We found this course because we were checking out the West Virginia Paranormal Trail and when we arrived it was raining and they were closed but we decided to wait a while outside until they opened and I am SO glad we did. It's $12 per person but you can go through again for only $5 if you want. We probably would have done another round ourselves but time wasn't on our side. They give you a "lore card" and a score card so you get to learn all about the cryptids they feature while you play through and it is just so much fun. My favorites were the Flatwoods Monster and of course the Moth Man but it was cool to learn about some I had never heard of before as well and honestly we were tickled and smiling the whole time we were inside. It is small and does get warm inside and we were lucky that there were only a few other people when we went because they started getting busy as we were leaving and it was pretty cramped. If anything I hope that encourages them to open a larger spot and add even more holes. The owners were lovely too. They were warm and friendly and they had a super eclectic and well curated gift shop at the end of the course. We ended up getting a candle and some snacks but believe me, I wanted everything. I even asked about buying a display stand they were using for merch because it was so adorable and they made a joke about everything having a price. Then, as we were walking out, I saw a mask on the wall that I knew my hubby would love so I walked back and asked if they would sell me that. It turns out they had one in the back that they had had forever and were happy to sell it to me. The price was reasonable too so it was just a cherry on an already incredible experience. I beat my husband by a WHOPPING 11 strokes btw but that tidbit is really just for me. I hope the rest of the review was helpful and entices you to head over and support this fantastic establishment. The course itself is cool, but they are easier than we expected. The decorations are fitting for the story and entertaining. The glow in the dark aspects are definitely intriguing for kids and adults alike. You finish your round in the gift store, which has some cool stuff in it as well. We did not buy anything, but it was interesting to see it all and listen to some of the local stories.

It was awesome, we really enjoyed the course. They currently have one 18 whole course open and the other one is not open yet .We got to eat ice cream at their snack shop and we got to race go karts and play at the arcade it was a fun filled day, also the second time we raced go karts my 13-year-old son got to drive and I got to be his passenger. So they have single and dual passenger go karts. The bumper boats, water soaker zone and batting cages weren't open, but will hit them later when they are.

There is something disconcerting about video games that rely on swipe cards to operate them. I miss…read morethe feeling of pumping quarters into coin boxes. Call me old. But that satisfying clunk was always part of the video game experience. It also was helpful for understanding just how much a video game cost to play. Back in the old days, most games were a quarter. The super deluxe games were fifty cents. I remember the first time a game broke the dollar barrier. But if you have a preloaded card that cost $10 with 50 points, and one game requires 6.4 points to operate, how much does that game cost to play? And what if there are some games that cost fewer than four points, and other that need more that twelve? These kinds of swipe systems make it easy for people, especially kids, to burn through a lot of money in very little time. Thankfully, Tilt does have some all-you-can-eat pricing schemes. But these aren't always easy to figure out, especially for first time visitors. Nor is it clear just how valuable these deals might be to the newcomer who may be unaware that a ten dollar investment of fun, might last fewer than ten minutes. Let the buyer beware. That said, there are some truly cool games which are in very good condition, and which I haven't seen elsewhere. The place is clean, and there are many options for fun beyond simply video games--although the glow golf course is small, and bowling consists of just two lanes of candle pin bowling. Staff are pleasant and patient, especially with younger kids trying to redeem their precious few points at the redemption counter. It's hard to say if we'll return. The kids prefer the experience of tokens at the other game room nearby, where we've been going for years. They also prefer how the machines at the other place spit out wave after wave of physical redemption tickets when they do particularly well in a game of skill. Still, I think that the older kids might have a different take on Tilt if we were to get them an all-you-can-play pass at some point in the future. But on this first visit, even the kid in grade school couldn't believe how much money each game cost to play, especially in this era of high tech video games. But all that changes if you can score four hours of attractions and games for $20. Hopefully they will have a similar deal next time we're in town.
