We stopped in here for some afternoon icecream after exploring Edgewater Public Market and I was not disappointed. I got cookie dough flavor and I have literally never seen so much cookie dough in icecream. It wasn't just chunks, it was the majority of the scoop! Maybe even a little too much? As much as I like cookie dough and as delicious as this was, I found myself wishing the ratio of icecream was a little higher

After dragon boat practice at Sloan's Lake (shoutout to Team Colorado RPT), we usually make our way to get a cup. Edgewater is a great place to hang with the team after practice and ice cream is a great way to cool down after a hot practice. Honey ice cream is a fave of ours and after having it at Happy Cones, other "honey like ice cream" have disappointed us. The Hokey Pokey is a top favorite of ours. We have tried other flavors but always come back to the Hokey Pokey. It's just a delicious flavor and I really like the texture and consistency of the ice cream with the toffee and honeycomb bits with each bite. Just so good. My bf and I usually order a regular to share and it's enough for the both of us.
Went to the Edgewater location. It's good but it's over priced. Adding an up charge for a cone is a little offensive, I understand the decorated waffle cone but not a simple cone. The quality feels good though. I wish the flavors were more inventive, maybe the type of cream is a constraint. The service was friendly and ambiance is decent on par with any other upscale ice cream joint. Would I return? Maybe... if I am nearby sure. Is it worth the detours no.
Hands down, one of my favorite Ice Cream shop in the Denver metro! It is very unique in the sense that they incorporate fresh fruit into the ice cream right in front of you! The New Zealand styled ice cream is super creamy and isn't too sweet. I am still a diehard for American styled ice cream and this place has awesome flavors like the Hokey Pokey which has sweet honeycomb candy mixed in the ice cream! Not a huge ice cream fan? They also have Milkshakes and Smoothies!!

So much to choose from which does create the mouth to being to water!!! And Wanting a bit of OHHH SOOO MUCH!! Yet I could not dismiss the young lady I saw thoroughly enjoy her Happy Cone a bit earlier, so INDULGE ME! And she did, OHHHH MYYYY GOODNESS!!! CREAMY, FULL OF TASTE, BECKONED MORE SAMPLES, (but it's sugar - my body does not resonate well, Yet, OHHHHH SO DELICIOUS) Including my Service Dog loving such delightful treats. The sheer magnitude is well present in large signage, tastings, Happy Smiles from crew members or in this case a single young lady who knew, Happy Cones could be addictive!! Happy Cones does have seating, or walk around, very colourful, signage is extremely appropriate and NO RUSH!! The later is ohhh soooo nice! Edgewater Public Market has something for everyone and YOU Can Spend a Day's wages easily! Plenty of seating and plenty more than eating, walk around, there is free WiFi, roof top, large patio for eating and having your dog sit with you, plus plenty of parking YET! ENJOY LIFE,
There is nothing more satisfying than the latest collab they had with Black Box bakery it's a croissant loaded with New Zealand Style Ice Cream. Coined by the owner and founder a real Kiwi Hap. The collab has ended but I have videos to show why I'm completely hoping this comes back. You can't use American ice cream simply because it's harder than the soft serve that's being used to load into the croissant. It's deliciously addicting! You can still grab the ice cream at their store in Edgewater!
Still amazing! I shamelessly bribed my preschool resistant 3 year old with promises of ice cream if he'd stay at school all day. Since I'm writing this review, he made it. I just love Happy Cones. Their ice cream is outstanding and their staff is always so friendly, especially the woman who helped us today!
Tasty good service and quick. It has casual ambiance. Was looking for something sweet that is refreshing but calorie safe. My small cup was perfect without additive sugar in it. Have you tried it?
Happy cones has delicious ice cream! I got the Hokey Pokey flavor and it is some of the best ice cream I've had. Will definitely be back to try the New Zealand style ice cream! Staff was super nice and was able to provide recommendations. You can also buy pints of ice cream if you want. Plenty of seating options indoors, as it's located in Edgewater marketplace!

Delicious and refreshing New Zealand style ice cream. They make it right in front of you. They use frozen fruit and ice cream and blend it in a special cone blender machine and it goes directly into the cone or cup. I chose the berry blend. It was good however I would skip the raspberry next time only due to the seeds. It was delicious regardless. Also they are accepting of all people and I greatly appreciate their sign at the entrance. Located inside Edgewater Public Market. They offer different sweet treats from regular ice cream, floats, vegan gelato and New Zealand style ice cream. They make their ice cream in house and you can sample their ice cream flavors but not their New Zealand flavors since it's made to order. New Zealand Ice cream: Raspberry Pineapple and Raspberry $5.99 each on a waffle cone for an additional $1 something. The winner was the Raspberry Pineapple! It had pieces of pineapple and it is the perfect combination of tart and sweet! read more
This place was pretty good! Got a sweet treat after lunch and it did not disappoint. The ice cream was super soft and delicious, however I am not a fan that they don't clean the machine after each order since bits and pieces of previous orders get into yours. I got a strawberry banana flavor but found bits of raspberry and pineapple from my friends ice cream who ordered just before me. The service was good though, very chill vibe. read more

