When something very sentimental and very useful breaks it can be hard to let it go. That's why I was so very happy to have been told about Paul's Shoe Repair in Great Falls. After trying at other shops, Paul's was the first one who said they could fix my purse. Not only did he fix it, but, he repaired it in a way that did not require taking it apart and was extremely reasonable in price. I could not be happier! I truly appreciate that they found an extremely practical solution and then carried through. This will be my go to spot for any leather, purse or luggage repair from now on.

Professional, quick and efficient - the zipper of my Eagle Creek luggage needed to be replaced. I contacted Eagle Creek and they offered two options: (1) send the luggage back to Eagle Creek; or (2) drop off the luggage at a local shop. I opted for choice #2 and was pleasantly surprised at the professionalism and how quickly it was repaired. I dropped off my luggage and expected the turnaround to be about two to three weeks, however I was pleasantly surprised to receive a phone call five days later to pick up my luggage! In addition to repairing luggage, high end ones are also sold. The only downside is the driving distance to the establishment - it may be a bit long from where I live, but it's well worth it for the professional service.

Strap was fixed so you can't tell it was ever broken.

I walked in with a broken strap on my luggage and walked out with it fixed. I recommend this business for repairs and quality luggage. He caries only the best brands in luggage. I will be back!!

This husband and wife team are a "dying" breed of artisans that hand craft leather goods for the horse trade (we're not horse owners) and other leather goods such as belts, wallets, and dog leashes. They also repair virtually anything made of leather: shoes, luggage, handbags, etc. They do all the work themselves right in their shop, not like the Korean Dry Cleaners that send the stuff out. We were so impressed with the quality of workmanship that we bought his and hers belts, and a dog leash. Wayne Groves fitted the belts to each of us and put on some finishing touches. The belts also were hand braided on the ends where the hardware was and the hand-loop, not riveted. Highly recommend if you have quality leather goods that need to be repaired, or if you are in the market for quality leather goods.

I have been a customer of Tricks of the Trade for more than 30 years. In that time I found the…read moreowner to be polite, humorous, community oriented and friendly. But that is not the reason to go there. He has been working in leather for over 40 years and is considered to be a Master Craftsman in his trade. Having many horses over the years I have needed his services often, and found the quality of his workmanship to be the best I have ever found. He can repair, restore or create anything made of leather, and the product will always be better than new. He was also very careful to undercharge for his services. We were very fortunate to have someone of his character and professionalism so close to home. I need to add a review of Murphy S, below, and note that he gives one star to 40% of his reviews. He only represents a small minority of the recent arrivals to our town and they tend to give us a bad name. He also refers to the renowned 5 star Chez Francois as his "neighborhood" restaurant. That snobbery alone tells you the caliber of the man.

[4.18.16] UPDATE!!! THREE STARS FOR EFFORT!…read more After emailing the business and writing this review, I was contacted by the owner/manager. She apologized, gave me a reason why the repair didn't work and offered to repair the shoes again at no charge. I declined the offer because the shoes got ruined and I'm not going to wear them anymore. Then she called me and offered the free repair, and to reimbursed me the $20. I declined again. But my super amazing boyfriend overheard the conversation and decided to surprise me. He took the shoes back to be glue and get the money back!! :) Unfortunately, she couldn't fix the shoes because of the material. Which is something they could've told me at first, and we could've avoided all this mess. However, I appreciated she took the time to contacted me and to fix the issue. So Three stars for effort! [4.1.16] MINUS FREAKING FIVE STARTS!!!! I brought in my shoes to get the soles glue. I picked them up last Friday (3.25.16) I wore them for the first time, today. And three hours later the soles coming unglued!!!! I haven't even walk more than 20 feet!!!! I also had to clean them up before wearing them, because there was glue all over the top. They charged $20 for "GLUING THE SOLES" and I paid gladly. But The quality of work, or better the lack of, isn't worth $20. This place SUCKS. Their work SUCKS. The people working there SUCK too. And they robbed me, simple as that.

This place is a total ripoff. I took in a suitcase. He repaired the handle (did not replace) and…read morestill charged $40. I only paid $100 for the suitcase brand new. I would have never paid that if I knew. Beware of bringing items here!!
