The new seamstress opened the dress and showed me how butchered my dress was and she isn't even sure it can be fixed. I'll find out 3 days before my wedding. This might be a good place to have something hemmed be be VERY CAREFUL about anything more involved than that. The owner is mad that I didn't let her fix her mistake, but I'm just not willing to take the chance. It should have been done right the first time. Now she won't respond to me at all. She had my dress for over a month and it looks like she spent 5 minutes on it. What a terrible experience. : ( Can't comment on her comment so here's and update. It's funny that the owner thinks that I would choose to create an issue for myself just before my wedding. That doesn't make any sense. I didn't comment on the horrible and sloppy job she did, that is correct. I chose not to because she would have wanted to "fix it" and I didn't want her hands on my dress again. If someone gave you a terrible haircut, would you let them have another shot at fixing it?? I think not. The main amount of stress that I'm dealing with regarding my wedding was caused by this woman butchering my dress. She also had to correct another dress in my wedding party. When they brought it back her comment was "it looks like a drunk person did it". Wow. I believe in doing it right the first time. So if you're willing to take a chance, use her. If you want it done right the first time... STAY AWAY. I was also accused of trying to ruin her business. If anyone thinks I planned this, that's crazy. Plus she's doing enough damage to her business on her own with the work she's putting out. She doesn't need help there.

When I picked up the suit, I was told there wasn't enough material in the jacket to loosened it so they just fixed the pants. I tried to explain that it was a suit and only fixing the pants didn't help me at all. The man that works there said I should have told him not to fix the pants, if they couldn't fix the jacket, but i didn't know until I picked up the suit and I was initially told both could be altered. He said he didn't care and I believe him. ****** If they didn't tell me there was enough material in the jacket to loosen it, I wouldn't have left the suit to be altered at all. ******

They texted my sister 10 minutes after leaving and said they would no longer be able to fix it bc they have no time.. we were very honest about our timeframe from the very beginning. Now, we have taken it to 4 different tailors after picking it up that same day and NO ONE can fix it because of how HORRIBLE it was cut. Why cut it and AFTER tell us that you can't fix it???? Who is going to compensate my sister for not being able to get the dress tailored, not being able to return it because it's now ruined??? And her having to now buy a new dress???? I bought a dress for my daughters wedding that was made for taller women. She was able to just look and it and tell me what needed to be done from taking up the shoulders, taking in the hips that hit too low and hemming two layers of the gown. The dress is fully lined and she had to remove the sleeves, take the shoulders up a couple inches and then reattach them. It looks amazing and it fits me so well now. I will be able to walk my daughter down the aisle with confidence thanks to Causeway Alterations.
