The owner was on hand and when we ordered coffee we tried to make sure that make sure that they would have milk. He said we wouldn't need it and while we still were adamant about the milk, we held off once he suggested we try it before he brought out milk. He was so right. Our mistake (and we owned up to that)! We were having Cafe de Olla! Served in cute little clay pots, this sweet but not overly so, is spiced with piloncillo, dark brown sugar, cinnamon and a few other spices. While the color was deep black, the taste was anything but. If I was a millionaire I would have this shipped up fresh to me every morning. My gosh do I miss it. Wonderful service and a great meal!
