My mom talked about this property for years. She lived in Pennsylvania and attended a wedding and she was always convinced I'd love it here. I was living in California and every time I'd get back to the east coast, she'd suggest going here. Unfortunately, we never got to experience a visit here together after she suddenly passed from an aggressive cancer. It became my goal to come here and visit with her on my mind. Years later, I moved back to the east coast and booked a random weekend just for fun. I'm married now with kids so we made the drive here to experience all that the Omni had to offer. I've stayed at other Omni resorts and I wavered on what this place would land on ratings wise. Overall, it's a beautiful hotel with a lot of history that I loved learning about. My kids absolutely loved the indoor pool. It is as gorgeous as the photos look. It's a nice spot, especially when it's a chilly Pennsylvania day like when we visited. With that said, there isn't a ton to do here with kids. It was the perfect amount of time for us, but met other families who were struggling to keep their own kids occupied. There are some really nice trails around the property, which are perfect. And you can also check out some free toys and games from one of the shops inside. That said, if you don't have great weather, options can be limited. We didn't get a chance to visit the spa, but the space looks amazing from what I saw online. The rooms were spacious and well set up for a family. We ate at a few of the restaurants on site. Service was mostly on point though the tavern was really off. Our server was perfectly friendly but pretty much messed up the entire order. I would go back but not sure I'd be eager to rush back anytime soon. We did enjoy the experience but I think a few bumps could be worked out such as helping with our luggage upon arrival. We were able to valet but couldn't find anyone to help us with the bags and the rolling carts don't easily go over the front door to get inside. Between me and my partner, we were able to make it work. But it's those small details that make a property really stand out. read more

The spa staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel completely pampered. Afterward, we had lunch at the Frontier Tavern, and everything was fantastic. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the food was absolutely delicious, and the service was outstanding. Every member of the staff we interacted with went above and beyond to make our visit special. A beautiful historic resort and spa with stunning golf course, pools, and hiking in the Appalachian Mountains. FYI Please be sure to ask for the "Spa section "of the resort when booking the older side is beginning to look dated and smelling moldy. A great place for me to unwind and relax. Every employee always welcomed me with a smile and "hello". The grounds are so pretty and light up at night. The golf course is top notch. The indoor pool was built in 1905 and one of the first indoor swimming pools and is breathtaking. There is an elevated opera box where musicians once serenaded the swimmers. Outdoor pool is also nice but can be chilly in the mountains. Well maintained hiking trails for walking, hiking, or bike riding. Lots of great dining experiences however I prefer Tillie's at the clubhouse for lunch and dinner . There's a cute cafe for breakfast at Evitt House Coffee "to go " in the morning. The best part coming to the Omni is you don't have to leave the resort they have everything you need on site. read more