Please t surprise. I was waiting for my Tesla to charge so I popped in here late on Sunday night. The lady at the counter gave me very good suggestions since I never had New Zealand style ice cream. I picked the raspberry pineapple and it was delicious! Creamy and tasty. I got a regular since small looked too small. Happy Cones is located inside the popular Edgewater Marketplace. We weren't feeling super adventurous and opted for the Hokey Pokey (vanilla with carmelized toffee honeycomb). The ice cream was super sweet and creamy - definitely satisfied our dessert cravings! You'll definitely get a better deal if you decide to buy a pint. What sets them apart from other ice cream franchises are their various flavors New Zealand style fruit ice cream. Staff were super friendly. read more
popped in here for the first time and was not disappointed! the woman working the counter was extremely friendly and helped us in all of our decisions. we each sampled a couple of flavors and i ultimately opted for the Tu Meke & Salted Caramel Oreo. The Tu Meke is vanilla with caramel, chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate covered waffle cone, and Hokey Pokey. I'd never heard of Hokey Pokey prior, which is a honeycomb toffee. Super yummy, but salted caramel oreo stole the show. I think about this scoop of ice cream on a regular basis. It was unreal!!! So much Oreo goodness. My friends agreed that it was the favorite flavor by far. You will not be disappointed. Super cute shop and very friendly staff. Every meal at edgewater marketplace should end here. read more
Feeling like flying to New Zealand but overwhelmed by how impossible that idea is? Fear not, for Happy Cones has just the New Zealand delight for you! Well, they advertise it as so, and as someone with zero New Zealand experience, I enjoyed it as so. Just take a look at their website, you're literally flying across the clouds so you can pretend you're flying to New Zealand. You're welcome. Anyways, my fiance got the New Zealand styled ice cream - pineapple flavored, I believe. It was so interesting! A blend of fruit and ice cream but not what you'd expect when growing up with traditional ice cream. I wasn't used to the texture and the fruit flavor is very rich. It was a crazy cool experience though! So I ordered the hokey pokey ice cream since it seemed more familiar to me, yet unique. And well - I know why they call it happy cones because oh boy oh boy was I happy. I will come back every time I'm in the area just to enjoy the sweet honey goodness of an ice cream. When I tell you it's good, it's not just an OMG good, it's a OMFG good. So tasty, sweet, and makes you understand why Pooh Bear is addicted to honey. If you're not feeling fruity, definitely get the hokey pokey and try your best not to do the dance after tasting this. read more

Dropped in for the croissant cones which were delicious! I loved my chocolate raspberry ice cream choice, but I just was wishing there was more of it. The size of the ice cream wasn't what I was expecting based off of everyone else's pictures and the company's pictures. Kind of a let down. My partner's ice cream was quite a bit bigger as well and we ordered different flavors but same thing. 10/10 recommend but hopefully they add more ice cream to even out the ratio to croissant/cone and make it more like they advertise. P.S mixed berry was even better than the chocolate raspberry! read more

When I saw Happy Cones, I was instantly...well...happy! A fun ice cream spot to try? Yes please! My sister was raving about the ice cream with the honeycomb in it and bought a pint to take home because she loves it so much. I decided to be basic and get a small cup of the cookies & cream. It was exactly as I expected it would be and exactly what I wanted in that moment. The service was also friendly, and if I lived nearby I'd definitely be making this a regular stop for my ice cream adventures. read more

As a fan of neighboring Black Box Bakery, I had to venture out to see their collaboration. I met up with my mom and a friend to try their New Zealand style ice cream served in a croissant cone. What a fun collab! I tried the strawberry ice cream, while my dessert companions each had the mixed berry. We decided to walk around Edgewater Market Place, and we should have asked Happy Cone for a commission as everyone was asking us about our treats! This dessert was definitely a conversation starter. And for good reason as it was really good. The ice cream went very well with the baked goods. Talk about a breakfast of champions. This is worth a trip over to the Sloans Lake area of Denver. read more

Visiting a friend in Denver, we stopped by this Edgewater Public Market that has all sorts of restaurants and quaint retail stores to peruse. We initially went here to try a bakery but they were sold out of most of their items but this New Zealand style creamery caught our eye. They have a machine that mixes sweet cream ice cream with your choices of frozen fruits. I had raspberry and banana while my friend ordered blueberry and banana. Both were fresh tasting with the real fruit added. The shop is really cute and offers smoothies, gelato, chocolates and more. Worth a try and worth a second try! read more

I LOVE the Edgewater Public Market, and regardless which one of the many great food options I select for my meal, I ALWAYS save room for a stop at Happy Cones. Always, and for good reason. This place rocks. Consistently a great vibe inside, friendly and energetic customer service. Plenty of tables inside the Market main space, along with outdoor tables in abundance. They have helped me survive the pandemic. The New Zealand style ice cream is both unique and spectacular, a different texture that needs to be sampled. Menu options vary, but they'll add fruit and flavors that will have you returning for more. I prefer the Salted Oreo Caramel, but everything I have tried has been awesome! Insider tip: get Happy Dust on your selection and you will thank me! read more

I love the ambiance at Happy Cones and the staff are very kind. The ice cream and shakes are delicious. I love the sign they had outside of the store as well as sent a strong and great message! I got the Hokey Pokey shake and my friends got different kinds of shakes as well. We loved our shakes and wish we could buy some ice cream to go but we were just visiting and leaving the next day. We're glad we came across this ice cream shop as I'd love to come back! read more
