Walked in today to pick up my son's suit and was assisted by Patrick who automatically was very aggressive attitude and condescending. Not professional behavior because I asked about all the wrinkles of the suit jacket was. He automatically stated I was being aggressive. Hello as a client I have the right to ask about what I am paying for and did not ask in a rude manner. This will be the last time we will be renting suits from this location if they don't hire more professional people to do customer service. Simply disappointing experience. Terrible customer service. I went to the Poughkeepsie NY store twice just to pickup my pants. I paid $28.00 to have them hemed. The first time. I waited in line for 25 minutes. No customer service. The manager had a problem with a teenage boy and his mother. No Tuxedo was ready for his prom at Beacon NY highschool. They put the wrong date on the ticket. I walked out of the store. I went back to the store the next day in the morning. They were busy. I waited 30 minutes by the back register. No customer service. A lady manager named Danielle, finally came over to me because I asked a employee to send the store manager over. I made a complaint. That I have been waiting for 30 minutes and no customer service. I was here yesterday and the same thing happened to me. The manager was upset about my complaint. She raised her voice at me and said. " Well. I am the only one here and there is only one of me. I can't do everything!" I was shocked by her attitude towards me and her unprofessional behavior. She asked me what I can do for you? I handed her my receipt. I asked her to please get me my pants. She walked away. I spoke to the lady behind me. We both were talking about the manager unprofessional behavior. Danielle, came back and apologized to me and told me I could get a free pair of socks. She gave me my pants and socks and I walked out of the store. I will never go back. You lost me as a customer. Poor Customer Service. Poor Attitude from the Manager. I read online from Google Reviews and other reviews this store has many customer service complaints and from both employees and from store Mangers. Not sure why the ratings here are so bad, so wanted to share my experience. One of our sons rented a suit for prom and the other bought one. Both times, the salespeople were personable and knowledgeable. They answered whatever questioned we had and quickly fixed any sizing issues. read more

I went in for a final fitting for my wedding a few weeks beforehand. I put on some weight so I needed some adjustments. They adjusted the shirt size but I came to find out when I picked up that they didnt adjust my vest size. I was told no problem they will have the correct size overnighted no problem. Well when I went back I was given an abomination of a "vest" which stuck out from underneath my suit jacket. It was a white vest and I guess they didnt have any available in my size. What should have happened is they realize that and contact me, I would have requested one in my groomsmen's vest color. Instead I was stuck with a ridiculous looking vest I will forever have in my pictures. read more

Service at this store is deplorable! We walked in and an older lady immediately bombards us demanding to know why we came in. When we told her "a suit" she demanded to know what color. My husband said he wanted to see what was available first and would need the big and tall section. She rolled her eyes and walked over to one small rack and said "this is all we have! You want blue or black?" Before we even said anything she said "we don't have what you need. I'd suggest going to Jos A Banks." She was incredibly curt, rude, and abrasive. It's a pet peeve of mine to walk into a store to be aggressively approached and demand I know exactly what I want without allowing me to look first. We turned around and left less than 2 minutes after walking in because even if they'd had a suit my husband wanted we wouldn't have bought it simply because of this saleswoman. Horrible customer service! Would not help with sizes and was disinterested!! Go to Hartsdale!! Worth the drive

I needed a suit for an upcoming family wedding so I went to Mens Warehouse thinking it would be the best place to get a suit. I wasn't impressed by their hospitality or presentation but I bought a suit from them. After determining what my size was they told me that my suit would have to be made. Theoretically it should have fit perfectly considering that they said it was going to be exactly what I wanted. After about a week we called them and it had come in so we went to the store thinking it would be a simple pick up. Needless to say the jacket didn't fit correctly and had to be altered. The suit should have fit considering it was supposed to be made for my specifications. The suit cost just over $350.00, then I was charged an additional $36 for the jacket to be altered. I feel that charging for alterations after you said it was going to be made for my sizing was not acceptable but I paid it. I wouldn't send anyone there because of hidden fees after buying a suit. The employees acted as if they didn't care if you bought anything or not. Very cold attitude from the people there. Mens Warehouse gets a huge THUMBS DOWN from me. read more

