand this request since I try everyday to do MY BEST on the frontlines. However, when you walk into a store and NO ONE greets you or attempts to show any interest in you as a customer, it's a sad statement about their business priority. This is not the first time of this occurrence, so what was the excuse during the previous visits a few years ago? Honestly, I can not imagine owning a retail store, especially during this extreme economic downturn, and not being enthusiastic/helpful to a potential customer. Acknowledging your presence and being helpful is a BASIC retail business expectation. My business will go elsewhere since they apparently have all they need with their current client base.

I called yesterday regarding the AccuQuilt Cutting Systems to make sure they were a dealer and had demo models prior to driving from Knoxville. I was pleased to find out they did. When I arrived, I was greeted even though they were busy with other customers. When the customers had been helped the shop owner, Amy then spent well over an hour with me, educating me and letting me try the different machines. She was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions, making appropriate and helpful suggestions on the dies I would need based to the type of quilting I do. She was able to put together a custom package at a great price (even better than Amazon). I left pleased and feeling like I not only made an appropriate purchase but also a new friend. I will definitely be returning.

The foundation paper piecing was an amazing find. The shop was clean and well organized. Fabric selection was good and was very reasonable in price. I did ask for a few yards of fabric to be cut along with my other selections, the clerk was a bit abrasive at first and I was as thinking to myself "oh it figures typical quilt shop employee not taking a younger quilter seriously ". However, I pushed a little and made her stir up some conversation that was a little better but she still could have been a little more pleasant. Overall a nice place but I'm not sure I would drive out of my way to go there again.

I had to request help a couple times and they did their best to find suitable materials for my needs. Whenever I visit, I always notice the customer interactions, and it is reassuring to see the pleasantries and smiles on people's faces. It is a different experience than the chain stores!
