Stopped here in Algonquin for some frozen yogurt on Veterans Day. It is bright, cheerful, and cute inside. I have never been here, but glad I came in. Basically you fill your cup up with your creation and it is weighted for purchase. I price is $0.71 per ounce. There are 14 different flavors of froyo to choose from and a generous variety of toppings to pick from. The machines are self serve and the middle handle will swirl the two flavors of that machine if you wish. It's sugar everywhere! Diabetics please don't hurt yourself in here. The kids love it here as I saw many rotate in and out during my short visit. I had pineapple and peach sorbet. It was so sweet, tangy, and flavorful. This is definitely the spot to satisfy any sweet cravings. I am going to come back especially when the weather is warmer. We stop here when in the area and craving FroYo. I love that they offer military discount. They usually have a sugar free flavor and a gluten free option too. I love that! The staff are always friendly. They are open pretty late too and it's right next to Crumbl cookie if you don't get your fill on sugar with the fro yo! read more

Solid froyo place near Randall Road, sandwiched between two other dessert places. They had two tables outside and several tables inside. It was busy inside but they had two cashiers there. I was glad they had some vegan/non dairy options but there were only 2. They have a lot of options for toppings, but their sour patch kids were stale. read more

The joy of Menchie is getting to try the little sample before you commit so you know you'll love what you are getting. This location said they aren't allowed to give samples at all. The new rule caused me to only risk three small portions instead of filling up a cup of what I knew I would liked so I suppose I saved money. Two of the three flavors were terrible as well. I come here atleast 2-3 times a week, sometimes I cut it close in time but have never been denied service. Today we arrived at 8:54 and the girls told us that they close in 2 minutes and that they will not serve us. As a self serve place it's a little ridiculous that they can't wait the extra 5 minutes to start their cleaning process while the store is full of customers and continue to serve. I've seen some Menchie's locations that are a little messy, which just makes it unappetizing, but the girl on staff was super friendly and was very on top of keeping the topping station and froyo station really clean. The flavors I tested were all good - except the cake batter - that was the only one I didn't care for. I thought it tasted like play-doh (and I LOVE cake batter ice cream). I really liked the strawberry and banana flavor. The low-carb pecan praline is also a flavor I really like. For toppings I loooove the mochi. I would've got fresh strawberries, but they didn't look that great. For two of the smaller sized cups, we paid over $8. My hubs piled toppings on his, which probably really weighed it down. A little on the pricey side, but I guess a Starbucks drink is $4 too. Will return! *Edit - I've been now coming here regularly and my 5-star rating still remains. This was probably the only place we went to during the quarantine just so we could get out of the house. It was slightly difficult to find through Google Maps but once we found it, we had no issues finding it again. It's in a plaza of other stores so there's a shared parking lot. It's also a plus that it's next to Nothing Bundt Cake. There's always a friendly face inside to greet you and during quarantine it's nice to let you know what their procedure is. After sanitizing your hands and grab some gloves, you can pick your bowl and get crazy with your frozen yogurt and toppings. One of my favorite new additions for toppings are the mochi! So delicious. We have been here several times and hands down, it is our most favorite fro yo place EVER. Love the atmosphere and decor. Lots of flavors of fro yo (that are ever changing) and plenty of toppings. Plus, little paper cups so you can try any (and all!) the flavors before you fill your bowl. My favorites and go to every visit - the peanut butter topping and the crumbled Reese's peanut butter cups - and I usually decide on cake batter or chocolate or banana or a combination of - fro yo. I must say that I was impressed last night with they way the 3 kids working at this shop handled themselves when a customer was harassing them over a receipt he wanted 20 minutes later for ice cream. The never lost their cool but you could tell they were uncomfortable. This kind of stuff really irritates me a great deal because this guy was a real tool and since the kids wouldn't tell him that I felt it necessary to step in and let this go know he was being a tool. Let me start by saying that we love your staff and yogurt and are frequent customers.... That being said, please please please be more attentive to kids reusing the same sample cups and touching the yogurt spouts with them after they've been in their mouths, licking the topping spoons and sticking them back into the toppings and using their hands in the fruit toppings and eating it. It's gross, not sanitary and will be the reason we stop coming in. You have great yogurt and a very friendly staff but over the last few months, the attention to these details and offenses have been lacking. I've had to stop a child from doing it twice and had to point out to the staff which toppings were affected. It will definitely turn me and my family off if we see it happen again. read more

I love the Swiss miss hot chocolate flavor PLEASE BRING IT BACK TO THIS LOCATION!!! This place is always good but would be better if they offered the hot chocolate flavor again! The store is always clean, bright, and cheery! They offering many toppings that are name brand (ex. Hersey kisses, Reese's, cool whip) so you know they are of quality. The staff is usually pretty friendly. All of the younger girls seem pretty shy but they will answer any questions you have and are friendly.