I needed a decent good fitting suit for work. I got a tailored $546 grey business suit. Got it home and it is the cheapest material. That is on me as I should have inspected better. But in all fairness I have no knowledge of suits and trusted the sales person. Tried on the pants and they do not fit, way short. Bring it back and told they can't fix it. WTF. To me $546 is a lot and I should have pants that fit. This was at the Poughkeepsie NY store. There are better options that won't rip you off. read more

Terrible customer service! Ordered a custom suit for an upcoming vow renewal. The suit was promised to arrive 6/5. It was then promised on 6/10. It's now promised on 6/14. It's likely we won't have the custom suit for the event. There is zero communication. They keep blaming tracking number with no resolution! Buyer beware! read more

My husband and I have been here a total of 3x now recently with the two weddings we had this month. We just went in to try and find a pair of pants to match the rest of his outfit for the wedding tomorrow and we were helped by John. He could totally tell we were stressed about what to get/what would look well together and he knew exactly what to put together to pull the whole outfit together. They even hemmed the pants we bought right there within five minutes time. John was professional, patient, kind, and knowledgeable. If I could give this store -1 star I would. You have to be an older white male to get attention and service. My boyfriend is NOT white and was only approached by the staff that were NOT white and still was given the poorest service. Needless to say. We will not be back. I will base this review off of my most recent experience and not prior ones (or other locations). Came in for a tux fitting several months ago and it was a quick, easy in and out. Upon arrival yesterday to pick it up for this weekend's festivities, it was also performed in a fast and thorough manner. Everything was inspected properly to insure that the correct items were dispensed, and all sizes were checked as well. I've had some awful experiences with Men's Warehouse in the past, but they've stepped up their tux game for sure. Better, more modern styles are also now available. For anything custom to own longterm, I'd still go to my tailor, but for wedding purposes, this place makes it the easiest, especially when members of the bridal party live apart. read more

Terrible experience. The sales associates were unprofessional and untrained. Not only they did not take the measurements properly, when asked specific questions, they would roll their eyes. The managers should better train the employees about the company and its processes, products and customer service. DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS! My husband and his groomsmen rented here for our wedding. When one of our groomsmen went to pick up his tux, they informed him that he had never ordered one despite his receipt and email confirmation with his measurements in it. They made a mistake and lied about it. Then they told him that he could pick up the tux on the morning of the wedding. The store opened at 10, thus making this groomsmen miss our pictures. It added so much unnecessary stress on the day of our wedding. They didn't even offer him any kind of discount, despite the $230+ he paid. Absolutely terrible service. read more

UPDATE: MENS WEARHOUSE DID THE RIGHT THING I contacted Torey of corporate customer relations for MW. We discussed my situation and how my MAIN concern was to make sure this does not happen to another handicapped person. Torey explained that accomodations should have been made and that their corporate policy DOES allow for these accomodations. The Poughkeepsie store dropped the ball. Corporate contacted the regional director and he was flabbergasted and embarrassed by the treatment we received. The employees will be retrained and instructed on how to accommodate special needs. This was my objective when I posted about our problem and I feel confident that somewhere down the line a disabled person will benefit. MW is also refunding the cost of the rental and sending my husband a gift card for causing him such anxiety. Please share. read more

I have been a loyal patron of the MW on Rt. 9. The personal service I received from all the sales associates was impressive, and still is. My lukewarm rating has more to do with inventory than service, however. MW decided to follow a trend of carrying mostly modern-fit and slim-fit suits almost exclusively, even online. That leaves a dude like me, who wouldn't be caught dead in a suit jacket that barely reaches my belt buckle and suit pants that are so tight. Not a good look for a 6'3" 240 pounder. Why would they discontinue or limit the classic style suit? I have been forced to shop elsewhere. read more

