On Sunday, August 10th, my husband and I visited Menchie's expecting the great experience we've always enjoyed. Instead, we were met with an interaction that left us deeply uncomfortable. While my husband was sampling a small amount of a flavor a normal and welcomed part of the Menchie's experience a female staff member, Lisa, abruptly rushed toward him. Without any greeting, she leaned in close, pointed aggressively at the machines just inches from his face, and in a sharp, condescending tone demanded, "THESE are the flavors," proceeding to read them all aloud as if he were incapable of understanding. The abruptness, the physical proximity, and the unnecessary hostility in her voice were just jarring and humiliating. This was not a misunderstanding it was a public dressing-down over something as innocent as tasting frozen yogurt. We left feeling unwelcome and frankly disrespected. Do better, Ms. Lisa. read more

He got to this location at 9:20 and they close at 10pm This was the order I asked him to pick up going of the national website: Peach mango tart (flavor)- If the don't have that blue raspberry tart, Hi-Chew dragon fruit or Dole whip pineapple. Toppings- almonds, mardrin oranges, raspberries, pineapple, strawberries, gummy bears, chocolate snow caps and a few frosted animal cookies I know it's a lot but I haven't eaten in 4 days. They had none of the flavors I requested, the only flavors they had were strawberry, banana pudding, original tart, strawberry smoothie sorbet, lemon sorbet, coconut, vanilla and chocolate. They had no fruit toppings out! None. The only "fruit like" thing they had was those boba things, which is not fruit! It might just be me, but what sets these fro-yo places apart is the toppings and for me the "tart" flavors. I can have basic froyo anywhere. This was my first and last time trying a Menchie's. I know it's franchises but if this is what is is like for a late night customer, there is no reason i should change it up from Yogurtland. Perhaps when we were there, its almost "closing" hours but from their website, this location closes @ 11.00pm on a Friday evening. To make "matter worst" the location of this Menchie's is NEXT to a CINEMA, hence "THE CROWD", that evening. Perhaps its GOOD, for business stand point of view. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. Oh well, came, purchase, tried, tasted the MENCHIE's Frozen Yogurt of this location, with the toppings I like, left me, sad.. so sad.. unimpressed... *MORE SAD FACE* The "oozing" boba they offer only 1 flavor option, EPIC FAILURE.. Well who doesn't like Froyo! Its very similar to Pink Berry. I really love frozen yogurt and they have a log of options here. They even have options for waffle cones now. Plus, I loved the waffle chips. They were amazing. Me and my fiance had pure chocolate and the cheesecake flavor yogurt. I loved all the extras they provide. I wish this frozen yogurt shop was closer to where I lived. Definitely worth the trip! Of the four visits I have made thus far, they have always had the flavors and toppings I require. Parking out front on the street is metered and busy since it is in the Northfield Shopping Centre surrounded by restaurants and stores. I recommend parking in the free larger lots on the side - a little walk before and after dessert. This location is doing a great job of social distancing and making sure everyone is wearing a mask and applying hand sanitizer. read more

I love Menchie's. I come here ALL of the time. It's awesome. As far as the location itself, it's the same as every other Menchie's (which is good). The flavors are good and they alternate a bit, but keep my favorite strawberry in rotation 90% of the time so I'm happy. This place is super expensive though, plan on $15 for two full cups with little to no toppings. Also, and I hate to call people out so hard, but there is a woman that works here who is very unpleasant. I've seen her lecture grown adults for eating toppings before they get to the counter, to start cleaning tables the second people stand and are still gathering their things, ask people leaning against the counter to move, and yell at people to hurry to the counter when they aren't ready yet. She's very high strung and it's honestly stressful to watch. If there were other froyo options in the area I would probably take advantage of them, but as there are not I will happily still go to Menchie's at least weekly! It's definitely delicious, just make sure you don't sneak any toppings when Mrs. Menchie's Monitor is around. read more

