Solid place for lunch or brunch. We've been to the location in River North as well, same quality food. We've tried: - Flautas - Tres Leches French Toast - Steak & Eggs All were great. The French toast is very sweet, so if that's not your thing then maybe go for a savory option.

We stopped by here on a Saturday night with no reservation and we were able to get a table right away. We had no expectations and we're just looking for a place to eat after a long day of moving my son into his dorm at DePaul. It has a really nice environment and the servers are all very pleasant and helpful. The food was good, but nothing special, especially for the price point. I live in Los Angeles and I've eaten a lot of Mexican food at all points on the spectrum. I understand they are trying to elevate the food here. However, I don't think it is elevated enough and the flavors are not unique enough for me to want to pay the prices of this restaurant. It certainly is a nice vibe restaurant and if you're just looking for a night out and don't care about price or quality of food, this might be the place. But if you are looking for really good flavorful Mexican food at a reasonable price, this might not be the place for you. I give the restaurant vibe and the service a five and the food a three.

Went here tonight with a group for dinner. Our experience was easily and collectively one of the worst we've ever had. First, the food was not good in any way. Instead, it was universally bad. Everyone in our group was disappointed with what they ordered. Bones were found in the meat this restaurant served. We were all confused by how bad the food was, across the board. Second, their billing practices did not make up for their bad food. They charged cards approximately 28.57% more than the total calculated menu prices, plus tax. No additional charge was disclosed or explained. Third, the gentleman who presented as a manager appeared impaired and became increasingly belligerent. He was visibly swaying while standing and refused to acknowledge or answer questions regarding the billing discrepancy, which he did not dispute and appeared to acknowledge when we asked questions. As we were leaving, however, this individual interacted with a member of our party, got in his face, made physical contact, called him a "fucking pussy," and challenged him to touch him again. Yes, read this in disbelief -- we were all in disbelief when we saw it. Truly unreal. Huge red flags as to this person who this place has chosen to employ, and to hold out as a manager of a restaurant in Chicago's vibrant Lincoln Park neighborhood. In summary, don't go here. The food is poor quality and unappetizing. The service of "management" was easily the worst and most concerning of anything ever experienced by our group.

The bartenders are always very friendly and check in often which is always appreciated. You're always immediately given little pretzels to snack on which I love as a unique touch. This time we both chose a more standard cocktail, but they also always have very unique and delicious seasonal cocktails which are always amazing! I would definitely recommend Elixir to anyone looking for a spot to grab a quick and delicious cocktail!

It was the right move because it had the kind of chill vibe we were seeking after a long flight from SFO. Fortunately there were two seats at the bar with our names on them. Figuratively speaking. They had quite a signature cocktail list on hand, and we felt it was our obligation to try as many as we could. At least that was what we said to ourselves as the evening wore on. Each cocktail was $14. We started with a couple of familiar libations. Jamie ordered the Mint Julep, a delightfully Deep South mix of bourbon, simple syrup, and fresh mint (photo: https://yelp.to/u-td8LdPLj). I went further south with the Pineapple Margarita which was emboldened by a tropically potent mix of pineapple infused tequila, lime juice, and agave (photo: https://yelp.to/V-Sf6Q_2qK). We got a bit bolder with our second round and found mixed results. Jamie had the Not Your Mom's Daiquiri which amped up the margarita by blending pineapple-infused tequila with Bacardi 8-year rum. Along with fresh lime and simple syrup, this one definitely had more of a kick (photo: https://yelp.to/1ZijDf6wMV). However, my order, the Pontiac Pony, was a spicy miss for me. It was a rather oddball mix of apple-cinnamon infused vodka, pear liqueur, fresh squeezed lemon juice, and ginger beer (photo: https://yelp.to/5dQoFdzG98). There was just a harshness that didn't sit well on my tongue. Oh well, the mellow vibe was cool. It's a delightful location right across the street from Gallagher Way and Wrigley Field -- but it's not a sports bar, it's a nice restaurant. It's not large, but there are a decent number of 2 and 4-tops, plus bar seats. I was pleasantly greeted on arrival, and throughout my stay, I was treated so well by waiter Landon, plus front-of-house staff. I got the mussels (from Prince Edward Island, which are the best) in an incredibly rich garlic broth with lardons and Fresno peppers -- the crisp baguette slices were perfect for soaking up more of the delicious broth. I also got the Sweet Potato Rosti. Almost charred outside, yet sweet and tender inside -- so delicious, with a set of surprises to go with it (creamy horseradish sauce, onion marmalade, trout roe...) Both appetizer dishes were delicious and served as a full meal for one person (I recommend the rosti as a shared dish - it's a bit much for one person). Finished with crème brûlée - delicious with a fun garnish of charred marshmallow. I tried a couple of their ballpark drinks. The Bleacher Tea was outstanding - a good balance (not too sweet) with a nice tea flavor and a kick. The Day Game Daze was a little less successful (I wasn't really getting the coffee, as it seemed the Bonanto and sweet vermouth were dominating). Overall, a wonderful experience before a Cubs game!

There was some major drinking event going on and while the streets were wild, Mordecai did not participate. We were seated promptly with reservation and greeted by Avery who was sweet, kind and helpful with getting us familiar with the menu. We ordered cocktails which both came to us balanced and tasty, I can always appreciate when there is craft ice for an old fashioned! The Arancini was so tasty, very happy they did not overdue the Saffron We ordered the Mordecai and the deluxe burger which both came out delicious and finished every bite. It's also mentionable that some rowdy types tried to come in and the hostess did be sure to verify that behavior did not disrupt their patrons which we were very happy to see. Thank you for caring about the experience of everyone! Overall a great spot and we will return in the future!

This venue was decorated to the max for the upcoming Christmas holidays. Every nook and cranny has Christmas all over it. Even though turkey day hasn't happened, we were into it. For this occasion we sat at the bar. It was slammed. Only two bartenders and one bar back made for a long wait. I only ended up getting one cocktail because by the time they got around to the asking again, I was ready to go. For drink I order the Prixkly B*tch which was a play on a prickly pear margaritas. It was good and well balanced. For food, I ordered the Spinach Dip with was served pipping hot with crusty toasted bread. It was really delicious. I wished I grabbed the meatballs too but we had dinner plans. All in all, cute venue and would return. Scored a super cute selfie with my love and we had a good time. An added benefit is that Wrigleyville Christmas Market is up and popping across the street. Cool event but be prepared for parking as it is crowded over here while the Christmas events are going on in this area.
