Fun fact, May is busy. Weddings, prom's, Bar Mitzvahs... it is all happening. Walking in a week before prom, I was concerned we were SOL but as long as we were ok with the traditional black tux, Sam's could make it happen. This was actually our first choice. We came in on a Saturday afternoon and the place was busy. After wandering around, it appeared a line was forming so we lined up. However, after a few moments, a younger women approached asking how she could help. She measured, wrote up the order and and cashed us out in less than 10 minutes. She explained what the next step would be and we were on our way. I have tagged his mom and grandma in for pick up but based on past experiences with my boys and the efficient from last Saturday I have every confidence everything will be fine. TBH I have no idea how they compare to other tuxedo places, pricewise, but I think they have a great selection and the customer service is clearly a priority. Now that I am done with dressing young men for prom I will have to find some black tie events for my husband to take me to. :-) They have a very nice selection of mens clothing and they might do alternations, although I am not sure if that is just for purchase from them or if they take outside work as well. Laz was professional, courteous and accommodating, going well above "doing his job". In addition to tailoring the suit to my father-in-law's preferences, he included several personal touches which were thoughtful and very appreciated. I came here with my sister to help find her wedding dress. Aziza was helping us look for a dress…read more She looked at dresses one by one and selected a few for my sister to try on. Every dress my sister tried on, they put on a veil and stretched it out so that she could see how it looked. My sister saw a dress on the side and asked to see it. Aziza said "This is the one I tokd you but you didnt like it." So Aziza grabbed it and showed her and she said let me just try it to see please. She tried it on and fell in love. We told her to try on the first dress again to be sure. They were so patient with us. She retried the first one but she said she didn't love it like the last. They reput on the dress and my sister said yes to the dress. She was so happy. She started crying and they gave everyone tissues. Aziza wasn't too pushy. She told my sister to choose a dress she felt happy with and wanted, and to not worry about everyone elses opinion. The dress was actually a really good price. She also picked out a vail for about $450 and crown $240. We went to quite a few bridal shops and the crowns were more expensive at other shops. Overall, we had a great experience. My sister will be back in for alterations for the dress. They went over all of the prices with my sister up front. They also offered coupons for mother of the bride, mother in law, and the bridesmaid dresses as well. My sister said she will come back in to have a bridesmaid try on dresses.

When we went to pay for it, found out it had been clearanced out and wasn't available for order. Kathy tracked down the dress in correct size at a store in Texas and was on the phone trying to coordinate them to ship for 15-20 minutes. Because she took the extra time my mom is very happy with her dress purchase! Reasons I initially wanted to give this store less than 4 stars: - It's always so crowded. I believe not taking appointments for anything other than wedding dress is corp policy but it needs to be changed. They don't have enough space to accommodate all the walk ins! -Sales staff seems aloof. When we went shopping for the Mother of the Bride dress they told us to start browsing and a sales person would be over to help us get a room situated. No one ever came and we just ended up asking someone near the dressing rooms if a room was free. -The dressing rooms are situated very awkward/cramped. All 3 times I have been to this location in the past 6 months (for a bridesmaid dress for a wedding I'm in, for my bridesmaids to buy their dresses for my wedding, and my mom's dress) we have been cramped in a space with the small group (anywhere from 2-5 people) where it was difficult to stand out of the way to watch what others are putting on. A few times I basically stood in the rack of the veils to try to get out of the way so I could see what the dresses looked like but also be out of the aisle. No where to put your stuff or sit. It would be nicer to have more space or situated with some seating. Overall I prefer the Novi location, it's not as crowded and it appears more recently remodeled. Kathy saved the day so if you find a good person to work with, it makes all the difference!

I think they should offer more assistance…read morewhen trying on wedding gowns especially since most of them are very difficult to get in and out of. They do have a large selection of wedding dresses. As far as value, I think overall the dresses are priced reasonable. I do have a few minor complaints which is why I could not give it a 5-star review. 1) would be the stores overall appearance. I had to visit the store a total of 3 times and each time I the floors were very dirty and were never vacuumed. 2) The sales people should dress more professional. If you are dealing with high-end merchandise you should dress the part, and not dress so casual.