I'll begin by stating that if there was an option for a 4.5 star rating, I'd have chosen that, but there isn't so I awarded 5 stars because of the overall wonderful, luxurious, and therefore expensive 4 days and 3 nights. I'd made reservations online via their website probably 6 weeks before our stay and all seemed to go smoothly. As you'll find there, the rate per room is about $350 per night with nothing else included. I signed up for the breakfast every morning. I wanted to schedule a massage and pedicure online for my wife and me, but decided to do that once we'd arrived which turned out to be a better choice. I ought add that we arrived on a Sunday and checked out on a Wednesday which was also a better choice. A staff member had commented that 140 guests checked out on sunday and only about 45 checked in, so it was considerably less crowded than had we spent a weekend. I did receive a cellular text on the day prior to arrival to confirm our arrival, how many guests there would be, and our approximate arrival time. Note than check in is after 4pm, and checkout is 11AM. I confirmed that my wife and I were indeed coming and asked if a 2pm arrival was acceptable, and was told that it fine but that we might have to wait but that we could bring our luggage into the hotel. The property is indeed impressive, rich, and historic in appearance at first glance. A bellman took our luggage and declined my assistance, stating " You're here to relax." A good first impression indeed! We went to check in at the reception desk, and after several moments the young woman announced " it says here that you canceled your reservation last night." This was bad news indeed! She said she'd need to speak with her manager, and after about 5 minutes reemerged and announced " We figured out what happened. Your credit card was declined, so the reservation was automatically cancelled." I explained that I had received cellular texts the day before, but no mention of this. Unless I misunderstood, the room we received, although beautiful, was a slight downgrade from the one I'd chosen weeks earlier and someone else took our spot. Anyway, a bellman took our things to the room and the rest of our stay was amazing. We were placed in the " historic building/ Swiss Cottage" on the second floor. Everything was spotless and in splendid condition! After unpacking we toured the grounds, checked out several of the nearby mineral springs, and took pictures. We were blessed with magnificent weather the entire stay except for some overcast skies upon arrival. We dined at the Tavern on day one. There were a number of bars throughout the facility including in the lobby which I believe opens at 4pm daily. The food was delicious! We enjoyed a movie which we chose to rent. Note that you have 24 hours from when you pay to watch it, and you cannot watch it a second time, which i think stinks! On day 2 we each had a 90 minute massage. The spa is absolutely beautiful, refreshed, and soothing. We ate in the Crystal Dining room for breakfast and supper on day 2. All staff whom we encountered were most pleasant, friendly, and helpful. There are at least 2 firepits on the front lawn which unfortunately hit the building and tracked down to our porch and into my nostrils and lungs such that we couldn't have our doors open in the evenings despite the gorgeous weather. On day 3 my wife had a facial and we both enjoyed a 60 minute couples pedicure which was nice. We dined again at the Tavern on our 3rd evening. A walking history tour of the hotel is offered free at 10AM and 2pm daily which I found fascinating. It is entirely indoors and lasted about 90 minutes. The older woman giving the tour was knowledgeable however less friendly than other staff and demonstrated no reluctance in talking over us if ever we attempted to make a comment. Checkout was easy and a bell hop brought our vehicle out front as all guest parking is valet. I noted on our bill that we were charged 70 something dollars each morning for breakfast despite me having prepaid for the Great American Breakfast. This like occurred as my initial reservation was cancelled without my knowledge or any attemp to contact me when my card was declined. I called the business office the day after we checked out, however could not speak to a person. I left a message, reason for my call, as well as my callback number, but no reply as of today which is 2 days later. Disappointing indeed! In summary, we were pampered for a 4 day and 3 night stay in exquisite and historic surroundings. Don't think that this wasn't costly because with meals and the spa as well as some facial creams, the bill came to over $3000. One can accrue points with each dollar spent which encourages return visits. In summary, it was a magnificent stay! read more

The good: the venue (gorgeous), the decor (Xmas is lovely and appropriate to the historical hotel), the restaurant and its staff is more than hospitable, in fact, downright loveable, the spa and its staff knowledgable and so accommodating, the location in the Alleghenies, beautiful. The desk staff is knowledgable and very helpful when housekeeping did not answer the phone. There is one MAJOR WEAKNESS, and it's a big one. Housekeeping sucks, people. One hand doesn't know what the other is doing. Not once in 5 days were my sheets changed but promised to be. Two "tidying" up occasions, which meant fresh towels, 2 16-oz bottles of water, and a tucking in of the sheets to simulate a "made" bed. In my life of 69 years staying in hotels have I have NEVER had to ASK FOR TOILET PAPER. It took TWO phone calls to have a roll delivered to my room, and the kid hung around for a tip? No way. I needn't have to ask for TP at about $500/night! The bed is attractively made but there is NO way to pull the covers up around your ears for coziness: the sheets and blanket are not long enough. I wound up sleeping diagonally in the king size bed to be warm enough under the sheet and thin down-type blanket. What if I was 6 feet tall or there were two of us. There are also spots on the bathroom walls, many undusted spots on TV armoire, woodwork, behind doors, tops of headboard, etc. There was a strip of red ribbon on the carpet outside my door for 5 days. There was someone else's dental floss under my chair in the living area, and it was not picked up in 5 days. The housekeeping department is either grossly mismanaged or they can't keep help, which could also mean the manager is having problems. read more

We stayed at the Omni over the holiday weekend. Here are some pros: - The hotel is beautiful, staff is very friendly, a few restaurants and a lobby bar that opens at 4pm. - The negatives, there are not a ton of food options, not much of an entertainment. There are board games, and books available. An indoor and outdoor pool (FYI you need to get there EARLY to get a chair like 8am). I learned about the hikes the day before we left, wish I had known about this earlier. Also, they have a down town but the downtown doesn't stay open past about 6pm, a bit unfortunate. Would I stay again? Yes, but only for a weekend. Not much else to do or see as it is in the middle of no where. read more

