I would give 0 stars if this review app would allow me to. Please never assume this business is as good as they used to be, especially when they were located in down town Raleigh. I detailed cleaned my car better when I used to do it myself. I would have been better off going to Autobell drive through car wash. I paid $350 for a detailed hand wash, exterior wax, and full interior shampoo. However, all the door jams were still dirty, the spots where still on seats after fully dried, all windows were still dirty and water spots on exterior mirrors. Wow! I recently got my CRV detailed with Men at Work Car Care. My car is the car that gets used for moving mulch, driving around our hairy dogs, and the one for outdoor excursions. When I brought the car in it had an insane amount of dog hair and dirt. I was so impressed when I picked it up. It looked (and smelt) brand new! Mike & his crew did an excellent job detailing my daughter's work SUV. For the past year or so, it had been used as a farm vehicle and hauled a lot of literal crap. This place is AMAZING. Someone promptly greeted me upon arrival and asked what I was looking for - we decided on a $30 inside/outside wash that would be done within the hour. I mentioned I had to be somewhere in 45 minutes and he assured me they could accommodate the time. 30 minutes later (that felt like 20 minutes) they had the car looking CLEAN and shiny, inside and out. I was a little concerned the lack of daylight was going to mean they missed some spots (I went around 5pm, 30 minutes before full sunset in January) but nope - they were AWESOME! They pull the car into a car park with fluorescent lighting. I cannot recommend them enough. They take credit cards and you can add the tip to the car - they all split the tips at the end of the day. And man, do they DESERVE them! I can't stop telling everyone that my car feels brand new. I'm like a new person because of it! I will DEFINITELY go back! FYI they also do full shampooing and such of the interior but they need a day to do it or at least half a day. They mentioned they'll shuttle me to where I need to go if they have to work on the car in that scenario too. Top notch! read more

i don't do many 5 stars but i gotta say, these men cleaned my car better than i could and i'm anal when it comes to cleaning my cars. These men truly do "sweat the details" as their tshirts say. I'd just come off a road trip on the east coast and my ride needed some TLC. They washed it, dried it, cleaned the rims, windows and interior (mats, windows, seat surfaces and dash) as well as dressing not just the tires but also the wheel wells, grill and trunk trim. You would think it was detailed the way it shined. There's seating inside for patrons to sit & watch tv while waiting. I chose to stand after my 9 hour road trip, couldn't take sitting. Some may say they're expensive, but tell me what a good HAND WASH and all the final spiffing up is worth?? In 2021 I had my vehicle cleaned by Men At Work Car Care. The nature of the dispute is that my rearview mirror was damaged by the men servicing my vehicle. When I explained what happened to the shop's manager he was extremely rude and cursed at me saying his workers did not damage my rearview mirror. I took my car in on a Saturday afternoon for a shampoo and wash. The staff was very friendly. They were relatively detailed on the cleaning on the inside of the vehicle, they left smudges / smears on the front windshield. There were spots missed on the body of the vehicle.. not many, but for $150.00 I expect a pretty clean car. I'm not sure what tool they used to shampoo the inside of my vehicle but it must have used old soapy water. It took about two weeks for the smell to subside... the interior was clean though. Lastly, I had about 3-4 dollars worth of meter money in my dashboard compartment.. I noticed a couple days later that wasn't there. That is unacceptable. Their prices are a tad higher than what you'd expect - but the outcome is well worth the $$ you give them. Over a casual chat, Mike learnt that this was my first car and first destination with it (I literally drove it to Men-At-Work the first thing after buying it from a used car dealer) and went the extra mile to super clean the engine bay too. I got the "wash and wax": Hand washed twice, clean tires, rims, windows, wipe down dash,vacuum, dress tires, shampoo floor mats,clean door jams, hand wax, paint finder wells, vacuum trunk, and remove wax off entire car, tooth brush all emblems, hood and trunk jams, etc. They did a terrific job and I was completely satisfied. More importantly, so was my wife... Mike is a great guy who cares about customer service and was a pleasure to work with. I have received incredible service from Mike and the guys at Men At Work. Both my wife and I's cars looked awful from many months of seeing no car washes. Plus, I was due for an NC DOT inspection, which I absolutely hate waiting at a random garage for. After finding Men At Work on yelp, I called Mike who told me about all their services. Not only do they offer free pick-up (at my home in Cary) and several detailing options, but they inspect cars too. Mike stopped by on a Thursday at 11am to pickup my car and was back with it inspected and flawlessly clean at 3pm. The next day, Mike again picked up my wife's car at 11am and dropped a spotless version back off at 2pm. We went with exterior wax and interior clean for $75 a piece (discounted to $70 since I did two vehicles). I can't say enough good things about the quality of work preformed. You could eat off of any surface of the car, which is amazing because before the washing, it looked like we had (I'm a little ashamed). Another great thing about Men At Work is the staff they employ. Mike Phillips is amazing and Men at Work is the only place you should go to get your car washed, waxed, etc. On a sunny Saturday in April, Mike greeted and thanked every customer that arrived. After more than 25 years in business, it's impressive to see Mike's enthusiasm and commitment to customer service. He also is one of the few owners in Raleigh that employs ex-convicts. Mike believes in second chances, and his employees do fantastic work. A standard car wash ran me $25, and that included vacuuming and cleaning the interior. While I waited, I was entertained by Mike and the NCAA Final Four dunk contest on the TV in the waiting room. My car looked great when they were done, and I plan on bringing it back regularly. Wow this place is as good as it gets while it comes to service. It did take a while for them to get around to my car since they were very busy mid-day Saturday (I would call or email before hand to schedule an appointment or have someone drop you off) but the wait was worth it. My car smells and looks brand new, the best job out of the other car washes I've been to in the area. $25 + tip for a hand wash and vacuum is a very reasonable price for the service that you get. The owner Mike is very friendly and puts you at ease/shows his enthusiasm for what he does while you're waiting for your car! And when you leave all the people work there have the greatest "Thank You" routine. Came here for the first time Saturday and I was pleased, and here are my tips: 1) If you go on a busy day, have a friend drop you off and go to lunch because you could be waiting a long time on a busy day 2) Make sure you thoroughly inspect the job when you're done. I didn't and I realized they forgot to vacuum my trunk (once I got home), so I went back. I'm not sure how this place has 5-star reviews but perhaps it was just my experience. I was looking for a hand wash and found this place online. When I arrived I saw a few people washing cars but no one came to greet me. After waiting a few minutes out I finally saw the person in charge. He told me I needed to come back so I did. When I came back for my appointment I waited a few minutes and left him the car. The process took about 20-30 minutes but I was hugely disappointed with the results. In fact, I had scheduled an appointment to bring my other vehicle and decided not too. For the price and the time I would not bring my car here again. They forgot some basic things, like dust on the dash, the wheel still looked dirty etc. Perhaps they saw my california plates and said "it's whatever he doesn't live around here" or what but I expected better. Let me tell you, as a former Autobell customer they will never see me again after going to Men at Work. I have never seen my car this clean since I got it in 2011. My car was filthy from the snow, all the dirt I tracked in, and a red sauce stain on the mats. They made my car almost brand new again.
