I confess to being somewhat of a retail snob. I like great service and even better merchandise. Given that attitude, you might guess I'd have a different rating for this well know retailer. Well, we'd both be underestimating this store. Before Christmas I needed a red dinner jacket to play an updated Santa. I found nothing at any other retailer here or in Chicago. Until I tried Men's Wearhouse. The really helpful staff showed me just what I needed. While they didn't have my size in stock, they did have my size in a different color so I could avoid ordering the wrong fit. Then when ringing it up, we discovered that it was going on sale the next day. They gave me the lower price and had it delivered to my home in 4 days. read more

One star may be an over-rating. Store looks nice and inside is well kept and organized. One of the worst customer experiences I can recall. I needed to be measured three separate times. I was called down to try on the suit, they had me try on someone else's tux and then told that they didn't have my info and had to re-measure me. I was late returning the suit as they were closed by the time I tried to return the next day; I will own that one. When I asked to wave late fee, due to the difficulty of needing to come down three separate times for measurement, they would not. Not once was accountability for the lack of organization taken, but rather displacement of fault; I will never go back there nor would I recommend this particular location to anyone. A very close friend passed away over the holidays and I was faced with preparing for his funeral. I decided I needed a suit, and I haven't had one in many years. I wasn't particularly looking forward to the process, but I had had a couple good experiences with Men's Wearhouse over the years, so I decided to give this location a try. When I got in, I was immediately greeted by staff asking if I needed help. Soon after, a manager there (Corvan) started the process. He asked some basic questions and got us immediately started on checking out some styles and fits. It turned out to be an excellent experience beginning to end. We found a suit I really liked, they took the measurements, and despite it being less than a week before the funeral, they assured me the alterations would be done by the day before. And they were. I added a couple shirts and a couple ties to my order and all in all, I was really happy. I got numerous compliments on my suit. Moreover, the service was a great mix of being helpful without being pushy. Genuine and laid back. I had promised my wife I'd at least check out one other place before making a decision, so I also ran across to Joseph A. Bank. That experience, which I'll probably go into more detail in a separate review, paled in all comparisons. read more

It has been several years since my husband and I crossed the threshold of Men's Warehouse on Port Washington Rd in Glendale. That was back in the college years. We returned now in a new stage of life as full fledged adults with careers, kids, and a mortgage. Would this store still meet our needs and expectations? It was worth a trip. The first thing we noticed was the improved look of the store. Beautiful, clean and easy to navigate. Great first impression! The customer service was fortunately just as fantastic as we remembered. We headed towards the custom suit station to pick out a new suit. With the purchase of the custom suit a free off the rack suit was included! Stellar!! We were completely happy with the options, fit, and price. I should mention that this was a busy Saturday and the store was bustling, a wedding party sling with several other customers. MW was fully staffed and worked efficiently to take care of each customer. Also worth noting they serve a diverse clientele and do it well. The suits will be ready in three weeks- pretty darn quick. I had a work-related black-tie-optional formal event to go to and was in the market for a formal suit. As a female not looking to wear traditional female attire,I was very nervous about approaching a male-dominated clothing store. I was immediately put at ease by Raven, who smiled and didn't flinch for a second after I explained what I was looking for. She immediately hit a home run with presenting a beautiful black velvet tuxedo jacket. I was soon accompanied by Malik, who diligently pulled together an entire ensemble, which included shirts, cuff links, pants, vests, ties...the whole works. I'm a guy that has to be dressed professionally 285 days out of the year or more. Some times I get to kick back with jeans and sneaks on the weekend. With that said, I have to have some go to places for my threads. Men's Wearhouse on N Port Washington road is a great store. They have great customer service. If you're new to suits and the whole professional world ( college grads) they can definitely point you in the right direction. If you need your measurements they can handle that. In my experiences they have always been very helpful. This store has it all in terms of clothes and dress shoes. Okay, maybe not all, but I promise you this store has everything you need. You can buy dapper suits and have them tailored at the store. They have a wide selection of sport coats, dress shirts, button ups, sweaters & casual shirts. Not to mention, a million ties and descent selection of pocket squares. No outfit is complete without shoes. Fellas, the ladies definitely check the shoes out, so try to get you a nice pair. Men's Wearhouse has a very good selection of those as well. I recommend the belvedere shoes. I have bought the black and brown pair 4 straight years. They are very stylish and can be worn with both suits & jeans. The one thing I must warn you on. Men's Wearhouse does provide some pretty good deals at times, but this is not a cheap place. If you are thinking you need a suit, shirt, tie & shoes, plan on spending around $400 or more. I Promise you're going to like the way you look! I've visited this location twice in the past two years and both times received friendly, polite, and complete service. I recently visited to check out tuxes and get measured for my wedding and the service was much better than I expected (of course, I'd just come from Jos. A Bank, which was terrible, so...) The moment I walked in the door, I was greeted by a cashier and an assistant manager (Diane) who asked good questions regarding style, taste, color, etc., showed a few different styles of suits, then when I asked about tuxes instead, turned me over to the very capable tuxedo staff. Toccara (tuxedo staff) was fantastic -- she was polite and friendly and provided suggestions without being pushy or dramatic, and my entire visit took less than 30 minutes. The manager stopped by a few times to check and see how things were going, and another associate took time to show off the personalized gifts MW offers for wedding parties. There were so many options to choose from and I felt all of my questions were answered. The staff even provided leeway in the reservation system for early pick-up and late drop-off (with no additional fees), and clearly explained the various specials for which I was eligible (including a free tux rental), which was a nice touch. This marks the second great experience I've had here -- I visited two years ago for a rush fitting when my sister's fiance needed a last-minute groomsman stand-in -- and the staff at this location was equally awesome to this recent visit. I've also stopped at various MW locations over the years in Indiana, Missouri, and California to purchase suits, shirts, shoes, ties, cufflinks, etc. While service has been varied depending on the location, the Glendale location has been the cream of the crop. I'll definitely return -- now I have to use the 50% off coupon (anything in the store except credit card payment or personalized gifts) they provided for booking tuxedos in advance. First of all, Yelp has these titled incorrectly. Men's Wearhouse and Tux is at 385 West Fountainview Dr. in the Bayshore Town Center, while 5518 N. Port Washington Rd. is a full service Men's Wearhouse. I'm reviewing the address, not the name. During my recent tie-shopping extravaganza, I ordered some items off the internet and went to every menswear store in the area. Some places were cheaper, some had higher quality, but Men's Wearhouse had the best combination. Where they really shine is the staff. The tag team of Robert and R.V. always leaves me satisfied. R.V. is an old-school player who warns my wife that strange women are gonna rub up on me when he's done, and Robert handles the young hip look and knows how to make the finances work. They took time to understand the occasion I was purchasing for and explained what look works when and why. On the foundation of two ties, I went back and paired several shirts that matched with both, then later added a couple more ties that matched those shirts. With just a few items, I'm now able to assemble a dozen combinations for any event. The clothing itself is not of the highest quality, but it is competitively priced for the Average Joe who needs to look good for work or who is getting started in business but can't yet afford to transition to a high end wardrobe. read more

