    Pollo a la Crema
    Pamela F.

While this place could probably stand in as the definition of "hole in the wall"... the food is actually pretty decent. Starting with the chips and salsa, they offer a fresh pico that was well made and a true taqueria style salsa that is a little oregano forward but good. The heat sneaks up on you. Our food came out fairly quickly and was piping hot. I got the #1 combo - enchilada and taco. I was impressed by the cheesiness. He got the Pollo a la crema that was also super cheesy and had great flavor. We aren't used to having peas, carrots, and corn in the rice, so that was a little odd. We went for lunch, so the portions were good for lunch, but if it's the same portion for dinner, it might be a bit small. The restaurant itself is in a bit of disrepair, but mostly clean. The plates and cups and utensils are a bit past their useful dates (cracks and chips and such). Being right on Main St. Parking will be dependent on the time of day and day of the week. The waiter was polite and attentive. And he cleared plates efficiently.

Chicken Chimichanga with guac & sour cream

Stopped-in for a late dinner and ordered a Chicken Chimichanga off the à la carte menu. Table service was prompt and friendly and my food came out after a short wait of munching on Tortilla Chips and two kinds of salsa. Everything tasted fresh and the Chimi was served with generous servings of guacamole & sour cream. Hard to beat a crispy Chimi when the craving hits :-) I noticed that at virtually every table, someone was enjoying a margarita...popular drink there so they must be good. Next time! So if you're craving Mexican food in downtown Springfield, Memo's is the place.

Decent Mexican food served by a friendly gent. Nothing earth shattering, but decent. Place was fairly clean and did the business. Would rate 3.5 stars but won't short this place so 4 you go!

Skeie's Jewelers put a post about having people comment on their favorite restaurants in the Eugene Springfield area, and I noticed that Memos is a definite favorite, I decided to try it because I just moved to the area and I really like Mexican food. I was not disappointed. The mole chicken was perfect. There was a typical diced tomato salsa, and also a really good smoky tomato-based sauce. The guacamole was good. I could've licked my plate! Service was friendly and quick, can't wait to go back.

Super burrito for my super bf

We were tired after a long drive and just wanted some really good Mexican food...well Memo's hit the spot! Not only were my tacos delish, my bf's super burrito was truly super big! Complementary warm chips and flavorful salsa...we just had to split a giant marg. To top off the friendly service they gave us both a complementary'Mexican whiskey' shot. Thx so much!!!

The best COVID times restaurant patio I've seen so far in Lane County. If more restaurants would step up to the plate like this, they'd see an increase in revenue. The food was good, the atmosphere was great and the drinks! Margs with size options of S,M,L, you've got options. The large top shelf margarita was of course our drink of choice. They were very generous with their heaters unlike some, I'm looking at you Tacovore . They had them all on, turned all they way up the whole time. When people started leaving they even brought us a second heater. We were really happy enjoying warm outdoor dining for the first time! If you're looking for a warm and fun outdoor dining experience where the booze is flowing, I found it in Springfield. You heard it here first.

Salsa was good. Even came with pico. The food was ok. But just ok. The service was fine. But just fine. The salsa was good.

Best chips and salsa in town! The service was amazing and I finally found a Mexican restaurant that rivals what I could get down south.

We found some of our favorite snacks at the front and grabbed those on our way to look at the meats. The first red flag, all of the meat was the same dull, brown color. It looked like it had been sitting there for a while and was going bad. The second red flag was that there was no signage for price or what each meat even was. We stood there at the meet counter and noticed some workers talking to each other in the aisle about 10' from us. They said hello and that was all. Didn't ask if we needed help picking or purchasing anything and didn't even seem enthusiastic when saying hello. There was no one else in the store. While they conversed, we started looking at some sauces they had in the aisle behind us. The third red flag, and what ultimately made me put my snacks down and leave was that there was an odd looking jar of Tostino's on the shelf. I was pretty certain of what I was looking at so I urned the jar to check the date, and sure enough, it had expired in January of 2025!! The very front product! Obviously there is no FIFO (first in, first out) in this store. I pointed it out to my partner and we left without purchasing anything. The overall lack of care they had to help customers, as well as gross looking meat and expired product just made me severely unnerved. I recommend going elsewhere for tacos whether you're making them yourself or eating in house.

There is no dedicated lot. I wasn't even sure they were open when we stopped by. It took a few minutes to find an employee. Once we did, he was kind and helpful. I ordered four tacos, and I forget what my friend ordered. But it wasn't an expensive lunch. We waited for what seemed like forever for everything to be ready. Walking around outside, the building looks like a shack. I'm not even sure there is running water inside. It has the same siding as the apartments behind it, so I wonder if it's ran by someone who lives there? Or if they cook in their home and bring it there? I have no idea. This seems very similar to Joey's Pizza in that as long as you close your eyes and don't pay attention to where your food is coming from, it'll be great. Food itself was quite tasty and enjoyable. We took ours to-to and went home. Seating is an outdoor table only. Which seems more appropriate just for waiting to get the food than to actually eat it there. Would I return? If I happen to be driving by and they're open, yes. I can't say I'd go out of my way to eat here though. But it was certainly tasty for a tiny little dive.