Have been here several times over the past 7 years & have watched the slow Omnification of the resort - the unique 'Bedford Springs' charm is giving way with each visit to generic 'Omni' branding ...possibly to its detriment. This visit started off bad but recovered as the stay continued. My Girlfriend made the reservation several months in advance & ended up calling the resort after having issues online. She was assured she was getting an upgraded room on the spa side...however upon checkin we were told that (prepaid) room was no longer available and a partial refund was being given. Needless to say, the GF was NOT happy. We quickly figured out this was most likely due to a huge wedding party that was there for the weekend...members of whom traipsed up and down the halls laughing and talking until about 1:30 in the morning. I must say - after the revelers cleared out the next day, our experience improved dramatically. Our room was clean & save for the first night, was quiet. Staff we interacted with were friendly & helpful. We ate at the Crystal Room & Frontier Tavern which were great... also enjoyed the restaurant staff building the gingerbread merry-go-round as we walked back & forth over our stay. Also made use of the spa which was great. Will we come back...probably. I hope the property retains the remaining old-fashioned resort identity. read more

Was there for lunch March 26 , for my wife's birthday . We were seated toward the windows, and the table was very sticky where the napkins actually stick to the table . We ordered our drinks and my wife ordered the espresso martini as she always gets 1 on her birthday . The food was ordered and brought which was very good , as I was reaching for the salt the drink menu fell onto the martini spilling all over her plate of food and coleslaw. I had to get the waitresses attention and asked for a towel to clean up the table . She brought over paper napkins about 6 of them and then took the plate which had the martini in it . She never brought over another napkins or even asked if another drink was needed since it was completely full . I was not at all impressed with the service and the way is addressed for a 5 star place it definitely was not up to par !!!! read more

Epic round of golf!! Keeping the birthday golf tradition alive on the gorgeous and highly challenging Old Course at The Omni Bedford Springs Resort. The beautiful Allegheny Mountains surround the historic course (c.1895) while a babbling trout stream criss-crosses through it. The golf course was not open the last time we came here in early spring, so it was great he November weather held out and we could play 18 holes right up until it got dark. Holes 4, 10 and 18 were EPIC!! Hole 4, known as "the Volcano" required teeing off UP a steep 40-foot cone-shaped hill to a blind green that drops off all sides into to bunkers. On hole 10, we had to shoot from the tee across a 55-foot ravine to the green- appropriately named "The Gulley". The Old Course's signature hole 18, "Home" is surrounded by sand and undulating terrain. Let's just say we needed to hit up Hole 19 after this extremely challenging - but super fun- round! We loved this round of golf and the pro-shop staff were helpful and gave us pointers and suggestions for how to approach a few of the final holes. read more

Not given directions or even told that our room was in a completely different wing far away from the front desk with no help given with luggage. The cable and internet went out soon after we arrived. My husband and I came here for our baby moon, it was a really nice experience but I'm not sure that we would return. We stayed on a Sunday & Monday evening and the resort was still very busy with guests. I think that if we would return, it would be nice to come during the warmer months so that we could enjoy the outdoor pool. The resort was nice because there were plenty of things to do on site that we didn't feel like we had to leave the resort property to have fun. The restaurants were good, and we were able to do a haunted ghost tour which was fun. The spa itself was beautiful, and I loved the soaking tubs. The downfall for this resort is the staff, more or less. They wanted to welcome us and see us have fun but when something was brought to their attention they didn't want to hear it. Our first night at dinner we had horrible service, which wasn't an issue because we were staying there and had nowhere to be. Our second night, we did the ghost tour but we're very upset when they asked us for $30+ for the tour, when it was listed as free on the itinerary list. I let the resort know this, and never received a response. The best/worst part about our stay was the couples massage. The massage itself was the most rushed massage I've ever had. We had the very first appointment of the day (so terrible) so of course we were 5 minutes late. Our massage was so rushed, and when we went to the resting area we noticed it was only 45 minutes long. Obviously it should have been 5 minutes less because of us being late, but not 20+ how is that even possible? I let the spa manager know about this and of course they just told us they were back to back and that's how it had to happen. When you're spending that kind of money for a massage, it should be worth it. We decided to stay on the eternal spa side (newer) and I was totally disappointed our second night when noisy neighbors kept us up all night long. Our room did not even have the option to let the fan run in the room to block noise out. Again, I let the resort know this on my survey response and no one replied. This resort has major potential. It's old, beautiful, and full of history. It was interesting to stay here but I would recommend that anyone booking in the future read this review and be mindful how they try to snag you for some extra money here and there, whether you know it or not. read more

