We were very grateful to find Dr. Leo Menendez. We had consulted with another oral surgeon in Rockville the week before, but that provider did not take our insurance. All of the office staff at Dr. Menendez' office were great. They send text message appointment reminders. They were very clear up front about the charges for the procedures, and they accepted our insurance. I see other reviewers mentioning a long wait. On our first visit yesterday, after filling out the paperwork, we did wait about 45 minutes to be seen for the initial consultation. Today, when my husband returned for the procedure, he had a morning appointment and there was no delay. They are following all of the Covid-19 protocols. Dr Menendez was very clear about what he would be doing, and he met with us again after the extraction to show us the x-ray and to discuss post-surgery care and followup. I was very impressed with his clear, straightforward manner. If you are waiting, I am sure it is because he is dedicated to providing each patient with a high level of care. read more

Had an upper left wisdom tooth pulled because it was broken. This tooth was painful and couldn't be harder to reach. Dr. Leo Menendez put on an absolute clinic. Needle work was perfect. Timing perfect. Step by step, loosen tooth, drill for leverage, and extracted it like nothing. Problem solved. Was a masterful tactician and I was scared AF. 10 stars. My ranking is based on the service I received after my service was completed from the Billing Department. I had a tooth pulled around the end of January, it went as well as it could and if their collection practices were not so awful I would have given more stars. But I will never use their services again. I received a call 4 weeks after my extraction telling me that insurance did not cover the entire portion and I had a balance. She asked if I would like a statement and I said yes, and that I would schedule payment. The following week, first week of March I received 2 statements and 2 different collection letters. The following week I received another 2 letters and so far this week I have received another letter threatening legal action. All of this less than 30 days since I was made aware that I had a balance of only $120. When I called today, I was told by Pam that I would receive at least 1 letter and phone call each week. I guess I should be glad they only called once LOL. I paid them just to be done. But, I hope anyone reading this chooses another Dental Surgeon. Due to their practices I would NEVER recommend this office to anyone, You may have to wait an extra day to get into see Mennitt and Daly but at least you are not harassed constantly. read more

Very unprofessional office , I got there and waited for over a hour to see the surgeon . I left because I didn't like the professionalism. I then got a call later saying intern money. They should have informed me before I left . Then I got harassing calls asking when I was going to pay 14bucks. I asked why I was informed at the office and didn't they expect me to come back and pay a bill inward not informed of. I then reviewed a call while I was at work asking for payment and paid over the phone I ask for a confirmation or something and was decline . I'm glad I didn't get the work done at that office . I like my dentist but they gave me a bad referral I should have read the reviews first . They caught me on a good day or else I would have slam them for the bad customer service and I professionalism but I was busy working. read more

Very Bad customer service! I was referred here to have my wisdom teeth remove., so i called to make an appointment and the first thing the lady on the phone (her name is cathy) told me if she can put me on hold. I said its okay because i believed all health offices receives a lot of phone calls and its TOTALLY FINE FOR ME TO WAIT, but when she came back to me, i was still talking about appointments and i even have questions but even before i get to my questions she told me if i can talk faster BECAUSE she has other people on the other line!!! (very stupid move and unprofessional) I was like you know what its ok dont worry about it!! then i hang up the phone. Very unprofessional i literally held when cathy ask me to but why is she asking me to talk faster when it is my turn??!! i am a potential patient!! you making your office look bad because of your bad customer service.. so bad i have not able to meet Dr. Menendez i hope Dr. Menendez hires another people on the desk because they are pulling your patients away from you. If you want to waste your money and your pain to continue because Dr. Menendez doesn't take the time to properly assess TMJ disorder because of his unprofessionalism and arrogance, he's your guy. The misdiagnosis would be more forgivable if it hadn't been done out of arrogance and unprofessional attitude, if he had taken the time to actually examine me, instead of only looking at my xrays and predetermine his time was being wasted w/out examining my head and jaw, and then take that attitude out on a me, a patient that was in pain seeking to rule TMJ disorder in our out, it got erroneously ruled-out based on Dr. Menendez's incompetent diagnosis. (read my previous review, "why are you here" numerous times like he didn't even look at the paperwork I filled out for 10 minutes before he saw me), he would've diagnosed me properly if he had done his job and been professional, instead of acting like a jerk that was getting his time wasted, at MY $320 expense, and he didn't even take the proper time to assess and he misdiagnosed me. I have suffered from Dr. Menendez's misdiagnosis until I saw a specialist for the pain I continued to experience........ I had gotten a tooth extracted from Dr. Menendez that went well, but pain continued to follow, the dentist wanted me to get a TMJ syndrome assessment, Dr. Menendez happened to do that as well, I was more than happy to have him do it, because he seemed so competent w/the extraction. I got the xrays done, paid $320 of my own money, he was short and impatient with me, seemed very agitated like I was wasting him time, flippantly told me that I didn't have TMJ syndrome and referred me to somebody else... yeah, they told me today that they didn't care what he thought, I clearly have tension on one side that's not on the other, and you know what? he never touched my jaws to feel for any tension, he only looked at xrays. and what is so upsetting, was his attitude, telling me I didn't have it the way he did, to find out that I did, I absolutely don't recommend Dr. Menendez for TMJ syndrome assessment, he was unprofessional and incompetent about it. read more

