Went in to buy a tie for a graduation and ended up standing in line for 15 minutes while the cashier repeatedly left the register to help one customer with every little request. She abandoned the counter three separate times without asking coworkers for help or having the customer step aside so others could check out. No apology, terrible service, and I left without even getting a tie. Will never step foot here again. read more

Bizarre experience. I had an order reserved for my 6 groomsmen for my wedding. I called to confirm the order twice over the course of two months before the pick up date. Both times I called, employees sounded oblivious to how this process works and were generally rude on the phone. On top of that, I had to call several times to ever get through to an employee to pick up the phone. When I went in person to the store, two employees were standing behind the register, not doing anything while phones were ringing they chose not to answer. One of them was a middle aged woman who was scowling at me for no reason. They didn't even say hello or ask how they can help. For context, there was no one even shopping in the store. After I explained I had a reservation, a woman brought out the suits and stood dumbfounded behind the register for a good 10 minutes while she told me "the system was down." She said it in a way as if I could give her a solution. There was no apology or alternative given to me. Eventually she told me I could leave with the suits and she'd enter in the info manually later. Some of my groomsmen who picked up suits also said they had strange experiences with employees who clearly didn't want to help them. I've never had such an off-putting experience in any retail store, and especially wouldn't have expected it at a suit rental. read more

We booked a 2:20 pm appointment and even arrived early. Despite several employees being present, there was no greeting, no hi, no smile. We walked through the store confused until we checked in at the cashier. The male associate told us appointments don't matter and that people usually just walk in. That was already strange, but worse, he simply handed us a booklet and told us to just read and let me know, offering minimal explanation or assistance. The rental booklet was printed on a thin paper and disorganized, making it difficult to distinguish items, colors, and vests. When we asked which options were tuxedos versus suits, we were again told to "just read it." We were also told they don't assist with fittings or measurements even though that was the entire purpose of the appointment. When we questioned this, we were accused of wanting measurements just to rent elsewhere. I pointed out his rude attitude, but instead of listening, he talked back and became even more dismissive. The in‑person experience was completely different from what the website promised. We didn't get his name but this happened on Sunday, Nov 23rd, 2025, the only male associate at the cashier (wearing an AirPod in one ear). He demonstrated dismissive and unprofessional behavior that completely ruined our visit. We came ready to spend money, as busy individuals and last minute important event, renting seemed smarter for our tight schedule, but we were also open to purchasing if the service had been better. Unfortunately, this employee's attitude and lack of professionalism damaged the entire experience. Not sure if this is just how they treat customers, or cause we don't look a certain way. This kind of service harms the company's reputation, and we would never patronize or spend a single dime at this store or any other location, and we will advise our party to do the same. read more

Not a good experience here. The rules are ridiculous. Very overpriced with no veteran discount. I had 6 groomsmen who were veterans stand up with me and not any kind of discount was offered. I had others who lived far away from a store location and the stupid rule that they needed to get fitted within one month of setting this up was just not possible. No flexibility here. Place is a shithole. They charge $300 to rent a "nice" tux and even after measuring me for 30 minutes for literally everything - tux came in and looked like I got it at Goodwill. My pants and shirt were both way too big. My jacket was actually 5 inches too long on the sleeves and then they gave me $21 back as a "refund". So I paid $280 to look like a moron. I should have put a sign on my forehead that said "I know it's a rental, I'm a moron". read more

I came to this Men's Warehouse location from Brodie Lane spot because I was told it had a larger selection of items. Yes, it has a larger selection of items to choose from. Plenty of suits, jackets, shirts, etc. As soon as I walked in, I was made to feel welcome, special and appreciated. Nice. Measurements taken. Conversation friendly. All good. Tried on a couple of jackets and found one that made do. That is when things changed. I happen to look at price point. It was way more than I wanted to spend. At $450 for a blue classic blazer it was just not in my budget. I asked the associate for budget friendly options. That is when I got the look. You all know the look; no eye contact and facial expression of you are wasting my time. Make a long review short; the associate made me feel not welcome, not special and not appreciated. There was no one in the store at 10:30 am on a Tuesday morning. I was not depriving him of making a sale from other shoppers. But making me feel uncomfortable was rude and plain bad business. While I do not usually buy suits, jackets on a regular basis anymore. I do buy dress slacks and shirts regularly. I ended going to the competition for my purchase. I am not one to tell people "don't shop here". But I am one to tell people you will feel uncomfortable if you do not buy something. The funny thing about this experience is that if I did not find a jacket for this function at other clothing stores. I would have come back and made the purchase. read more

