Food wasn't that great. Food wasn't even hot. Lady charged my card then told me it wasn't paid. I pulled up my bank and it was taken out. She asked to take a picture and show her manager because she said it doesn't show up on her report. She asked how do I plan on paying.. yet again I showed my bank statement it had already came out. Had a really bad dinner service tonight. Upon arriving we walked in to dinning room and had to wait almost 10 mins for the waitress to notice we were there. Shouldn't have been hard due to the fact there was only 1 other table occupied. We were seated by the swinging door to the bar. We ordered dinner, waited way to long for waitress to bring us some water. The food arrived almost cold enchiladas shouldn't be cold anyways the conversation in the bar that the waitress was in such a hurry to get back to centered on 2 trans females that are regular customers there and how the 3 or 4 other patrons there tonight claim they were told about the lady's transformations and how very crudely the males there wanted to be towards and with them. The conversation was appoling and disgusting these are customers and they think the wait staff are real friends. They share out loud the trans customers phone info and the hole time are just laughing and having a great time while myself and my companion sat in the dinning room in non belief. I advised the waitress how in bad taste there conversation was and told her I will never step foot back in there. I highly suggest not going to such a miserable place read more

Great food and happy employees! Everyone we interacted with was very friendly! The food was quickly made and exactly as ordered (we changed up the dishes and added some things). Nothing was greasy or overdone or sloppy! Very well made and a great dining experience overall. We certainly will be back when we are in town-glad we found this place. read more

This place was one of the worst Mexican restaurants I have tried alot I'm from San Diego. First of all I was warned after the fact to just go for the margaritas. Which maybe if we ordered drinks it would of tasted better. It is also very dark in there so you can't see what your eating which is probably a good thing. I ordered a tamale plate and my husband a Chorizo dish when I told them the food was cold the waitress started yelling to the lady at the register in Spanish. I live nearby and am always on the look out for delicious Mexican food. El Kiosco did not deliver. The food lacked flavor, and what little taste you could gather, was something I would expect from a child's first attempt at cooking. The fajitas were 90% vegetables and the seasoning appeared to be throw on top as a garnish. I couldn't even make it halfway through the Chile Relleno burrito without dosing it with salsa and hot sauce. I'm not generally one for negative reviews but my hope is to help others teetering, avoid spending money on such lackluster food and slow service. read more

Glad to find a Mexican restaurant that has chicken tacos with a crisp shell and shredded chicken that has been seasoned! Finally! Same with their chicken tamales! I'm from Southern California where they know how to make good Mexican - not an easy find here! I had a trio combo; the chicken taco, chicken tamale and substituted the beef enchilada for a cheese. I really enjoyed the taco and tamale but felt the enchilada lacked in sauce. Overall, the food and service was good enough that I'll return, but not enough for a 5-star rating. read more

We came here for my son's birthday around opening time. Only three of us in the restaurant at the time, one waitress, extremely slow to bring anything to our table. Took fifteen minutes to bring us our water and chips. The cheese was not melted on my enchilada, and all of our food was cold. The waitress never came back during our visit for anything. Well, was hungry and didnt want fast food. The place was empty about 2pm. Server was friendly and polite. Got my soda and chips right away. Ordered the shredded beef taco salad. It tasted good but had about 2 ounces of shredded beef in it. The taco bowl shell it was served in was the smallest i have ever seen. The small salads at fast food mexi restaurants are bigger. Would not recommend this place! I unfortunately left my wallet here over night, at closing time with close to $100 in cash. When I went to get it the next day, the cash was gone! I honestly couldn't believe it. My partner and I watched video with the owner just to see if the one and only other customer in the restaurant had taken it. No.. it was clear it was seen by our waitress as soon as we left... the video also shows our waitress pick up a black object off of the seat, where I was sitting, then disappearing from the camera for about 30 seconds. The owner wasn't rude but just couldn't admit that it was one of her employees, saying that you never actually see her taking the money.. I love this place precisely because it is not very spicy. If you have a need for some extreme spice in your Mexican food, this is not the place. Good portions, good drinks (as has been outlined here numerous times). However the wait times are horrific. Everytime I have been here we have to wait at least 30 min for our food after ordering. While this is a good place, I would suggest going with people you really want to have some time to chat with. I would not try and come here if you need anything quickly. read more

The food is your typical Eugene Mexican food; bland and not authentic. I ordered the beef taquito and chicken enchilada combo plate. The rice tasted like Rice-a-Roni and the enchilada sauce reminded me of Old El Paso sauce out of a can. It was so salty! Neither my chicken or beef had any flavor. This is the first time I've ever had bland Mexican food! It was very dry and tasteless. Only redeeming factor here was the chips and salsa, of which apparently you only get one serving. Best Mexican food in town. I've been coming here since I was 6 years old-back then they called it La Fiesta. The enchiladas in particular are very good. Really though, all the food is good, it's very well done and it's easily the most authentic Mexican food you can get around here since Moreno's closed. Service has always been friendly in the 19 years I've gone there. The waitresses are very prompt and I've never had to wait longer than 20 minutes from the time I've sat down, to getting my drinks, ordering, and getting my food. Also, very reasonably priced. My family and I love this place and go here whenever I come back into town. Before college it was a regular friday night dinner spot for us. We love the staff, they are always quick and friendly. Also, it isn't overly crowded. They have great salsa but if you want more heat just ask for the hotter salsa which they make special :) All the food is good and they are always willing to accommodate! read more

I saw this place had a low star rating, so I was a bit hesitant, but really wanted chips and salsa. Came here with my 4 year old twin grandson's and my 19 year old daughter. I'm from the Monterey Bay area and here to visit my daughter. I have to say, I have absolutely no complaints, the kids loved their meal, everyone enjoyed the chips and salsa, my daughter and I loved our meal, try the enchilada del Mar! This is our regular Mexican restaurant. Used to be because they had a low-carb menu. Alas, that's more or less gone, but they still carry a few relatively low-carb options. My husband and I share a margarita, but I let him have most of it. Yeah, right. The waitress knows us. We know her. Why haven't we asked her name? Shame on us for several years of eating the food and not getting her name. She must know ours from our debit card. Anyway, I like the place. The fare seems a bit less fat-laden than the average Mexican place, so we'll continue to make it "our" Mexican place. read more