Tillinghast eighteen (18) hole Championship golf second to none. The pro shop staff ( Shannon, Zac and Head Professional Jim Woods) ) are local mainstays, who reflect an indescribable yet unmistakeably Southeastern Pennsylvania hospitality which rivals any notion of southern hospitality. The surrounding Red Lake, hiking trails streams are worth the drive. The Fall here, just following October 18 & 19 bi annual aerification are beyond resplendent. Green fees plummet to $69 with a powerful cart. The mild Friday weather (52 degrees and friendly at your back on the inward nine, westerly breeze are more than one can imagine possible three weeks before Thanksgiving. I inadvertently left a putter behind in New Mexico, but was treated to highest quality Odyssey "triple track" tm 2021 putter. It was a perfect match for some of the triple breaking 14 footers i faced all week. But extremely new Taylor made irons and woods are available to rent. Tillie's (the golf club grille) is closed Mondays and Tuesdays due to short staffing, but does a bustling noon day business Listen, to be perfectly honest, 2020 and 21 seasons have been the Springs' top grossing seasons since Omni took over ownership in 2003(?) These folks work harder than nature does here. The food, the staff, the seven conference rooms, excellent gourmet muffin and coffee carts, Tillinghast golf, twenty four foot mind bending putts, and occasional distance/ yardage guestimates lead to one curl up in your fine suite ( i did not stay overnite), walking on the promenade, or dipping into the pools. read more

We have made our way there at least 10 times over the years. The property beautiful. service also very good. The food however, is below average and down right awful. In my humble opinion, it is over priced frozen Sysco products that are prepared with untrained kitchen staff. Not quality nor fresh Be prepared to be nickled and dimed and overcharged in every aspect. The resort fees, taxes, charges, parking, drinks ($30.00 for a margarita), bikes, beanbags for corn hole, etc are astronomical. It's almost as they are tricking you with high prices to seem luxurious. Just overpriced. read more

Stopped here for a special engagement - and this was my first time staying in the actual hotel. I've been to weddings, food places, driving by, etc - but in terms of staying - a first-timer. We were supposed to have a king bed but were given two queens which was - interesting. The rooms are nice and decorated nicely. The bathrooms have marble tile, stone tile etc. ours was clean and ready for stay. The hotel itself is very nice with different parlors, restaurants, indoor and outdoor pools, spa, and outdoor areas for leisure. Food also was good - thanks to the event we didn't have to pay but the dinner and then the breakfast the next day was very well done. Would recommend this if you have a rich uncle that recently left you a chunk, or if you found a bag of money shallowly buried in the woods. All jokes aside - on the expensive side but really worth it as a once in awhile splurge. read more

If I could go 4.5 I would give them another half star. This is a charming, historic hotel. The grounds are beautiful and the walking paths across the road are a great challenge. The outdoor pool can get crowded, it's a little small compared with the size of the overall hotel so I highly recommend getting a cabana! It was great to have shade, a fridge to keep things cool and to know that I had a spot at the pool without stressing about it. The poolside service was friendly and the menu choices were very good. The hummus was fresh and nice to have a healthy choice. The lobbies and other seating areas around the hotel were nice. It was fun to have puzzles out all the time and a friendly way to interact with other guests. The Spa side of the hotel has updated, bright rooms with all the modern amenities one would expect. The bed was comfy and that side of the building is quiet. The Spa is great and if you're going to take advantage of it, it's nice to be on that side of the hotel. I'll review that separately. From front portico to bartenders and spa attendant, everyone was helpful and our stay was lovely. read more

