Have patience when coming here, you will most likely be in line waiting for a spot. When you do get a spot, secure your containers and transfer your cans and bottles separately....then stand in line to be weighed in, then go to the counter to get your receipt, they give you a "club card" to get a better price per pound. Then go to the payout window...your done! Money in hand and now get yourself some lunch!

This morning I went with 17 bags of recycling, mostly plastic bottles. 3 of my bags had a few aluminum cans mixed in. I've done this many times and never had a problem, but today was different! Suddenly, they decided to enforce the rule about items being sorted, although they never have in the past. I've been there on a Saturday morning, with a line of cars waiting out in the street, and watched people sort whole trash cans of items and nobody said a word to them. But today, which wasn't crowded at all and there were empty spots to pull in, my few cans mixed in became a huge problem, so that the workers had to come over and chatise me 4 times. It's not like my recycling was all unsorted! There were just a few cans mixed into a couple of bags, out of 17! There I was, a 60 yr. old woman, unloading my bags quickly, while 4 young workers stood and watched me empty every bag. Not once did they offer to help! You would of thought they could have provided good customer service to a VIP customer and just explained that the sorting policy is now being enforced, and asked that I make sure to do it on my next visit, which I would have gladly done. They could have even provided excellent customer service by helping me out, instead of standing around watching me, just waiting to pounce! I guess being a VIP customer at Cans Plus Recycling doesn't mean that you'll be treated well!

Many other recycling centers I checked on Yelp were closed on Sundays. Three men worked there. They seemed very nice. One little problem I had was I struggled a little to find them because the map app directed me to this plaza and I even started driving down the back looking like alley but didn't initially see anything because they weren't open yet. After my first visit here, I will be returning but after reading the other reviews, I agree to save time by sorting glass, plastic bottles, and cans separately at home and we wouldn't have had to sort them there. Also Sapporo beer cans have to be separated from shorter soda cans. I do like that their scale is out in the open for you to see but I didn't get a copy of the receipt. I mean he showed it to me to sign and I got $13.25 crisp new bills for about 5-6 white trash bags of glass bottles/cans/plastic bottles. Bring your own wipes or some water to wash your hands if you have to sort your bottles/cans. Can get sticky.

I went here on a Saturday afternoon thankfully after they had returned from lunch and man they move a lot of volume. There was probably about 3 people ahead of me with large amounts of recycle. Thankfully I was able to get in and out in total under 30min or so. They also give you cash on the spot. Word to the wise sort your recycle at home before you come, it will make your time quicker and a lot smoother. That's what I had done. It allowed me to skip most of the people as they still needed to sort their materials. Also I did a rough count of my items before hand and while I was packing them into the barrels and the math seemed about right. Give them a shot for your bottle and can recycling needs.
