This place is ridiculous with the price they pay for Metal. One cent per pound. Not even worth the hauling to take it there. Worst part is they dump it before you can even ask for it back and take it elsewhere. This place was great. Martinez behind the counter was super nice. I didn't have my coupon and since it was my first time there he said not to worry and still gave me the coupon price. You don't need to remove all the caps from plastic bottles as long as they're empty. My kids helped me and some of the plastic was mixed together. Martinez separated the bottles and was super nice the whole time. They're super efficient and I will definitely be back. read more

I love coming to this place!!! I am able to use my coupons and there are plenty of available recycle bins to use. The staff are friendly and the environment is clean. This place takes an abundance of recycling materials that other places don't take. They have convenient hours and practice safe Covid precautions by wearing masks regularly. read more

Took my recycling to Menlo's today and got the best service as always in the few times I've come here since the one closest to where I live closed down. Martinez is the nicest person to deal with and is always friendly. The only issues I ever have are dealing with the rude people who come to bring their recycling. read more

I only take in my recyclables once or twice a year. I was very excited when this location opened as it is near where I live and there are coupons in the pennysaver. The past two times I went, I was "helped" by the staff named Maria Morales. The first time, I did not take it personal and wrote it off as her having a bad day or going through hormone issues. She began mumbling in Spanish and I tried to be helpful by asking her how I needed to sort the plastic for future reference as I really did not know. She became irritated and never answered me. Then she yelled in Spanish at a male coworker and said, "Estupido!!! Ya o no?" The male never answered and continued to look down at the counter. He avoided eye contact with me even while processing my transaction. It may be obvious to most that I do not speak Spanish, but I know what estupido means and she was making reference to her opinion of me. I took my cash and left. Fast forward to today and the same person helped me. She became irritated as soon as she saw me (now I know it had to be personal and/or racial). She made it a point to smile and greet all the customers behind me who happened to be Hispanic. She did not say one word to me and rushed me through as if she wanted me out of her sight. I thought of calling and complaining about her, but I will just pray for her. I know she needs the job even though she does not deserve it. I noticed that the Pennysaver ad for this recycling center is encouraging us to support local businesses. If they are going through a slow period, and the manager or owner reads this, it is important for them to know that it is not just the area the center is located-it is the attitude of their employees. For me in particular, I will drive to a further recycling center just so I don't have to feel the way this Maria Morales has made me feel the past two times. Never again! read more

This place is Racist as hell !! 10/31/18 2:00pm The Latino guy behind the counter takes out every last one of my recycling bottles and throws them on the ground, leaves about 5 bottles left , apparently they had a little bit of water or soda in them left ? He gives me money for the ones left on the ground so I say " what are you going to do with those bottles on the ground ? and he says " you can pick them back up if you want to" so Rude! And I had my child with me he had me picking up dirty bottles off the ground ! He could have atleast told me it was water in them or told me to pour it out he didn't have to say pick your bottles back up with a chuckle as if it was funny, is it because I'm black? Absolutely underpays the value of your recycling. I can get past that.....after all....I don't have to go there anymore (and I'm not) but I can't let the absolute 100% most rudest and disrespectful customer service I've ever seen just about anywhere. Been there a few times and every single time it's met with silence, rudeness, and just an awful experience. If they are that miserable there.....they need to find a new line of work. I wanted to give my true reflection of service at this location. There are a few older negative reviews about the service at this location but I have been coming here for a couple of years now and have never had a negative transaction. The employees here seem very courteous and today they pointed out that I was putting a more expensive recycled item with the regular items. The employee Mr. Martinez assisted us by emptying all 8 trash cans of recyclables to remove the more expensive items which put more money in our pocket, now that's service. Please don't be swayed by the older reviews, give'em a try. read more

This place used to be favorite place until I went in without my glasses on when I got home three receipt said I only had 23 pounds of cans when I went back to question them they they told me they already dumped my cans I told them they are crooks I won't go there ever again I thinking will stand out front with a sign to warn other people to watch them when they weigh there stuff read more

I just moved to mo vall and thought I would try this recycle center. I currently do a lot of solar work and have a good amount of copper cut offs.DONT RECYCLE COPPER HERE. They only give you 2.00 - 2.20 a pound for bright and shiny. Also the old ugly Mexican lady is a bitch. I think her name is Maria. And watch out when the son is behind the counter. He will rip you off more. I don't understand how places like this stay in business or why people continue to take their recycle here. Never ever again. F those people. read more

Rudest bunch of people ever, I took my cans there with one of there coupons from there own website which they would not accept then they decide to insult me by saying I don't know how to read when I was reading menlorecycling.com on one of there signs.