I wanted to write and thank Dana at the Men's Warehouse in Gateway Square Shopping Center for being incredibly helpful during my recent experience at this location. I had a sudden funeral to attend on Sunday and was able to come in and be fitted for a suit by Dana on Saturday, the same day I called. She also helped me choose and purchase a belt, tie, dress shirt, and shoes. The location was busy, with multiple appointments overlapping with my time there, but Dana was efficient and thorough. She even went the extra mile and called a local tailor to see if they were available for same day alterations, which they were able to provide for me. So thank you so much, Dana, and Men's Warehouse for making a pretty abysmal weekend a little bit better and a whole lot easier and less worrisome. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. They say you can return or exchange within 90 days if you're unhappy with their clothes but if you do they try to refuse by saying there's no tag, which their policy doesn't stipulate needing tags, then default to "it looks worn". We called and made a wedding consult appointment at Mens Warehouse. When we got there, there was a line. I went to the door and told them we had an appointment. She said we had to wait in line, so we waited patiently in line for 30 minutes. Got to the door, find out that they crossed my name off the list. They asked for my name, so I pointed at the list. She rudely says "okay come in". Then we wait around and she comes back up to us and asks why we're here. We told her we're here for a wedding consult. She said they don't have enough staff, so they can't do the consult even WITH THE APPOINTMENT FOR A CONSULT. So we browse around and a staff member starts helping us and talking us through everything. Then, conveniently, another rep comes up to her and says "they need you up front." They could have told us they can't do wedding consults today (1) either of the two times we called for the appointment, or (2) when I came to the door and said we had an appointment. read more

i purchased suit and shirts on 8/23 with total amount of $806. upon checkout i requested a ' suitbag' as is customary in past purchases. i was given clear plastic cover - similar to dry cleaning pickup. upon further request for zippered garment bag , i was curtly told by manager that these were not provided anymore and i could purchase for $40! these garment bags are #2.50 buying from U-line. i will not be returning to south mall store and noted prices are near equivalent at League of Rebels or even Bonobos if you include tailoring costs. I usually don't do reviews but this mens wearhouse has horrible service, don't even try to call because nobody is going to answer your phone call, and the ladies that were "helping" us had very bad attitudes. When my fiancé's groomsmen went to pick up their suits all of their suits were messed up the jackets and vests were too big ok everyone and the pants were too long. Doesn't make sense to get the guys measurements if the measurements come all wrong, when asked to change the sizes of their jackets we were told no twice by the two ladies that work there until a guy helped us and was able to change their jackets. They even put my brothers tux and my dads tux together wile everybody else's tux were put in separate bags. read more

We didn't have a good experience with Men's Wearhouse. It was fine in the beginning but picking up the suits, all the men's shirts were way too big even though they were supposedly fitted. The men had to go out and buy new ones because the ones provided weren't good. I emailed that in a complaint and they dealt with it but we'll see if there's follow through. My fiance's jacket was also not fit well and when he went back to get it fixed or changed, they said there was nothing they could do. Maybe there really wasn't but they could pretend to care. And they don't give a free suit to the groom unless the wedding party is a certain size, which seems silly. For the amount you pay to rent the suit or tux you would think they could give one for free. They did deal with some problems pretty quick, but overall I wouldn't recommend them. read more

My fiancé and I dragged my father in to at least look at suits for our upcoming wedding to get an idea of what he would be willing to compromise and wear. My dad was set in his ways of wearing a Texas tuxedo of jeans and a suit jacket, but after Alfredo showed him just how nice he could look in a full suit that was actually his size and fit him perfectly with only needing to be tapered but still wearing his boots my father quickly changed his mind. Alfredo was able to take a very stressful experience and make it into an experience my dad actually enjoyed and felt comfortable in which is very hard to do. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I NEVER write reviews. This was the worst customer service I can remember receiving. It took hours of waiting before fitting my son for his tux rental. We were there on a Sun and his event was Wed. We were assured it would be ready by Tue. Tue comes and goes and we hear nothing. My son stopped by Wed morning, they made him wait AGAIN and then said come back in an hour and we will have your tux ready. He does that and it's still not there. I had to call in multiple times and was just told the truck driver was sick yesterday and that's why the tux didn't arrive. Please. Finally ended up getting him his tux about an hour before he was supposed to be at the event. Never again will I go back here. read more