Dubbed "The Palace in the Wilderness", the Omni Bedford is the perfect getaway for relaxing and taking in nature. Built in the 1800s, this historic hotel is known for its healing mineral waters and the various springs that surround it. The design and feel of the hotel hearkens back to the colonial era of our country as the hallways are lined with photos of patrons dating back to the 1800 and 1900s, as well as guestbooks in glass cases containing signatures of past presidents and cabinet members. I came during the fall season and it was beautiful. The foliage around the hotel was so vibrant and full of color. Across the hotel is a large hill with hiking trails, ranging from easy to moderate difficulty. The customer service was excellent. When booking through their website, I requested to have a welcome gift basket with snacks and a written joke. After checking in early, I eventually got a text saying my room was ready. Upon entering, instead of one joke, they placed several joke cards all over my room for some extra fun. It was a delight! Thanks Kyra! Omni, if you're reading this, give this woman a raise! Unfortunately due to Covid, a good half of the restaurants they offer were closed. The Frontier Tavern was ok, nothing special in terms of food. The Crystal Room was great though. The waitress was attentive and the shrimp scampi with lemon risotto that I ordered was delicious. Tillie's at the clubhouse is open only on weekends, but their crab flatbread was amazing! With regards to the spa, the staff was very articulate in explaining the process of the massage and bath ritual. After checking in, I was lead to the waiting room which was lined with couches for patrons to wind down prior to their massage. They also offered water and snacks when waiting. The massage itself was great, though I felt $175 to $185 (not including taxes/gratuity) felt a bit steep for only 50 minutes of massage time. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my time. We stayed at the Omni for a conference and were very pleased with the accommodations, the food (which was excellent) and all of the amentites. The pool complex was lovely. We enjoyed the bar and food service at the pool. The gym facilities were expansive--and best of all, the spa was fantastic!! My husband and I had massages--and one of the nicest features of the spa was the soaking pool, sauna, whirlpool and relaxation room. Probably my favorite place near by. Just really makes me feel good, safe, comforted and I am not being weird. I just love that this nice place is so close to one of my favorite places to be and remind me of my childhood. I love the entire establishment and the weirdest thing is that my favorite thing is the smell. You could blindfold me and spin me around then drive me to the Spring and I could sniff and tell you I was there. I just love it and would love to know what they use cause I would buy it and inhale it. (Not) (maybe) Every season is magical and to be a resort decorator must be the coolest job. Obviously people are going to spend money here, and some people don't like to commit to that so they don't visit. The wallpaper in the wedding area is one of my favorites and the diamond shaped mirror in the elevator. It's so neat to take the historical tour and learn about the reason it was built. The American flag at the check in counter is pretty neat, too. I love the pool and I love how you can walk around the entire grounds. read more

Very nice grounds and the hotel is well maintained. Jason at the front desk was very nice and accommodating when I asked for a different room; I didn't like the idea of the shared balcony on my room. There was an issue with my HVAC unit making a terrible noise at 5 am the one day. I called the desk and they sent someone within an hour. But then they called to say I had to move but then I didn't. So that was disjointed. But other than that I had a nice weeklong stay. The indoor pool was nice and clean too! I also liked the fitness center; small but clean and had the basics you needed. read more

APPALLING EXPERIENCE. I have visited this resort numerous times and spend freely and generously at each visit, including rounds of golf at the resort golf course. The resort handles golf bags from trunk to tee as a service. The service LOST my $200 wedge in that process. When I called and asked for assistance, I was first told they found my club in their possession and would mail it to me. I followed up days later and the pro shop informed me that they had no such club. I called OMNI customer service and was told they would fix the issue and at least credit me back for some portion of either golf or my stay. That was false. I called back days later and was told "The golf pro told us you cannot prove the wedge was stolen." I was flabbergasted. My wife is an Omni loyalty member, we frequent Omni resorts, and they lose my property and I am expected to "prove" someone stole my belongings? It's outrageous. I gave Omni and specifically Bedford PLENTY of time to sort this out and they've chosen to do nothing. I leave this review as a cautionary tale for any resort patrons that wish to golf there. read more