Do not use this provider. Very unprofessional and fraudulent at best. I received a call from the Office stating that my daughter's insurance claim was denied due to her D.O.B being incorrect. The Account Manager refused to provide proof or the details to what was submitted. Fast forward (over a few months), I initially contacted the insurance company who didn't have a denial on the record. Months later, I finally spoke with a different person on the insurance company side who reviewed the actual submitted claimed and mentioned that the Provider never included the D.O.B. The provider was previously contacted by the insurance company to correct their error. The provider was told by myself on a number of occasions to do resubmit the claim and provide proof of doing so. The provider refuses to fix their error and instead continue to demand payment from my family for their incompetence. Looking at the other reviews, this behavior is consistent and the provider should be out of business. I wish I would have seen these reviews earlier. read more

Dr. Menendez did an okay job with removing my wisdom teeth however, I was forced to come back to fix the bone that he had broken in the midst of my wisdom teeth surgery and it took about a month to heal from everything I believe because Dr. Menedez was rushing. There were a few people on Dr. Menedez's team that were really nice and helpful however, after both of my surgeries I had issues with my prescriptions. After the initial wisdom teeth extraction, I was picking up my prescriptions for narcotics and antibiotics and after writing down all of my medical allergies, I was handed a prescription for penicillin (which I am allergic to) with gauze in mouth and the Novocaine wearing off I had to wait an additional 40 minutes to receive an updated prescription with for something that I am not allergic to. After the second surgery to remove the shattered piece of bone, I was provided with a prescription for narcotics however when I left and made it to the pharmacy, I was alerted that the prescription did not contain a date so they could not fulfill the prescription at that pharmacy. When I turned around to make it back to the office just one minute before the office was set to close, the door was locked and no one would answer. I tried calling the answering service to get this issue resolved but it took hours for them to get back to me. Fortunately after the bone extraction procedure I was fine with a few tylenol but it would've been a mess if I were in serious pain post-op. I would not recommend using this office for any additional procedures. read more

I went here two years ago and Dr. Menendez was very helpful and provided honest feedback so I decided to visit him again when my general dentist told me to see an oral surgeon for a consultation about my wisdom teeth. During this visit, Dr. Menendez was a completely different person. He got really nasty when I asked questions about the process. All I wanted was clarification! I was uncomfortable and was not going to let him put anything in my mouth! Maybe he was having a bad day. Not my problem! His staff said they would contact me about the costs and set up a day for the procedure. Since they wasted my time, I let them waste their time on getting the costs from my insurance co. When they called, I let the phone ring. My general dentist refereed my to Dr. Carl Ruderman in Riverdale, MD and he was great. read more

Dr Menendez is great! I love his staff. They were so friendly and helpful. They answered all my questions and did my extractions the same day. I sent my best friend to see him after I saw him and he treated her like family. read more