Let me tell you, after visiting 4 places to find a suit and no one wants to help this days, I walk in to men's Wearhouse hopping somebody anybody will just try to help me, I was greeted by George asking me how can he help me, so I began to tell him my frustrations he said let's start by measuring you so we can find the proper suit for you, after that everything was super smooth he asked me if I had any color,or style preferences, then he went on a search to find me 4 to 5 suits for me to try, that's not all he recommended shirts, pants, shoes to go with my pants even after I told him I was going to buy my shoes somewhere else. His response was I just want you to look sharp for your special occasion. Amazing customer service, amazing talent he has the passion to help everyone. That's the kind of people that make me want yo come back to this store. I came in to Men's Wearhouse at Barton Creek Square Mall to purchase a couple of suits and a few shirts for a new position that I had just taken at my place of employment. Josh helped me pick a few suits out and a few shirts and we put the order in. One of the suits was unavailable and was going to need to be ordered from their warehouse. I was told that they would have it in by December 31st which was great because I had a NYE event that evening at my place of employment. When I called on the 31st, I was told they had not arrived and that they would "be in whenever Josh told you." I guess they don't have any way of looking up to see when an order will be ready? I then gave the store another week to get the order in and when I arrived to the store on the 8th they said that Josh had forgotten to put one of the orders in. Luckily they just happened to have the one they were ordering already in stock. Josué was very helpful and unfortunately had to receive the brunt of my frustrations. I asked them to throw the tailoring in for free since they had made so many mistakes, I was given one suit tailoring free but still had to pay for the other one. On top of that Josh had not given any notes or instructions about me wanting a slim tapered pant tailoring done on both pair of pants....just not a good experience. My suggestion would be to not put too much stock into the date that they say your order will be ready. Just assume that there will be little communication and what communication there is will be incorrect. read more

I went here with my boyfriend to pick up a suit for a groomsmen in a wedding we're attending. We floated around the middle of the store for about 8 minutes until someone came to ask us what we needed. He said he'd go grab the suit for us but never came back. 10 more minutes go by of us aimlessly browsing and touching pocket squares as we wait. Finally a new guy, Gerald, came and asked us what we were waiting for and he promptly went to get the suit. He rang us up quickly and we were on our way. The worst salesman ever. If zero stars was on option I would do that. Went in for a simply summer suit to wear to an evening wedding event and was told they have nothing. I even showed a pic of exactly what I needed. Once again the salesperson was put out that I even asked a question. He said "we have nothing" As I stormed out the store I pointed out at least 20 things that could have worked. Went back to store about 20 minutes later and showed the manager on duty the sales receipt from another store in which I purchased the easy to find summer suit. What a terrible experience. I will never go back. Manager never said one single word, absolutely not one single word. No one cares in that store so why support them. Ok, the owner messaged me a cut and paste response. Big deal. I truly should've read the comments prior to coming here. I came in needing pants for a jacket. The female employee was nice. Took care of my needs when it came to getting the correct pants. I'll give her that. When I come back to get my pants (after having them fitted) the tailoring was off, they didn't do a proper job at all. I told her, she said they'll have it fixed. So I left while they fixed it, I came back to pick them up, they were already in a bag ready to go, didn't even ask to see if I could look at them to see if they were fixed (unprofessionalism at its best). The right leg was fixed then I get home to see the left, that one indeed also had a hole in the fitting. I decided to give them to my tailor who actually does an outstanding job. Poor service, not worth the money, this was my first time and will be my last. Furthermore the "buy one get one free" trap, don't fall for that. I did, sadly bc I was also in a hurry but realized I paid over 250 dollars for one pair of pants that apparently the second should have been free. Go somewhere that will treat you with respect and truly do a good job not this unprofessional environment. read more

