    Thai Island restaurant

**"Thai-rrific Bites in Every Dish!"** I really enjoyed the **off-the-beaten-path location**--tranquil and perfect for a relaxed meal. The food delivered a **solid Thai experience**: no fireworks, but definitely no regrets either. **Highlights:** The **green curry was excellent**--rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced. The **spicy rice** stood out with just the right kick. **Room for improvement:** The **spring rolls** fell a bit short--lacking flakiness in the wrapper and could've used more filling. All in all, a **good spot for satisfying Thai flavors** without the hype. Would I return? For that curry, absolutely! -

We were in the area to try out the infamous wine window at Buchette Spritz Bar and looking for a place to eat dinner. We found this restaurant off Google and decided to try it out. It was very busy (Saturday night around 7pm). For drinks, we got the cold nigori sake bottle (plenty for 2) and reasonably priced. For food, we tried the tom yum talae (seafood) soup, beef pad see ew, and squid Panang curry. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. Would come back again!

I went to this restaurant and they were out of fresh rolls. Very disappointing!. The crab rangoon and the calamari had a nice batter which was good. I ordered the Thai Island rice and it was cold and tasteless. It tastes like oatmeal. I sent it back and got the pets to you and it was flavorless. I will never go back to this restaurant ever again. When it has the guy for a military discount he gave me an excuse then he would lose money. The funny thing is that he was in the Air Force and he still didn't give me a military discount. Another thing that turned me off

Excellent food! Such authentic Thai food and their service is super fast. Every worker there is so sweet and it's such a cute (very small) place to eat. Definitely won't find another like it nearby! Great for takeout as well.

The ambiance is simple at this small Thai restaurant. If you want the chance to try some authentic Thai food that tastes homemade, this is the place. Their menu is by QRC code, and it is nicely described for each plate. The portions are perfect for the price. Great flavor and value with the ability to try a few different items. I had lunch with my mom and sister, so we decided to share three salads for our table. We got the Nam Sod that had Minced pork, ginger, cilantro, spring onion, shallots, tossed with peanuts, and chili lime dressing. It was light, and the whole peanuts were toasted and crunchy surrounded by whole pieces of romaine lettuce. The Pla Koong (Shrimp Salad) had 4 large Grilled shrimps, shallots, lemon grass, shredded lime leaf, minced cilantro, and onion tossed with a homemade chili lime dressing. This was my favorite because it was on the spicy side and had so much flavor from the lemongrass. An off the menu item we ordered was a roasted Japanese Eggplant Salad with steamed Calamari rings. The cold broth was light and had lots of red onion slices, which also had large Romain lettuce leafs in the bowl. They no longer have lettuce wraps on their menu, but these 3 salads were served with enough romaine lettuce to be a good substitution. Technically, there was no salad dressing, but the cold broth at the bottom of the bowl was so different and delicious for each of the salads. I would definitely come back again, but maybe at an off dining hour as there is no parking at this place, and it is quite difficult to find any parking on the street.

Dinner time on a weeknight and I sat outside right away with no wait. Food came out fast with no mistakes. In my opinion the pad thai could stand to be less sweet. Otherwise the quality of the food was great. Bigger portions would be welcomed for the price. Bonus points for walkability from the hospital.

My first impression was this place is unique. Hours posted on line said 48 minutes to close for dinner but when we got there they were kinda rushing us so they could close. The food wasn't the Thai flavor we are accustomed to but we ate it. They guy was very nice and explained the sauces and dessert but probably won't come back.

Great family restaurant in a walkable area. Food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Please support this business. We ordered the crab Rangoon, spicy rice with chicken, and Phanaeng curry.

Let me start by saying......being from Chicago, maybe I'm spoiled...but pick a dish and we have some of the best anywhere..... that said....the dish I order(host recommendation) included shrimp, chicken and ham....the first indicator was only 1 small piece of shrimp in the whole dish.... It was "good" but not convinced it was fresh, rice was ok, upside was cashews....but overall......ok...

I'm glad I came a bit after the lunch crowd because parking in this area is always a nightmare with all of the other office space and restaurants right next door. To my surprise it was just me and 1 other guy in the entire restaurant. Now, it was a day after Easter at like 2pm, but still. I like how the bar area is divided between partly being inside and partly being outside. I decided to sit outside and enjoy the weather. It was a perfect 80 degree day. Up first, I had the $10 Spicy Edamame. I thought it was highly average. Not particularly spicy, and not particularly tasty. I wouldn't get this again. Then, I tried a $9 gyoza. Pretty standard as it should be. For the main course though. Wow, oh wow. I love me a great smoke show. The $22 Screaming Chicken Comes out absolutely screaming with smoke, steam, and sizzle. I loved the presentation. Then, they pour the hot sauce ontop of the meal and BOOM more sizzle!!! I asked for extra hot Thai spicy. The bartender laughed at me when I asked if I needed to sign a waiver. I said, ok so good to know it won't actually be spicy. I didn't even sweat eating the screaming chicken. I loved this dish and would absolutely come back for it again. For dessert, I'm a huge sucker for any donuts on a menu so I got the $8 Thai donuts. YES! I love the caramel sauce they are dipped in. I could eat these all day. Solid spot with lots of potential!

I was with some friends my friends like Todd I love Thai so there we go. It's nearby the hotel and we're staying on and I haven't had time in a minute so here we go. The prices were affordable the ambience I love the decor inside and outside they even have a little fish aquarium and a water fountain. I drank the Thai tea was delicious and the mango sake strongly recommend and the pad Thai shrimp definitely sweet definitely spicy. There was hardly any left overs that the food was that good. My friends and I have a great time there as I am the staff was friendly We did not have to wait super long for the food and it was hot. I was highly pleased with the customer service dining experience that I received for the first time at this establishment. I highly recommend that you check out this restaurant whether you're on a lunch break visiting friends family check them out and the photos attached to just review.

All curries were good, but the panang was the standout at our table (we ordered panang, massaman, and green). This place is so pretty inside. Service wasn't exactly slow, but it had a weird pace. Like, if you came during your lunch break you'd have enough time, but you probably wouldn't get a drink refill and your entree would come out maybe a minute after your appetizer, and you wouldn't get the first drink you ordered til after all the food was on the table.

Nothing fancy, but nice. As my wife is part Thai, we ordered some of our go to favorites. For drinks, we started with a Thai tea. I've had my fair share of Thai tea, and this one was good! So refreshing! For meals, we typically share a meal, but this time we couldn't decide between chicken pad Thai or beef Thai basil.. so we got BOTH! Portions were good! We ended up killin' the pad Thai, and saved the Thai basil for later. Pad Thai was very flavorful and the Thai basil had a nice kick. But we couldn't stop there! My mom, my aunt, and my brother-in-law all chose noodle dishes with meat, so I couldn't taste them, but they liked their meals. We got the vegetable spring rolls, which came with plum sauce. It was a good appetizer, but nothing unique. The fried tofu was also good, but I wasn't a fan of the peanut sauce that came with it. I really liked the ginger tofu., but my sister says she would have preferred something a bit less intensely gingery. And I'm glad my sister and I shared because the portions are pretty generous. Everyone else had leftovers to bring home. It's not the best dining experience, but the food is good enough, and the service is courteous and attentive. The next time I visit my mom, if she's in the mood for Thai, I'd go there again.