In 2022 I don't understand why we only saw one person of color working at this resort. Which is probably why we experienced the most racist, GET OUT movie , uncomfortable, and extremely weird stay that we have EVER experienced in life. Property The property is historic so if that's not your thing you wouldn't like. It gives very much old money. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, lots of places to take amazing photos. They really do a great job with the upkeep. Our room was ok. When we booked we were told the location of our room would award us with a picture perfect view of the rolling hillside- this was false. Our view was the side of a hill with tree debris on the ground. The walk to our room was extremely long, atleast 8 mins to the lobby and the elevator was extremely slow. After the racist encounters we experienced I didn't feel comfortable walking these halls alone, so we traveled in pairs. Our bathroom did come equipped with a vanity table, this was a very nice touch. Room was also very spacious. We opted out of having a porch or anything like that so it was a standard room. If you go to the left upon entering the resort, I believe that is the more renovated side. It's bright and not as dreary dark and old as the other side. Amenities Spa - We visited the spa and this is the first of where the outright racial encounters started. We enjoyed the spa bath, note this is self guided but extremely relaxing. Upon entering the pool two white women gave us a look of disgust and immediately left the pool. Like what y'all think we're gonna do? Pee in the water ?! But whatever bye Karen and Annie ! Most of the other women in the spa locker rooms looked at us as if we were in a circus as we walked through the hallways. Outdoor Pool- When we walked to the outdoor pool from the spa it was like the music stopped and we were the ones who turned it off. Although there wasn't any music playing !!! Every single eye in the pool stared us down while we looked for a seat. Talk about the movie Get Out! The pool is also the area where they had the only employee that wasn't white. As we were preparing our seats for a spot we found at the pool we encountered yet another racially motivated exchange. My gf was setting up our seats while I kinda stayed back a little and held our stuff. There was a young lady next to one of the seats that didn't see me standing behind her, do you know this girl watched my friend the entire time as if she owned all the pool chairs. Then finally the other woman that was with her says "hey honey do you want to switch your seat with me " ( I guess she knew that this girl didn't like the idea of sitting next to a black person) she replies "yes please " and gets up to move!!!!! So we're like whatever by Nancy. We decided once our food came we would sit at a table so we staked out a table and moved. Do you know little Nancy came back to her seat because she thought we had left ?!? Crazy right ? Food at the pool bar was decent. My gf said the gluten free tenders were the best she ever tasted. Drinks were also good. Pizza was very bland like school lunches and even came complete with a dead centipede in the box!!!! Umm yuck ! The waitress did handle it well and was extremely apologetic that this happened. Tally Ho Sports- they need to do better! We booked this property because of the ATV rides. Well they were broken and "waiting on parts" so we couldn't do it. So we opted for horseback riding and trap shooting. Horseback riding was cancelled the day before because something else was broken. They did offer us to go riding at another location, but that would've been off property and 15 mins away. So we ended up with just trap shooting. This was also off property but a very short distance. We had a great time trap shooting!!! The guys were extremely nice and made us first timers feel very comfortable. Larry was my instructor and the BEST! Be prepared to have a sore and bruised arm pit area afterwards though. We did 50 traps each and we all were sore. Climate - this is where you really need to pay attention especially if you are not white! The guest of this hotel have clearly NEVER seen black people before. Most of them looked at us as if we were museum artifacts. Some did that half happy half scared half smile, a few sped walk by us as if we were going to harm them and some just gave the look of "how are you in this space where I am". Two people gave us compliments, but it was overkill almost like look I'm not racist I'm saying your skin is beautiful. I think if you're mature enough to deal with this type of behavior you would be ok visiting. However if you're short fused and being stared at like you're entertainment bothers you, maybe you should avoid. I can not stress enough how this was thee WEIRDEST racist experience of my life. I will certainly be back. This hotel provided for a very relaxing vacation at a beautiful location. A really gorgeous property. The grounds of the property are beautiful and quite extensive. There are hiking trails just across the entrance of the hotel. Some of them are pretty steep and challenging, but they are all beautiful. One of the trails leads into the quaint downtown area which is a nice quarter-day activity to embark on and allows for stopping at a local coffee shop and seeing some of the unique old homes up close. Behind the hotel is another trail looping through the hotel's garden which was a neat place to have access to. Other outdoor activities include a variety of lawn games that can be played on a specially manicured section of the front lawn. There is also a golf course and tennis court available. The hotel itself is only 3 stories high but covers much ground which naturally creates many indoor seating areas. There were all types of seating options in the first floor public areas. From outside chaise lounges (a fav of mine) to rocking chairs to the main lobby and library, there were plenty of nooks and crannies to read a book or play a game and enjoy the hotel outside of your room (while still keeping a social distance). Up on the guest room floor, there was also a lounge space for working or socializing. The food at the hotel was amazing. I ordered room service for dinner and so thoroughly enjoyed the filet that I ordered it two nights in a row. I enjoyed eating it on my room's private balcony which overlooked the rear of the hotel with the outdoor pool off to the left. Aside from mask-wearing, everything felt really normal here. The only noticeable difference for Covid was that reservations were required to use the outdoor pool to prevent over crowding. Every employee I encountered over my long weekend stay, from the gift shop to the restaurants, with the exception of just 1 person, were going above and beyond with following safety protocols. This is a beautiful, historic resort. I remember seeing it when it had been abandoned and many thought it would be demolished. Thanks goodness, Omni took it over and made it into a wonderful destination. It is pricey, but the service is outstanding. Husband and I met family from out of state who were staying here. They were extremely happy with all the amenities. They both enjoyed the spa services very much. We had a great lunch and a quick walk around the grounds. Husband and I left agreeing that coming here for a getaway maybe in our future. read more

