My favorite home improvement place now. What I REALLY like is the option to get rebates, it does require some work on your end but worth it when comparing the pricing to other options. I always send in the rebates and that will give me more money for future Menards shopping. I sometimes get confused when in the store, as a new home I am green to this type of shopping. I found this amazing petunia called the midnight star that looks like the sky at night with stars, I'm totally in love with it! Besides that, Menards has TONS of indoor/outdoor items for the garden. Plus all your hardware needs. They also have a small grocery and pet section that can help you cut down in your number of stops when running errands. It's pretty big so finding things is sometimes a challenge but the staff is friendly and helpful. read more

Menards Klearveau Cabinets for the Kitchen are a vastly inferior product. First, you have to assemble EVERYTHING. Then, the fit is terrible. Drawers won't close or adjust. The structure requires massive additional supports. The sink cabinet wasn't strong enough to support the sink without reinforcements we had to come up with ourselves. They use vinyl wood-look TAPE to finish out the trim. There are plastic feet on the base units. The screws are if inferiirxwuslity metal and strip easily. In short, a terrible product not worth your money. Oh yes, and when you call they won't help. They ask you to send pictures of the problem in an e mail. Call, and they'll give you a number with a recording that tells you to send pictures in an email. Avoid this product st all costs IMO read more

This store is a rip off!!! They put product on the shelf with a price of 4.99. Then whey you go to the check out they charge you double. I went to purchase grill parts and the box and produce stated 4.99 On the shelf. I checked out and was charged 9.99. I went back and checked the shelf and product and it read 4.99. I asked for help and Joe the associate was happy to help me. When he scanned the product he said this is not the right item. I explained that there are two boxes there and would like the price that is clearly marked on the shelf. He stated that he could not do this and only a store manager could however they won't give it to me. I asked to speak with the manager Anthony. Was told he was with a customer. I waited for over a half hour and still Anthony did not show his face . I then went to the service desk where I asked to speak to Anthony again and was told he is still with a customer.? Strange?? Over a half hour?? I finally left as my time is worth more than what MENARDS feels there customers are worth. In my recent shooping excursions to Menards to "save Big Money" I have noticed that Menard's and their employees seem to be trying much harder than in the past and it seems to be working. I have had excellent help and assistance by their staff and their ad flyers are generally laid out. In finishing our basement we have visited Menards in Germantown a number of times in the last 5 weeks. The first time was to look at Carpet - and we met Noah. Noah helped us compare carpet and laminate flooring and provided us with a plethora of good information, knowing all the time that we were comparing pricing with a local Carpet Dealer as well as another Big Box store. We ended up obtaining our carpet elsewhere due to a specific type we were looking for, BUT because of Noah's customer service we purchased everything else for our remodel from Menards - a store that is out of our way compared to other Big Box home improvement stores. We did purchase Vinyl Laminate flooring with Noah's help for around a basement kitchenette. Next was cabinets, where we met Ted (who seems to always be there). Ted worked with me to search through cabinets while my wife was on her way with kids (count them 4 under the age of 5) in tow. When my wife finally arrived Ted and I had a game plan and only need a little input and the final stamp of approval from my wife. My 4 and 2 year old were thirsty while we were finishing our order, so rather than sending us to the water fountain at the front of the store, Ted pulls out his lunch box and proceeds to grab one of his two (unopened and sealed) bottles of water and hands it over to our kids with our approval. WOW!!! That's above and beyond. Since then I have visited Ted for Cabinet accessories and countertops - and the same GREAT service each time without fail.