The employee named, Shawn, at the Barton Creek Mall location was absolutely amazing. I was struggling to find a good fitting suit that was within my budget all day. Upon asking Shawn for help, he immediately brought me over to the suits and asked me what size and color i was looking for and gave me personal opinions about colors, and how the 2 suits I tried on fit me. Overall Shawn was able to provide me a very comfortable shopping experience because he was able to talk to me on a friendly personal level about school and what I needed the suit for. He was quick to find me a great fitting suit and respected the budget I had and I could see he cared about how he was helping me. He even was able to quickly get me a tailor and give me a specific time and date to come back and get my tailored suit. It's really disappointing when you think you had great customer service only to find out you didn't. We ordered a suit in February. Was told multiple times it would include the pants, vest and jacket. Matched the back of the vest to the lining of the jacket. Did all the sizing, everything. Again, told multiple times it would include, jacket, vest and pants. Ended up moving to Michigan a month later and had it shipped, went to pick it up today and found a vest was never ordered and would have to pay another $105 for it. I've been to other locations of Mens Wharehouse and this one does the best tailoring. Mens Wharehouse is awesome for budget suits and competitive on most major brands (Macy's, express, JCPenney, etc). If you want a good suit on a budget get a closeout or wait for a buy one get one sale and get the best tailoring you can (I had them size me then order me a closeout suit for $120). They also do custom made suits at competitive prices. (I have Purchased 7 suits from location to date and about 4 at another location in town). My tailoring runs about $20-80 per suit. read more

A few things you should know about my husband: 1. Once nominated to be on What Not To Wear. 2. Wore Birkenstocks to our wedding. With a tux. 3. Claimed shirts could not be found to fit his "Italian neck." So it was with some trepidation that I shadowed him to Men's Wearhouse on a quest for new dress clothes. We were quickly greeted by David Peerson, who jumped to our rescue upon a rapid assessment of the "deer in the headlights" look I'm sure we both had. Before long, David had ferreted out our needs and had my husband in the dressing room as he efficiently snagged shirts, suits, sport coats, and pants for my patient husband to model. A couple hours later, we emerged exhausted but exhilarated, with two suits, a sport coat, a variety of shirts in a muted rainbow of colors, several pairs of pants, and even a pair of shoes that - miraculously - make my husband look neither like a duck nor a 90-year-old (which is more than can be said for the rest of his shoe wardrobe). Our wallets were significantly lighter, but much heavier than they could've been, thanks to a promotion they were running that offered 50% off in exchange for charitable donations of gently-used business wear. If David would just practice saying, "Shut the front door!" he might have a career on TLC. read more

What the Yelp? Why are there so few reviews about a place like this that has been in business for so long (it is one of the many that have not gone under, and I can see why). I know this is a long one but it is necessary! I made my husband go to the mall because he needed new pants badly (his other pants had busted seams and ripped out areas that did not need exposure). He is like many men, he refuses to shop for himself and does not enjoy it to begin with, especially when it comes to clothes. He is in between so many sizes and leg lengths that it becomes quite a job rather than just shopping. After seeing what is out there, I cannot blame him, it is not easy to find the right pants. So last Thursday night, my poor husband and I had been at the mall for 2 hours looking at the same, painfully boring men's pants. There are only so many times you can look at the same Dockers and not get underwhelmed.. Nothing was jumping out at my husband. The mall was literally only opened for five more minutes and after 7 stores and the try-ons, and the all too frequent sighs of disappointment, we were really at a loss. It seemed inevitable that this mall visit would be a fail. Then, we saw the store as we were on the way to leave the mall. We knew they were literally closing but saw the sale sign for buy one get one free (for pants) so we figured we could at least try it. I knew once we went in there that we should have gone to this place in the beginning. The manager Randy (tall man with strong green eyes that looks like a coach because he has been one) and Matt (also very impressive and fantastic) welcomed us right away despite our tired, rushed appearance and timing. The mall was closing. I have worked in a mall and was always ready to leave when the mall closed, so I felt bad that we had barged right in before closing time. They did not mind. We ended up getting Charlie 2 wonderful pairs of slacks that were also tailored and ended up being exactly what he was looking for. Nice lightweight pants that can be durable and withstand the Austin Summertime heat. This store offers many free services as well once you are a customer should you need a length adjustment for example. I cannot thank Matt enough. He was giving us a 150% even after the mall was officially closed. Randy was terrific as well. Their customer service strategy was outstanding and we were so thankful to be able to have his pants ready the next day which was just in time for what he needed them for (work). This is a solid store. We did pay a bit more than what we planned but in the long run we actually got an excellent value for pants of such quality. As the commercials state, too, they "guarantee" their work and clothing. They also sell shoes there. This is a fantastic sale they have going on, and I highly recommend this store to any man in need of what they offer. The variety of slacks are great and they can order for you as well should they not have a color right there. They are willing to help anyone at any time. I would give this store 100 stars if I could. I read Ardie's review, and am really sorry his experience was that way, however, it seems like he had a lot going on in those 2 days, and I hope he can one day consider possibly going back.