I stayed here overnight as a nice getaway. I've stayed here pre covid and was impressed with how clean the facility is. I wore my mask while indoors but not sure on current policy. I arrived on a Tuesday and was able to use the outdoor pool for 2 sessions. You have to sign up in advance and can only reserve 1 session per day and stay longer based on availability. Of note you have to close your check after each pool session. I highly recommend the lavender and grapefruit cocktails I also had a hydra facial at the Springs Eternal spa. It is 200 for 25 mins but it was one of the best facials I ever had. They use a machine to suck out impurities! read more

EV charging available and the valet made sure I got my rental vehicle fully charged. In-room dining was delicious as we got in late in the evening. Great upscale resort in rural PA. The place has been around long before the Omni Hotel co was even conceived, so bear this in mind when wondering why some things are not "up to date." It was a Victorian resort built around the local springs, and Omni has done a great job of preserving it. Room was clean and well-kept, COVID protocols seem good, and staff is all warm and friendly. Amazing! We stayed here for the weekend and it was beyond fabulous. The restaurants that were available were pricey of course but they had maxing customer service and some very tasty meal options. My only advice is get reservations far in advance of your stay or you'll have no choice but to have a very late dinner I.e. 8 pm or later. First the valet and service staff was very polite and helpful. Second the spa was fabulous. The spa staff is top notch in customer service I.e. genuinely friendly. The hot tub area is so relaxing. They have a cooling pool and plenty of showers. Then they have a quiet relaxing room with snacks and infused water. They have blankets for you to curl up with to wait for your treatments. Absolutely stress free environment. The grounds themselves are beautiful. Plenty of hiking trails and a golf course. I will have to say Tillies was by far my favorite dining experience. Not as pricey and the food was delicious. Customer service overall was pretty good at all the restaurants but My least favorite customer service experience was at 1796. Although we had a nice server you could tell her friendliness was forced which made the dining experience somewhat award. However the food there was perfection so it was quickly forgotten. We plan to return in the spring. Five star experience all around!!! read more