I went in today and left having purchased two suits for much more than I expected to spend. After realizing I had spent too much I went back to return one suit and use a coupon on another. Went to this location to rent my brother a suit for my upcoming wedding. We were greeted by Matt (I think that's his name) and he led us back to rentals and took my brothers measurements while we waited for another customer to finish. While my brother was changing into a suit, Matt looked up my fiancé reservation and handed us over to Danni while he assisted other customers. I only know Danni's name because my mom asked for it halfway through us working with her as she didn't introduce herself, appeared annoyed the moment she sat in front of us and texted on her cell phone basically the whole time. I asked for pricing options comparing the suit my brother tried on to others and she said she didn't know. Without explaining clearly, we eventually realized that pricing varied depending on which specific suit we chose. Naturally, we asked prices of the suits we liked. Danni gave a general range but again became annoyed when she didn't know the price of one and had to get a binder to look it up. I showed Danni a coupon I had for $40 off the rental and she said that I could not use it as it was meant for group rentals and we were doing an individual. Rebecca the manager was there who heard and said that she would honor the discount. We then chose accessories to complete the rental. Danni said that we could have the total discounted when Rebecca returned. She read through the terms and conditions of the rental extremely quickly which made it hard for us to understand what she was saying. We had questions and Danni wasn't happy that she needed to repeat the information. She then took the deposit prior to Rebecca returning and told us that we can have the discount added later, handed us the receipts and left. My mom went to find Rebecca asking her to apply the discount so there won't be any confusion in the future. Rebecca wrote on the receipt what the final marked down price would be. My mom asked her to sign it for verification which seemed like another inconvenience. I've never worked with someone who was completely disinterested and rude. Men's Wearhouse is a pretty standard place. They throw some names on their stuff and they are actually pretty knowledgeable. That being said most of the stuff I bought from them has not really lasted. As a budget place though you should expect that it may not be every-day wear. read more

Today( between 11:00am - 11:30am)I went to drop off a rented tux. I believe good customer service starts at the door. I get out my car and so does another person. I make it to the door first but the two sales consultants looked past me and said hello to the White couple who I held the door for. One gentleman had a Greenbay Packer jersey and the other white hair and suspenders were standing outside when I pulled up. I buy all of my suits from this company. I have spent a lot of money for suits. But if I can't get a simple hello. Maybe I'm buying suits and other items from the wrong company. Maybe my skin tone is a concern. Who knows.