This is the worst place to rent a Tux, for a Special Occasion. They have the rudest staff. I am very angry, and would never recommend this place to anyone. I don't know why I feel the need to leave a review for these people but I had to. They called me in for an appointment about tuxedos for my wedding I came in 2 guys on the front told me to go to the back where they would help me. I get to the back and there were a bunch of people back there in the store no one greeted me my fiancé or my brother. They told me to fill out some paper my fiancé gave it back to the lady and she showed us a bunch of dirty swatches and didn't explain anything to us. I asked if there was different styles of jackets and they said they did not have different styles in the store they had one standard jacket which made no sense The swatches they had were only three or four per color and again after 10 mins no one came by to assist. I told him I was looking for a champagne or gold they said I was better off going online and designing my own Tux .I get that it was prom season at the time but don't overbook people to the point where you are ignoring them. I wish I can give this men's wearhouse 0 stars. They are absolutely RUDE! Horrible service. My fiancé bought his slacks and vest for our wedding in another men's wearhouse in Queens, but we live in Poughkeepsie, so we figured he can just get it tailored there with no issues. This was the worst decision we ever made! Entering the store, no one greeted us. We were standing by the entrance for about 1 minute. We saw that there were 2 young ladies in the back near the fitting rooms so we walked over and when walking over they were both texting on their phones not even acknowledging that we are standing right in their face. So I processed and said, "hi we need help." One of the girls looks up and says "yes?" Not even a Hi or we can help. My fiancé said he needs tailoring done to his pants and vest. The lady said go into a fitting room and the tailor will be right out. When the tailor came to us, she was rude, did not greet us and literally said "what do you want." With the most unfriendliest tone of voice. Of course we gave her the benefit of the doubt and just thought she was having a bad day. My fiancé explained that he wanted his pants slim fit. As he was trying to explain to her, she kept cutting him off and saying "YES I NO YES I NO WHAT YOU WANT!" How can you know what we want if you're not even listening to what he has to say? So we left his outfit there for her to tailor, thinking she knew what he wanted because she's the professional. We returned today (2 weeks later) and the pants look HORRIBLE! They look ridiculous. They are super big on the thigh and knee area then slim on the calf then on boot cut on the bottom of the pants. The pants almost go over the shoes. It looks horrible and I am not a happy customer or wife to be!!! This was a waste of money! After expressing how we think the pants look weird, the tailor said, "why didn't you go to the city then? If you don't like the way I did my job then go to the city and figure something out." Is this customer service? She wasn't even trying to help. She didn't apologize for us not liking the pants, she straight up was rude, inappropriate and I will never return to this store. Just experienced the worst customer service of my life at Men's Warehouse. I went with my husband to purchase a suit. The store had about three customers in line ahead of us. We waited patiently while the employees attended to other customers. We spent well over twenty minutes waiting in the store and not one employee greeted us or said we will be with you in a moment. In fact one employee hurried to help another couple that came into the store after us. The managers of this store should be embarrassed by the behavior of their employees. We have no intentions on returning to this Men's Warehouse location. read more

Nearly $250 for tuxedo rental. That's a lot, but oh okay, i paid it, so I can't complain because it was my choice to rent it. But the tux pants and shirt had some much static electricity that the totally clinged to my legs and arms. Not a little static that we all experience now and then, I'm talking about a huge amount of static. I would have been embarrassed giving a customer a product in that condition if I worked there. Surprised that the tux was noticeably linty too and loose thread here and there. Everyone on my wedding party had the same experience. If you don't mind ironing your tux, de-liniting it, and dousing it in Static Guard, then this is the place for you. Sorry being a bit sarcastic, but I find the situation frustrating and especially because the store handed the tux'es to us knowing about the static and presumably seeing the lint that we saw immediately. read more

Worst shopping experience I've ever had. I wanted to rent a tux for my son. Upon entering, the store had two people shopping, no one asked if they could help me. When I asked for help, the salesgirl said I would have to wait fifteen minutes. Fine. Then she measured him incorrectly, put a tux on him that was six inches too short on the wrists and could barely button. Interesting. I thought I was being punked - seriously. When I asked if he could try on a tux to see which style looked best, she said no - customers can't try on anything except what is 'hanging there'. Then she tried to get him to try on a disgusting, yellowing tux shirt with brown food stains on it - hadn't even been cleaned - disgusting. Mind you - the tux that she said 'fit' him was going to run me $289.00 for the 'package'. I went to Via Roma and purchased a beautiful, brand new tux, shirt, tie, handkerchief for the same price and he'll wear it this year and next. read more
