This place is a very consolidated Mercado, but offers a wide variety of meats, produce, and best of all a Fruteria & Ice Cream area. They have unique fruit and dairy popsicles, regular scoop ice cream, mangonadas, fruit cups, smoothies, and more. I mainly came in for some ice cream, but their produce prices are very good right now, so I will definitely be back to take advantage of that. The meat choices are endless from chicken, beef, pork, chorizo, longaniza, Cornish game hens, fajitas, and much more! There's plenty of fresh seafood to choose from as well as pre-made ceviches and aguachiles. They also have pre-made salsas that looked really good, and homemade flour tortillas. Parking is very limited here so you're better off parking on the street. Overall, a cute little market that I will definitely be shopping at for fresh produce and meats. read more

What a fun little market offering a good selection of fresh fish and meats, as well as and extensive selection of produce, breads and canned goods. Thanks to server Lupita who was very friendly and helpful. One of the highlights is their two different Ceviches. Either shrimp and/or white fish, both are spicy and delicious. Good meat selections and I like how they have some super thinly sliced. Prices of the meats were good. Smaller than Santa Cruz across the street but it makes it easier to shop for things on sale or fresher products. I like how they have a good variety of seafood. Some of the veggies ( Serrano pepper ) were ok but didn't seem super fresh. We did get some good onions for the grand opening sale. But it's clean inside and has la Michoacana so you can get some desserts. read more

This place is amazing for your Latin food preparation needs. The store although small has a lot to choose from in regards to produce and meat selection. The meat is decently priced per pound, they have marinated options and ceviche ready to eat. They have produce that you other wise would not find at your regular supermarkets such as vons or Ralph's. The spices and chiles that they have vary to make those delicious at home plates. The staff very friendly and helpful especially reaching items in high places. They have a selection of homemade salsas and guacamole, be careful though if you are spicy sensitive. They also have a Michoacána on site for those ice cream and Latin snack cravings. This hidden gem shares a parking lot with the Rudy's restaurant on Montecito St, across from the Neighborhood bar. read more

My wife wanted us to stop by here because we were next door eating at Rudy. She came in here and saw that they had a Mexican water drink. This place is right across the street from the hotel we were staying at. The plaza that this store is at doesn't have a lot of parking spots so be aware of that. They had some good selections of meat but we didn't purchase anything beside my wife drink. read more

They had some good sales on their opening day we got some short ribs that were really marbled and tasted like Wagyu. They also have a lot of seafood especially octopus and baby octopus. their produce on the other hand does not seem the freshest. I would come back here for their meat sales. read more

Just opened July 3rd. Already a line out the door. A real Mexican grocery (most signs in Spanish, and most of the people there were speaking Spanish). Next door to the venerable Rudy's Mexican restaurant (but unrelated). Carniceria, fruteria, Michiocana (meat, fruits and veggies, and ice cream). Nice hand-painted murals of SB along the ceiling inside. I hope it'll be a compliment to, not competition for, sweet old Santa Cruz Market down the street. Well, this was un unplanned grocery stores visit, so was driving to go home and saw this place, I saw plenty of parking, so why not check it out. We always need groceries right? So walked in, masks are definitely being required as I did see girl at registers so a customer he needed a mask, he didn't have any so she gave him one. All employees attentive, made it straight to meat department and couple asked to help, which I wasn't ready, but great customer service there. It looked like good quality meat, chicken. And an assortment of fish. Did end up with couple whole fishes, and some taco meat ( aka brisket) suadero in Spanish !!! Guess what's for dinner!! So over all nice experience, one thing I wish was that they had more space between aisles and maybe they would have a bigger assortment of varies other items. Will try to be back when I really need groceries! And by the way they have like a full ice cream bar!!! And will be back for some over cream too! read more

I'm writing this to warn people about this place. I was there recently and I purchased meat that amounted to no more than $50 all together and I also bought a few onions and like 6 pieces of corn .. when I received my total it was less than $60 .. I recently checked my bank statement and this place over charged me to the amount of $104 .. I called the place and the guy who answered told me without a receipt we can't help you! I told him the exact things I bought and told him that there's no way it would amount to over $100! Long story short he told me he couldn't help without receipt period. I assumed this place was legitimate and honest therefore why keep a receipt after I already had signed for a certain amount ?! To top it off my experience there with the butchers were bad ..they whisper to each other and make fun of what you buy or how many lbs you get. Like really?? Suspiciously enough my partner also went there at previous time and told me the same thing about her being ripped off from the same place. Please do yourself a favor and Do not go here. Go across the street to Santa Cruz they are way more professional! And I have never been overcharged there read more

You have to try this place for their amazing selection of ice cream and popsicle. Huge selection of flavors. Today we tried Ferrero Rocher and Fruta de Crema popsicles. Very creamy and rich. Gaste un buen dinero en esta tienda ya que era mi primera vez. Se me antojaba todo. Ordene 2 libras de aguachiles verdes. Le pregunte al carnicero cuando los habian hecho y dijo "creo ayer". Tambien fui a la Michoacana ordene varias cosas, pero una de ellas eran "Nachos". Para hacer esto mas corto los chips estaban super "rancios", nada crujientes y los aguachiles pesimos, super salados, y tenian un sabor raro. Como vende esto siendo tienda nueva?
