After my disappointing experience at MLDG, I sought treatment from another dentist for teeth #20 and #19. Tooth #20: In October 2025, I received a root canal and the tooth was prepared for a crown. My dental records contain no notes indicating that I might need an implant. Dr. Malik told me the procedure was successful and that the tooth was ready for the permanent crown, stating it should last for years. However, after seeking a second opinion, I was told that tooth #20 lacks sufficient structure and that I need an implant. I have since been referred to a prosthodontist for further evaluation and continued work. Tooth #19: there was decay on this tooth, and Dr. Malik recommended an onlay, which I proceeded with in October 2025. However, the second dentist determined that the tooth actually required a crown, which I ultimately had placed with them. Based on this, the onlay that Dr. Malik did was unnecessary.

The office itself is clean, fresh, and welcoming--not scary at all, which says a lot when you're bringing kids. I want to especially highlight Ms. Diana, because she was truly the reason I chose to come here in the first place. With no bias at all, I'm genuinely glad she told me about this office. The second time they called me two days prior and confirmed my insurance. I show up to my appointment and they said they cannot see me because I'm pregnant. They would need a letter from my OBGYN clearing me. I told them don't you guys have xray shields for pregnant women? They said yes but they cannot see me without a letter. I said these are screening questions you need to ask your female patients prior to booking the appointment. She said they can't assume people are pregnant. I said that is why it's called a screening. I asked for my card and ID back and left. They didn't bother to ask me about rescheduling. I would not recommend this place due to their lack of communication and professionalism. If I am one pregnant woman that is being turned away due to their lack of communication and protocol, I can only imagine future pregnant women. This is not standard to require clearance for a basic dental cleaning. I would understand if a procedure was being done but there wasn't. I only wanted a cleaning.

The other thing is that I was given options and a clear explanation of costs ahead of time. There was no pressure, just helpful guidance so I could decide what felt right. Then I met Annmarie, the dental hygienist, who was incredibly gentle but also very thorough. After that, I had my visit with Dr. Tran. I did end up needing some work done, and they were able to take care of it right then and there. Bre came back in to explain what needed to be done and walked me through the process, including setting up a payment plan. She was so helpful and made everything stress-free. My appointment ended up taking longer than expected, but Dr. Tran stayed after to make sure everything was done perfectly and that I was fully taken care of. That meant so much to me.