I must say that I will always hold Bedford Springs near and dear to my heart as this is where my husband and I tied knot. The ambience of this hotel is near perfect to me. It's absolutely beautiful and stunning. We have stayed in three different types of rooms over the years from the spa-side double room, spa-side premier luxury Junior suite and a king size historic room. While the historic was was beautiful, it certainly was nowhere near as nice as the spa-side. The one thing that I have noticed over the years is that the customer service is lacking. Our most recent stay, I had requested a room upgrade that they were unable to accommodate which, was understandable. I booked the love and luxury package that included a late check-out at 1pm which was the main reason I booked the package. Well, long story short, the front desk attendant gave me a very hard time about a late check-out and he would not let us stay past 12:30. You would think that they would try their hardest to accommodate a reservation that specified a late check-out time. He went on to give me a sob story of how he would be in trouble with the housekeeping staff and that the guests coming later that day (Sunday) would not be able to check-in until after 5:00 pm because of my late check-out request. For a lovely weekend, we pay close to, if not more than we would spend on a week in the Caribbean. For the amount of money that you spend on accommodations, meals, spa, golf, etc. you would think that their customer service would be a little bit better. We love coming to Bedford Springs Omni Resort! It's very "homey" and had a wonderful vibe during the holidays (we always come during thanksgiving/Christmas time) and their decorations are beautiful. The lobby is filled with seats you can sit at and lounge around, there's a beautiful indoor pool, a nice game room with billiards, a fitness center, etc. In the small bar area, they have more lounge chairs and puzzles to do. The rooms are very clean, comfy, and roomy. We try to make it a tradition to come to their Thanksgiving Buffet in the Collonade Ballroom. It's from 11am-4pm on Thanksgiving Day. We usually go around 3:30-4pm. They have a beautiful spread of Thanksgiving food, a carving station, salad table, a delightful dessert station, cheese plates, shrimp cocktail etc. This year the fee was ~$72 per person including gratuity but not including tax. Non-alcoholic drinks are included. If you have chance to try out, I definitely recommend. I debated between three and four stars....but because the grounds are beautiful, I opted to give four stars. The walking/hiking trails are gorgeous. The scenery is breathtaking. However, there are some things that weren't the greatest for a resort... First, adding outrageous 'resort' fees is not good. The room fees are already pretty steep, then they add approximately $40 a night on top of that fee, which you don't know about until you get the 'final' bill. Or if you book on line, you find out about that extra fee when the costs is calculated. If places charge 'resort fees,' then they should be offering a lot more than what they offer here. Use of the indoor pool doesn't cut it for a resort fee. Resorts have a lot more to do than just offering a pool. The prices at the restaurants are extremely pricey. We opted to go off sight and found places that were much cheaper and in all honesty, we probably got much more food for the money we paid than what we would have gotten at the pricey, fancy restaurants on site. The hallways were freezing. The room was chilly too because air comes in through the windows. Granted it's an old place, but they could update the windows or insulation around them. The rooms are nice, but not super wonderful. Basically the same type of room you will get anywhere, except here, you get to pay the resort fee on top of the nightly price. There really isn't anything over the top about the rooms. We were told that we received a free upgrade...a room with a porch. That wasn't anything exciting....a porch that everyone shares with a rocking chair. Again, the property is very pretty. Not saying we would never return, but probably not any time real soon. read more

I enjoyed a perfect spa day trip on my Birthday on Friday 6th of March, 2020. This was my first time visiting the resort and I was blown away from the moment I drove up to the property! I have visited the Omni Las Costa Spa in San Diego, and I think the Omni Bedford Springs Resort has taken it's place as my new favorite relaxation escape! I would like to give a special thanks to Jackie who assisted me in booking my spa day with short notice as she was able to get my sister and I in at our preferred service times and was so sweet and professional. The spa facilities were spacious, uncrowded, and incredibly peaceful! I loved the offerings of flavored mineral water and teas in the relaxation lounge. Kelcie was my spa therapist for the day and she provided two wonderful services. I received The Ladies Cut and Style and the Springs Eternal Spa Pedicure! As a fellow licensed nail technican, I was truly appreciative of her gentle touch and meticulous care that allowed for a truly relaxing pedicure. As for my haircut, I am so happy with it she delivered on all my requests! The receptionist and spa attendants and everyone we encountered during our stay delivered exceptional service. I have been here at least four times for a conference. First the staff here is very friendly and accommodating. Ex. Today I hard breakfast in the crystal room. The pancakes were too heavy so Liz my server was very willing to replace my choice with the another selection. I wasn't that enthralled with that either and maybe not as hungry and I thought and w/o asking Liz took it off my bill. The golf course is first rate. They have a very nice fitness center now that they moved it. And get this, they actually offered maid service daily. Prices are a little high for food and beverage. This is overpriced, tasteless food with little to NO imagination. Because we have family in the area we come to visit several times a year to Bedford. We were excited when this retreat originally known as Bedford Springs was restored. It has a beautiful interior but the food is poor at best. I could have poured something out of a can and done as well when it came to the soup. Unfortunately the large corporation that owns the facility has difficulty "playing nice" with the locals. read more