We have been on a super busy weekend with lots of customers and the place was spotless with employees staying on top of any spill or unsupervised child. I have also been in during a weekday afternoon, and have been the only customer and the place was so disgusting that I walked right back out with out. Think melting yogurt in the catches, floor, and toppings scattered everywhere with some employee dude playing with his phone. Now while a dirty yogurt shop is unacceptable I have to say I also can't stand the nasty adults and their snot nosed kids that handle the machines themselves while licking the overage off their fingers and then sticking them all over the next machine handle. Went here the 1st time. Had a nice welcoming wnd everythung got explained. Loved my yoghurt ice cream. I loved that the restroom had a steps tool. Facility was clean. Only negatives: Music was too loud! Employee (3) were ALL in the kitchen. A costumer came in that was a little helpless and overwhelmed and did not know how the menchie's work. It took alnost 3 minutes for the employee to come out. You don't need 3 people in the kitchen;-) read more

The flavors that they did have though were tasty and not too sweet. I always like to have 2 flavors so one balances the other depending on what I'm feeling that day. I think I got the dulce de leche and...vanilla? They have the usual toppings you can put in your froyo. I like having almonds and little bits of chocolate chips. They charge you by weight, but otherwise, this is still a simple, solid place to grab some froyo. read more

She immediately gave him some water and continued to check on him. She then gave us his yogurt for free because she said he had worried her. How wonderful is she?! I've been making the rounds to all the fro-yo joints popping up around town,(Pink Berry, Peach Wave, Yougurt Land, etc...), and am officially in love with Menchie's. From the friendly staff and delicious yogurt and toppings, right down to their adorable little spoons, which I admittedly save and send to my niece and nephews. I like to imagine them eating some inferior frozen treat with the cute hot pink spoons. Down to the biz... Menchie's has a great combo of flavors - fruity, nutty, sweet, tart, and every single one that I have sampled (thanks to their free sample cups), is delicious. I highly recommend the dulce de leche and pecan praline. Another bonus in my book is the fat-free, sugar-free hot fudge. I'm no health freak by any means, but I appreciate an ounce less guilt while topping my delicious treat. Oh, and I've never had to wait in line or elbow through a crowd to get to the goods, even during prime time, which I definitely appreciate. And their toppings are all covered, so I don't have to worry about unsanitary people sneezing in my walnuts... as much. read more

I'm advocating that you support this particular Menchie's store and here's why. My wife and I came here from Park Hill in response to a frozen yogurt craving and a need to get out. We filled our bowls from a wide selection of delicious yogurt flavors and a huge selection of toppings. It was shortly before closing and the owner was there directing the staff in cleanup and engaged my wife and I in conversation. As we got to know her story, we became supporters of her store. She is devoted to the kids that she hires. She takes kids that others may not give a shot, but then they've got to show they will work. When they do, she becomes devoted to them. My wife spoke with one of the kids and mentioned his boss seems great. He said that she had no idea, and told her that recently he couldn't get down to the DMV for his driving test, so the owner made arrangements to take him down herself. Yelp is a source of judgement. We rightly take a look at the cleanliness of the tables or that there are too many kid patrons. But I'm so glad I found Lisa and her efforts to train and move forward a young group of workers. We are coming back whenever we can in support of her and her young workers. Additional note- the 11 pm closing listed must be summer hours, because during the winter they appear to close at 9 pm. read more

Menchies is delicious! They have 12 flavors of self serve froyo, and all the toppings you could ever want! They have various sauces, nuts, candy, fruit, and even mochi! On the way out, we saw their pre-packaged froyo, which included even more flavors, including peppermint, and others, not in the dozen above! I had original tart, strawberry banana, and outrageous orange, with about 10 toppings, which was quite amazing! The staff was extremely friendly, and helpful. We had never been there, so they immediately welcomed us, and explained the self-serve-sell-by-the-ounce concept. My fellow Yelpers are awesome yet again. I have to admit I have bookmarked every frozen yogurt place around town. I am beginning to be an expert on this stuff, a list maybe soon coming. I stopped by on my way to the movies for the first time. The guy working was well aware that I was new to the whole scene and explained the way it works. I get to taste all the flavors, once I decide on a favor I grab a bowl (whichever size I want) and fill it with whatever flavor(s) I like and then the toppings - they charge by the ounce. I tried most of the flavors and fell in love with the Mixed Berry Tart. Since I was going to the movies very shortly I just wanted a little bit. I know everyone is crazy for the toppings but I still cannot wrap my head around toppings on my yogurt, one of these days I will have to give it a shot - someone needs to encourage me - hint, hint. Even though the place was hopping busy I was able to get in and out in 5-10 minutes with all my tasting.
