Upon arrival, I was told I could either receive a free wash that day or pay $10 for unlimited washes for approximately one week. I agreed to the $10 short-term option only. I was then asked whether I wanted to enroll in an ongoing unlimited monthly plan, which I explicitly declined. After that initial week, I did not return or use their services again. I recently discovered that I have nevertheless been charged $35 per month for the past six months. I brought this to management's attention and requested a refund. They refused, asserting that I authorized a subscription, despite their own records confirming that I have not used the service since the initial promotional period. Came here on a Saturday afternoon and the place is very busy. We decided to purchase the $30 a month unlimited service. The website is easy to use and you can cancel at any time. Nice supply of towels, window cleaner, odor reducer, and interior cleaner. Vacuums are pretty strong and there is a nice mat washing station as well. read more

This location has high quality facilities and the staff definitely have a hustle and you can tell they're selective about who they hire (in a good way). I've been coming to this location for about a year. Unfortunately, this business seems to be the latest casualty of the hordes of people moving here and flooding the area. Finding a vacuum station after your wash on the weekends is getting harder and harder. The attention paid to pre-rinsing the windows by the tunnel attendant seems like it's dwindling a bit, because there's just SO many cars they have to get to. Also, they're now raising prices. I have been bringing up how it's getting more and more crowded to each of the gate attendants and warning them that they need to start increasing rates for new members to control volume and preserve the experience. To charge the original members that helped build the business feels a bit like a slap in the face to those of us that have been here with them since they opened their doors at this location. If you work M-F and plan on being able to find a car detailing stall after you wash so you can vacuum and clean your vehicle's interior, just do yourself a favor and plan on taking some PTO to come get your car washed during the week, because it ain't happening on a weekend. read more

Heroes prices have increased. They advise you that you can get the basic car wash ($20) unlimited for the same price, but they do not let you know that after the first month, it increases to $35. Depending on how often you get your car washed, that may or may not be a good deal. They briefly hose off your front bumper/hood area only, so the rear bumper/trunk area does not get clean. I like the fact that this car wash includes tire shine, but I wish my car got entirely clean when driving through. Also, towels are not always available. read more

WARNING - I have visited this location for more than 8 years. It has changed ownership and I was scammed into being charged for a monthly membership. I purchased a $10 car wash, and then I was subsequently charged $35 monthly, that I did not approve or authorize. I spoke to the owner in person and she said she wouldn't refund the charges - that it was a membership. I dislike thieves or scammers, so I cannot recommend this car wash to anyone. They jacked all their prices up. Now the least expensive wash is $20. They try to scam you into their monthly membership plan which is $30 and they justify it by comparing it to their overpriced $20 wash. I recently visited for a full service wash utilizing my membership but I was not pleased with the results. Thinking it was residue following the ice storm, I brought it the attention of Oso, one of the employees. After examining my areas of concern, he motioned to B, the site manager to join us. B quickly grabbed a towel and one of the complimentary spray bottles explaining every surface it can be used on while first applying it to a very small test area on the hood. He then sprayed it all over the hood and he and Oso got to it. We stood there watching them. The precision and concentration was amazing! When they learned that it was also on the trunk, they went ahead and took care of that area as well. B asked Oso to retrieve a detailing product from inside and although my brother offered to help, they were not having it. My car looked as if it had been fully detailed all over and even after a couple of rainy days and a leaf blowing crew that didn't properly clear their debris from affected cars, I am so grateful for B and Orso and this is one of many reasons I continue to return to Heroes Car Wash in Cary. After a long awaited rebranding and refreshing, the car wash in Crescent Commons is now open and it was well worth the wait. I've been several times now and can't say enough good things about this location. If you remember how awful the Car Wash Lodge had gotten, you will find this a breath of fresh air. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The wash itself does a really good job, but my favorite part is that each vacuum station has it's own clean towels and cleaning solutions so you don't have to walk all over the place looking for them. As others have stated, friendly staff, and the machines do a pretty good job cleaning the exterior, the issue is the pricing for the service that is provided. Unlimited went from about $25 up to $35 a month which is ridiculous and totally not worth it, especially since you have to clean and vacuum the interior yourself. I joined their monthly program around 8 months ago. Introductory rate was $15 per month for 3 months. After that it went up to $23.95 per month. It was at that rate for about 4 months and suddenly I look at my credit card bill and the charge is now $35 per month. I reached out to them and they said my rate was an introductory special but that had stopped months before. They then said it had been posted for 45 days that the prices were going up but I never saw anything posted anywhere and got no notice from them. Figured I'll try this new location that was a pervious old school car wash. And let me say that this is totally automated even the tire shine. Also this is a longer car wash than the other ones, so I feel like the car is really cleaned. Don't forget to hit up the complementary cleaners to your right after you exit the wash. It's even an air sprayer for those crumbs that's in the nooks and crannies. Of course it rained right after I finished but that gives me a reason to come back! read more

The automated car wash comes with 80s disco lights :) . They have a mat cleaning station, vacuum, and also 3 different types of cleaning products for your car. Finally an automated car wash in Cary! Drove by and saw that it was open for business and pulled in to try them out. It's called "Heroes" Car Wash in the old location of Rocket Car Wash on NW Maynard across the street from the Trek Bicycle shop. We pulled in and we were met by a friendly employee ready to assist us with our car wash choice (which is pretty standard) which they offered 3 different tiers of washes. As we pulled through the tunnel, my wife and I noticed that the whole wash and dry process was purposefully a little slower in an effort to be thorough and make sure the customer is getting their money's worth. Once we parked at the vacuum station, which was nicely arranged with plenty of clean microfiber towels, glass cleaner, air freshener and interior cleaner to use, we were approached by an employee who began wiping down our back window. I was surprised that they did that and asked him if they normally do that for customers and his response was that they do this because sometimes the dryers don't always get the back window completely dry and it also gives them a chance to engage with customers, which is not normal but we certainly appreciated and saw the value in that. As of May 11, 2023 they currently have the old signs up but I was informed that they are waiting for the Town of Cary to give them approval to remove the sign and install their own sign. We have tried many car washes and this place is different in at least 3 ways; 1. We felt like the employees were engaging from start to finish. 2. The speed of the wash process was slower which meant a better and more thorough wash. 3. The vacuum stands fully stocked with fresh towels and the complimentary car care products. We have lived in Cary for about 2.5 years and have always gone to Apex for a wash, which was about a 20 minute drive but now that Heroes is close by, we will certainly be coming here more often. read more

My first time here this week and boy am I kicking myself for not trying this sooner. An exceptional wash and the jet dry makes it look like it was wiped down. Oh, and the tires. The machine somehow scrubs the tires and makes them look like I've sprayed them with some kind of cleaner. I immediately brought my other cars over for a wash. I also like the check-in process, order the service you want from the kiosk while staying in your car. In fact, you stay in your car through the entire process which was nice. This place is very disingenuous . Yes the facility is very nice, and the staff is friendly (if not way too friendly), but when you first show up they offer a free upgrade on your single car wash where you can have unlimited washes for the next few months at the same price as the one wash. What they don't tell you is that they are going to then charge you every single month starting the next month for this service and that cancellation is nearly impossible to figure out. I had to goto my credit card company to put an end to it. Perhaps their fine print says something else, but from what the employee told me, and my understanding of what I was reading on the screen, this was not what I was getting into.
